All I can say is ‘frickin’ YUM!’
My fiancé was flying out early, that night we stayed locally, the hotel recommended this place as one 2 places to eat. I swear the yummy smells lead me there without specific directions. The service was incredible, the waiter (should’ve gotten his name) was good with refills and recommendations. The bruschetta is out of this world — they should can and sell the topping — the chicken parm, margarita pizza, tiramisu — all fabulous. AND reasonably priced. A definite jewel, filed away for future use and recommendations for locals and tourists alike. I only wish I lived closer!

I absolutely love this place!!! They are always consistant!!! I have yet to find a pizza place that tops Pizza Bella! Me & my fiancé come all the time & we always order the Works pizza & it is delicious. The customer service alone is definitely worth 5 stars. Lou & Andrew (the 2 we’ve mainly interacted with) are always friendly & attentive!

While my wife and I were enjoying the sights and sounds of Old Town, we walked past Pizza Bella and were drawn in by the overwhelming smell of garlic and pizza. On a whim, we decided to try it out– boy were we satisfied!
We were going to try some pasta dishes that all sounded great but ended up splitting a medium pizza that was awarded the title of «Best Pizza in America»: the Sigma Chi. Topped with fresh Spring vegetables, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon, this pizza was way out of my comfort zone and I LOVED it.
At reasonable pricing and even after offering a military discount, my wife and I were very pleased with our experience. The ONLY complaint I have is that it did take a good while to get our pizza, but since it’s baked fresh, what do you expect?! It’s worth the wait for sure!

Took 9 people in for dinner on a weekday night. They easily accommodated all of us. Food came out quick, was high quality, and didn’t break the bank — even with some booze on the check. Very pleased with the experience all around!

I wanted to write this a few days ago! Had a giant pizza deliveried to my salon, so the pizza was too big for two woman but the pizza was diffidently the BEST in SD!!! We ordered a pesto, sun dried, chicken, and garlic… We wanted spinach but for to say it! Even though it still is the best pizza! FYI I’m not a big pizza person, but it definitely reminds me of Italy, minus all the extra toppings. Delicious!!! Will be ordering again or even going there to try their pasta!!! Now I love pasta! If it’s as amazing as their pizza! Thank you for an amazing pizza pie!!!

We tried the cheesy garlic bread and a giant half barbecue chicken half all meat pizza. The garlic bread was delicious and by the time our pizza came, there was absolutely no way we were going to finish that huge pizza. Both halves of the pizza were really good, my favorite was the barbecue chicken though. If you’re a thin crust pizza fan, you might not like this pizza as this is easily the thickest, breadiest pizza I have ever had (think Costco pizza but even breadier).

We are in town for a soccer tournament and had our team holiday dinner here last night. Andrew was helpful every step of the way and was able to accomodate our group of 50 in the courtyard area. We ordered caesar salad, penne alfredo with chicken and a variety of giant pizzas. Food was fantastic and we had plenty for a group our size. The staff was awesome! I highly recommend Pizza Bella!

I really like this place. It’s in old town San Diego. I like the feel of the place. While it’s not fancy, it’s a little more than casual. It’s just comfortable, clean, and inviting. I got the personal pizza. I didn’t finish it in one sitting, though. It’s a good portion. It tasted very good. I look forward to going back again to try something new.
BTW, the service was also very good.

I placed an order over the phone for pick up and was told my order would be ready in 15 – 20 minutes. I wasn’t too familiar with the area so, I got there in about 25 minutes. I waited for about 5 minutes to be helped, but they seemed to be short handed. I paid, and was told my order would be ready any minute. About 5 minutes later my order was ready, which was about 35 minutes from the time I called and placed the order. They were pretty busy so I didn’t take it personal, but if I’m told that my order would be ready in 20 minutes I don’t expect to wait 35 minutes.
Aside from the wait time, the pizza was amazing! I ordered the vegetarian pizza and substituted the olives for spinach, probably one of the best veggie pizzas I have had.
Although I didn’t stay to enjoy my meal, the ambiance seemed great! I will probably stop by next time I’m in San Diego.

Have been wanting to check this place out for a while and we finally got the chance tonight. I had the calzone, my kids had pizza and my wife had the minestrone soup.
The calzone was flipping amazing!!! Probably the best calzone I’ve ever had…
The draw back was the service. Our waiter was super nice but pretty much checked out after we got the food. I had to wait 20 – 30 minutes for the check. I’m super laid back but to wait that long is pretty ridiculous.
Food is awesome, service is subpar!

A nice restaurant, by all means. We were seated in the back yard, which was cosy enough. Our expectations were high, after all they were boasting that they had America’s best pizza. Well. Mine weren’t. It was good, but quite plain, to be honest. The environment in the back yard was very nice and relaxing. The service was good, no worries, but being a European it doesn’t always feel right to be presented with the bill before we had a chance to order a desert. All in all, OK, but that’s it.

I was eager to try this place after reading all of the positive reviews, but my pizza fell short in that department. I ordered the vegetarian pizza and there was essentially no tomato sauce on it, or flavor, and it was covered in jalapenos (I subbed for olives). There was nothing special about it consequently. I had one of the best pizzas of my life in Albuquerque New Mexico of all places! Better luck elsewhere next time I guess.

Ok we rolled up to this pizza place to eat and wow walking in the staff was friendly. It has a cool atmosphere we were quickly seated. Ordered the works pizza it was delicious. Great flavor nice crunch. The staff even walked up and asked how was the pizza. This is a must do if your craving pizza come on In.

Wow, amazing food.
So we decided since we’re staying in Old Town to get delivery. Found Pizza Bella and decided to give it a try.
A medium pepperoni pizza, a small salad, and a tortellini alfredo with chicken. The tortellini was our favorite by far, but the pizza was good as well.
The pasta first! The tortellini had a great spice to it, not too stuffed with cheese and a nice white sauce that complemented that spices on the tortellini. The chicken was a good addition as well, although not completely necessary as it was 2.95 extra.
I liked the pizza, but I’m a thick crust type of gal so I’m a bit biased. :) I enjoyed the dough, it was nice, fluffy and thick. My favorite! If you’re more of a thin crust fan you may not enjoy it as much.
Overall a good delivery experience. Total was 40 dollars for 3 people including delivery and tip. We were happy customers!
