Had an amazing time here with my boyfriend on Monday night, I ordered the pizza with pulled pork and buffalo sauce(cannot remembered what it was called) ANDITWASSODAMNGOOD. Two types of cheese, peppercinis and grilled onions. Best pizza I ever had — the crust is so soft but crispy at the same time? They put the cheese ONTOP of the toppings! Had a few flights of beer and a fun time playing video games. Great customer service and very very clean place.

Place was busy which was expected for a Friday night! Ordered Caesar salad, beer buddies, and large pepperoni pizza. Food was staggered with salad coming first, beer buddies, and pizza about 15 minutes from the salad. Ordering was confusing! 1 line was food only and the beer line was to the entry door. Wife found a small spot at a communal picnic table and I continued to wait. After getting through the food line and delivering my wife her soda I once again waited in the beer line. This took about 25 minutes to get 2 pints of double IPA. Overall salad was average. Beer Buddies were mediocre. They are just pieces of crust with garlic and a hint of cheese. I enjoyed the pizza sauce but was disappointed in the firmness. It was real doughy and I like a pizza firm and crispy. Overall it was a decent pie. I just had high expectations with fellow Unilocal reviews.

Excellent selection of draft beers! Every one picking up a beer glass needs an ID. Pizzas, wings, and garlic buddies were a hit. Medium thickness crust with excellent bounce. This location is smaller and even more rowdy than the Carlsbad location. Tiny parking lot and street parking available.

Excellent beer is what really sets this place apart. The pizza is pretty ok but the beer… It’s amazing. We went here when we were visiting San Diego from Tucson. The location is great, it’s right in the middle of ob just a block from the water. They have a patio which is great for people watching. We love this place and will come here every time we visit San Diego.

I think I am a fan of all Pizza Ports. Great Pizza and their own awesome beers. Who wouldn’t dig it? Come here for the atmosphere too because its always has some rad people! I think I tried so many different beers while I was here. The Strawberry Ale. Fruity girls unite! The Vietnamese Stout… taste like delicious coffee with a kick to it. All the other ones I can’t remember the name but it was all pretty good! Oh wait for all the light beer drinkers try the California Honey … made with real honey. you’ll thank me later!

Great atmosphere!!! Good Pizza, Good beer. There are better places in San Diego for pizza, but this is the place with the best atmosphere from where I’ve been in the area. I came here during a football game and they had plenty of screens for me to watch my team win against the Chargers on Monday night football. :) It’s near the pier too, so walk off your pizza and beer belly there. Good times.

Ordered a large pizza half La Haina and half Roma along with a pitcher of Chronic. Good pizza and beer total bill came to $ 50. Not cheap but good quality. Come after 7pm to avoid the masses of kids. I’m not a big fan of the seating arrangement but the outside seating is ok. Prices a bit on the high side. I wish they had a better happy hour and they don’t have one on Friday. I’m a big fan of their beers and pizza good so I’d come back for a special tasting event or lunch special deal.

Came here from out of town and had a pizza craving. Was told this was the place to go and was hoping it would live up to the hype. Place was packed and it def had a trendy feel. Created my own pizza for a reasonable price and at the end of the meal I was satisfied enough to provide a 5 star rating which is rare for me. This place lives up the hype and I would recommend.

So the question is this: First and foremost, is Pizza Port a phenomenal pizza parlor? Or is it a world-class brew pub? The answer is — BOTH! If you’re in the San Diego area looking for top notch pizza, then Pizza Port is the place for you. If you’re looking to sample some award-winning craft beers, then… Pizza Port is the place for you. It’s a win-win! I’ve had the fortune to be able to try out a few of their locations. On a recent trip to San Diego, my friends and I met up at the Ocean Beach location. Located on a corner in OB just a block away from the shoreline, Pizza Port offers great pizza and beer in a family-friendly environment. We ordered a few pies for the group. My favorite: Meet Extreme Meat. This pie features a light and crispy crust topped with every meat under the sun: pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, meatballs and salami! If you’re a meat-lover, then this is the pizza for you! To even things out, we also ordered a garlic veggie pizza and some appetizers(wings, carrots, celery, yum…) To wash it all down, I went with The Jetty — always a good bet at Pizza Port! It’s an IPA that packs a hoppy and satisfying punch. So good! If you’re looking for a cool beachside eatery to hang out with friends and family, where you can enjoy good food and beer — you can’t go wrong with Pizza Port OB!

