Two battery replacements — $ 48.36. And the receipt says I «saved $ 47.16». So $ 95.52 to replace two tiny batteries. When I dropped my two watches off, I was told that it would be $ 23 after he muttered something about a 5 year battery replacement. Maybe it’s my fault for not asking enough questions but the way it was presented was very misleading. If you go here, do not opt for the plan. Just get the battery replaced for $ 12.99.

So apparently these other reviews are rather outdated and do not at all correlate with my experience. I recently purchased a watch, G-Shock, from here. I was in the market for a new watch since I had lost my old G-Shock. The young guy who helped me out was very informative, really knowledgeable, and provided a great shopping experience. I am one to be very particular about customer service and I can say that this kiosk ranks above any other actual watch store I’ve been to(mind the fact that I shopped around for watches quite a bit of time on multiple occasions). I forget the name of the guy who helped me out, but he was great, hands down.

I regret coming here! I’ve been to similar watch repair kiosks in other cities and this one was the worst! A replacement battery was about $ 30 with sales tax and it took for ever. The technician wasn’t courteous either. If you want to pay a lot of money and be treated poorly, then come here. If you don’t, I’d suggest another place.

So I went to the kiosk during my lunch to get my battery replaced since my watch wasn’t working. The sales man advised me it would be $ 50 for a new battery, I started laughing since that was SO expensive. He then said ok, $ 25 for a battery replacement. So I left to get some food & came back & he said he barely got it working. Well it worked for about 4 minutes, just long enough to go back to my car & not be late back to work. When I brought it back the next day the sales man advised me it would be $ 89 to fix my $ 80 watch. They replaced a perfectly good battery and took $ 27 from me & now want to fix my watch for $ 89 more, are you kidding me? Why did you replace a perfectly good battery if that wasn’t what needed fixing or changing? I highly recommend NOT going to this kiosk for fixing or replacing of anything watch related.

Man behind the counter was helping another customer, but helped me while the customer was busy on the phone. Explained that I needed a new watch stem for my Nixon Time Teller P and quoted me at $ 70, which is more than the price of the watch brand new. What a rip off. Service was rude, but maybe he was just judging me because I’m just a college student and not a Rolex owner.

Terrible service. I just needed a new crysatal and was told it was in stock. They told me they would fix my watch while I had dinner. I came back to find they messed it up. It has been almost two months and I still do not have my watch back. No one has called to let me know about my watch. My girlfriend made a trip to the mall to get the watch only to be told it would be another two weeks. That was almost a month ago. Today I got nowhere on the phone trying to track down my watch. Incompetent service. I would give no stars if it were a choice.

I went here today after nearly 3 years of dead battery procrastination with my favorite watch. As you can surmise from the previous statement, I hate running small random errands, so when I suddenly felt the inspiration to finally get it done, I had a bit of difficulty finding a watch repair shop that was open on a Sunday afternoon. For 2 watches I was charged about $ 40 for new batteries, waterproofing, and 5-year warranties. Though this was way more than I was looking to spend(especially when the 5-star place closed on Sundays charges $ 7.99), I knew as I was standing there in the misting rain, kids in tow, watches in hand, I would likely not have this rare burst of watch energy for another 3 years and sucked it up. Sometimes your time is worth the money… no pun intended.

I came here after I was turned away by the Kay Jewelers in the same mall and they«referred» me here. I brought my Rado watch to show them that the bracket in the back was broken. The young man measured my hand and said«we can take two more notches off to make it work» and I said«no, the watch fits me perfectly already, if you take two notches off, it’ll be too small!» he measured me again and said«you’re right» and hands it off to another woman. She fixes it and he convinced my husband to sign up for a $ 25 service that allows us to get our batteries replaced and cleanings for free. My husband agreed to sign up for it. The watch came back to me to measure on my wrist and I put it on, it was pinching my skin on my wrist and I couldn’t get it off. Another guy came and helped me get it off. I told them it was too small and I need that notch back. He said he can’t fix the bracket of the watch without removing that notch. He wrote down the watch information and said he’ll email Rado and ask them to send in a few notches to them and they’ll give us a call. They charged us $ 10 for that messed up service and I walked away with my watch. Looking closely, I realized they ruined the onyx on the face plate on my watch. It was already bad enough my watch doesn’t fit me, now they just ruined the onyx! I walk back and showed them that they ruined the onyx. They offered to replace it with a small black diamond from another watch to hide that scratch. The scratch was rather big and even the black diamond wouldn’t cover it. I got upset and told them forget it and told them to screw themselves. Jerks! Now I have a watch that’s too small for me to wear and with a gigantic white scratch on the onyx face. *Sigh* Oh and my husband changed his mind on the $ 25 service afterwards.

I bought two different watches so far from this kiosk in the UTC mall. One of them was a Guess watch with baggett crystals around the face. After only a couple of months one of the baggett crystals fell out. I brought it back to them and they checked with the manufacture, Guess, and they said they would not cover the outside of the watch, but only the internal parts. Precision Time said they would eat the cost and had Guess repair it. They were professional and called me when my watch was ready for pick up.

This place is so lame, but I guess you can’t really expect awesomeness from a mall kiosk. My «laundry day» watch battery died and I just wanted something that worked as the watch was my crappy, scratched up knock around one.(The nice watch goes to the jeweler). They wanted $ 20 to replace the battery, which is highway robbery if you know anything… I ended up taking it to a jewelry repair store where they only charged a few dollars. Most reputable places charge less than $ 10 for basic watch batteries, even if it’s waterproof. I’m seriously considering just buying a cheapie from Wal-Mart every time the battery dies, some of their watches cost less than the battery itself.

I was in a rush to find a watch battery and just happened to walk by this kiosk in the mall, so figured it was as good of a place as any. I showed the girl behind the counter my watch and she started by saying it would be $ 25(prices are approximates — I don’t remember exactly), but then some guy behind her chimed in «No, not for that watch, for THAT watch we have to do blah, blah, blah, replacement, blah, warranty blah and that will be $ 65 but I’LL give it to you for $ 55.» I followed up with«Ok, that all sounds great, but couldn’t I JUST buy the battery?» He continued to say how that wasn’t possible, and that I had to pay for all the blah blah with it… for this particular watch, mind you. Out of desperation, I agreed and came back 20 minutes later to pay and pick up the watch. When I saw the receipt, I suddenly felt totally ripped off. The breakdown showed $ 18 for the battery, $ 20 for this or that, $ 20 for a 3 year warranty, etc. I again questioned«Couldn’t I have just paid the $ 18 for the battery and skipped the warranty?» All he could say was«No, no we can’t do that, and besides the warranty is good for you. you’ll end up saving money with it.» I do not like strange salespeople telling me what’s good for me, and I really don’t like being suckered into purchasing something I didn’t need just to satisfy their sales quota.