I was very impressed with my experience here. Both our service and food was excellent. It was very crowded when we arrived, but I was still able to find seating and our food was served rather quickly for how packed it was. They had several TV’s on playing different football games. My friends and I found a seat right under a TV and when we asked to switch the TV to a different football game, a staff member immediately came over and changed it for us. Every staff member that I encountered was really nice and helpful. Since they brew some of their beers that they serve on site, I decided to try one and was impressed with its quality. Two of my guy friends and I split the large Pizza Vallarta and it was the perfect amount of food for all three of us. It has just the right amount of spice and tasted great! I would definitely order it again but I am also eager to try other items on their menu that caught my eye. I will definitely be back here very soon and highly recommend this place to friends.

Great food and friendly staff! The obvious… get pizza and beer!!! I’ve been to their Carlsbad location and this location and pizza is what it’s all about. Great drink specials even during busy gamedays. Only downer is that parking is limited and this is a pretty congested neighborhood with tons of other stores and eateries so you may experience driving up and down the streets a while before you find a spot… or you might just luck out and get a spot in the parking lot!

I ordered a salad and pizza here and both were reallly good. There’s one line to order food only(in front of you when you walk in) and another if you want to get booze & pizza(slightly to the left). They had a lot of custom pizza options but none really caught my eye so I just ordered a pepperoni, portobello, & green pepper one. Also ordered a cesar salad which was good too. When your food is ready, they’ll call your name and the food item you’re picking up(ex. Donna salad). The food isn’t ready all at once so you’ll be making multiple trips to the register counter to bring it back to your table. This is great if you’re really hungry and don’t want to wait long to eat.

I’ve lived in San Diego for 10 years, had beers from Pizza Port and Port brewing, heard awesome reviews, but never made it here until this week. The communal seating kind of annoyed me. Especially when I heard it’s a place people bring their kids. But when I FINALLY tried it, boy have I been missing out! I came for a special IPA night during craft beer week and Pizza Port did not disappoint. They had over 20 taps of beers all from the different Pizza Port locations. So many fun things to try and they did growler fills on ALLOFTHEM. Major score! No brewery ever does that with special releases. But what about the food? One word– awesome! The pizza has the right amount of doughy-ness. I’m over the thin crust East Coast movement. Paying more for less food that tastes like a cracker? Meh. This is a perfect balance between that and deep dish. Right where a pizza should be. The crust is flavorful and yeasty. I ordered the BBQ chicken with pineapple and I have to say their BBQ sauce is one of the best. Not overly sweet with the right amount of tang. Paired with a fresh helping of cheese, sliced onions and chicken = an amazing pizza. Do yourself a favor– Stop reading this and go check Pizza Port out. If you like pizza and craft beer, you won’t be disappointed.

The beer is good, the atmosphere is fun. The pizza is neither. The crust is way too doughy and undercooked. The cheese is added last — on top of toppings — so the first bite takes everything off and leaves you with what is effectively a dinner roll. Maybe we would have had better luck with a large pie? The wings tasted great but were greasy and spongy. Go to Surfrider instead.

I heard this was one of the best places for wings and pizza in San Diego. Well, I love pizza and wings so it was only natural that I would add it to the list of places to try. As promised we tried the wings as an appetizer. They were good. The baked wings came with a traditional buffalo style sauce and there was a good number of them. We also grabbed some mozzarella sticks for good measure. They were ok. Not bad by any means but not special.

We also grabbed some mozzarella sticks for good measure. They were ok. Not bad by any means but not special. Now, the main attraction. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. It had a very generous amount of pepperoni which was awesome. The crust is not the traditional crust that I am used to in NY style pizza, but it was still good. I probably ate Overall, It was good, but not terrific. I will probably come back and try some different items. The list of potential menu items to try is long(Mac & cheese bites, portzel, BBQ chicken pizza, cheeseburger pizza, pulled pork create your own pizza.) I would give this place 3.5 stars to 4, but for me What brings it down a star is the kids. Yes I’m heartless. Have you seen the other reviews? They are right. At 9pm on a Friday night I do not want to sit at a communal table with an infant that’s sitting on the table. I came for pizza, beer, and wings… But I guess so did that baby… And I guess I can’t deny that little future brewmaster entry but it is off putting for me. I will keep it in mind if I ever have out of town visitors with munchkins though.

Italian quality for sure! Ever since I had pizza in Italy nothing really taste good anymore. It’s hard to beat heaven. But this place was as good as pizza in Italy. It was crispy but soft at the same time. Great flavor, very fresh and this place is a HAVETOGOANDTRYIT place for sure.

I love their pizza! Make sure you have gum if you are going to eat the garlic buddies ~ tons of garlic goodness! The first time I came here, was at the suggestion of my sister visiting from out of town. I’m glad she found this place and I’ve been back a couple times. I’ve come Sunday to watch some football, eat some pizza and drink mimosas! Not sure if it’s every day, but on Sunday from 11 – 4 mimosa buckets are $ 12 and champagne bucket is $ 10. They give enough OJ with the mimosa bucket to last at least two more bottles ~ my kind of place! Bench seating inside, nice little patio if you want to eat outside. Plenty of tv’s to catch the game on. Teeny tiny parking lot.

Beers? 5 Stars ALLTHEWAY! Chronic Amber and their blondes are fantastic! Pizza? Good. Nice flavor and crust is tasty. Thicker than my preference but still yum. My fav? The Carlsbad. Wings? Wednesday is WINGSWEDNESDAY! 45 cents each! Great price but inconsistent. More times than not, the skin is a bit rubbery and should be fried or broiled a bit longer but flavor is good. Staff? Fantastic. They’re like your College Dorm mates. Super chill and to the point.

One of my favorite places to go when I am in Ocean Beach. Every time we go there the place is always busy and everyone is having a good time. Even though it is busy we always manage to get a spot outside to sit and people watch. The pizza is always tasty and the cheese they use is out of this world! They have a great selection of beer to choose from. They are pet friendly. They always have rocking music playing. What more do you want? Pizza Port in OB is the best!

We were in the area and I let the little guy Unilocal up a place to eat, naturally he chose pizza. It was really crowded when we got there, maybe because of the rain or maybe because people in OB love communal style dining. Who knows. We went up to the food only line to place an order because I wasn’t drinking. Yeah, you read that right. I don’t drink all the time, geez. At first I thought it was something to do with the acoustics in the building, it was incredibly loud. After we sat down with our drinks at the only spot left at one of the long tables, I soon discovered what the issue was. Most of the sound could be attributed to one obnoxious guy in a backwards ball cap. I guess someone forgot to tell him he wasn’t at the game. It was crowded so it took a while for our order to come up. Unfortunately they ran out of ice. They never managed to get more before we left. I’m not sure what happened with that. I didn’t really want to stick around longer than necessary due to the noise. My son did really enjoy the pizza though. He ordered for us: half cheese, half pepperoni. He also ate most of it too. The science behind his choice process went something like this: it’s on Bacon St, mama! Let’s go there! Yep, future Unilocaler in the making. The service was good. When we ordered and when I picked up, they were very friendly. They also came around the tables and cleaned up after other diners. It seems like a fairly organized ordering process. There are three lines. One for beer orders, one for beer and food orders, and one for food only orders. They also have a small outdoor patio in the front.

Rude ass management. I came here with some coworkers for lunch. My coworker and I got the same thing, we ordered the specialty pizza slice of the day and that day it was topped with refried beans, cheddar and jalapeños. We both took the first bite of our pizza and it was extremely salty. We both decided to ask for a different slice because finishing that whole slice of salt was not possible. I RARELY ever return my food but it was so salty that I did this time. We walked to the cashier and asked for different slices of the same pizza that we hoped they could make less salty. She asked the guy making the pizza in the back and said she can only offer us pepperoni or cheese to replace it. The pepperoni and cheese pizza cost less than the specialty slice we had paid and she did not offer to refund us the difference. We asked her if we could order a small sized specialty pizza(costs ~$ 10) and said that we can pay for the price difference because we wanted something more hearty than just plain pepperoni or cheese pizza. We saw her walk to the guy making the pizza to ask him and he said no. She came back and told us she can’t do that and if we wanted a specialty pizza we would have to order a whole new one and forfeit the money that we already paid for our old slices. So we ended up with the pepperoni slices but we had paid the higher price of a specialty pizza for them. Fricken rude to treat your customers like that. I have been here several times but I won’t be coming back. They don’t deserve our business.
