I came in for chow mein to go and it took them more than 15 min to have it ready. So bad on speed.

I’m super disappointed! The only good thing here was the fried food-and even then they are nearly tasteless and accompanied with awful sauces. The chow mien was so over sauced that the noodles are a goopy, sugary mess. The fried rice was sans seasoning and the chicken is disgusting! Fat in each gooey price! Cannot tell if it is supposed to be fried in batter or not. This is absolutely not quality, fresh, healthy food! I’m annoyed I dropped $ 30 in this place! And I’m sitting here wondering how This place survived by making Panda Express look good?!?

Great healthy food offered. However, the noise from the preparation area is deafening!

I’ll be honest with you. I don’t tend to choose these types of places to eat mainly because of its over-commercialized product. Definitely not authentic by any means. Places like this really don’t help public perception of Chinese culture or cuisine. Panda Express, PF Changs, Pei Wei, or whatever Asian-fusion corporation chain you can recognize… I personally don’t mean to support them. However, if we simply take it for what it is and be fine with it, all that matters is purchasing a kind of meal or snack and being satisfied by it. But what I will say is that the prices actually seem reasonable, and food is made to order(as mentioned by Brittany G from 3÷29÷16). What I ended up ordering(Thai Peanut Chicken Salad) was actually A-OK, as my rating suggests. Not horrible to warrant a 1-star review, not fantastic to warrant a 5-star review. I was satisfied. This place could even receive 4-stars for so many reasons, like cleanliness, good fast service, and efficiency. But hey, never say never. Who knows? I might return someday for another go at it, and it might be good enough for 4 stars. There’s never a shortage of parking around this location. It’s just getting there that might require a few extra moments of navigating and driving. Most cars tend to crowd up the entrance lining up at the drive-thru for their prime-time In-N-Out cravings, so you might need to find another entrance around the block. If this is what you’re into, then you’ll be fine dining(from) here. Not my cup of tea, but I’ll give them credit for being a solid choice for food. Nothing horrible, but nothing fantastic.

Food is not bad. If you have a lot of time on your hands at lunch, it would be OK. Plan on 20 minutes before your food gets to your table.

Great food. However slow as hell. Every time I come here it’s a 20 minute wait to get my order. I never understand why they only have one cook in the back no matter how busy it gets.

I work in the mission valley neighborhood and decided to take a friend for lunch using the free entrée coupon from pick up stix. We have a half hour lunch break and showed up at 11am expecting to get prompt service. The entire staff was preoccupied fulfilling a large 3rd party online delivery service order. Such that none of the walk in customers were getting ANY service. After waiting 10 minutes at the counter it was obvious our lunch break was going to be over before it had begun, we walked out hungry. Seems to me if a business is going to cater to large orders perhaps they should man or allocate hours such that regular walk ins don’t get left hanging around hungry. Figure it out Pickupstix! Can’t comment on the food, didn’t have any, but dang it smelled good from where I was waiting.

If you haven’t been to pick up stix before, its pretty comparable to panda express except they make the food to order here. For that reason, I think pick up is fresher and overall better tasting. I’ve been to several locations and haven’t had any negative experiences yet. The food has always been up to standard and very good. My favorite is the house special chicken. If you like that sweet and savory taste, you’ll love it! The prices are reasonable and if you sign up for their texts, you’ll get a buy one get one free coupon every few months which is when I normally go. I just got food for 2 for less than $ 12. Not bad! The customer service is friendly and they get your food to you pretty quickly. Usually about ten minutes depending on how busy they are. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m craving some americanized Chinese food!

So dissappointed! I ordered delivery through Eat24… after an hour of waiting for the food, I got a call from some guy saying the delivery guy delivered my $ 100 dinner for 6 to someone else. They said they would make it up to me somehow and would expedite things. Another 53 minutes later, the food was delivered COLD. The wontons and things that were usually crispy, were soggy and mush. Who to blame? Noone wants to own up and take responsibility for the waste of my $ 100. I am so disappointed. I perused all the asian food menu’s and finally chose Pick Up Stix because I know the food is always fresh and good… Well, jokes on me I guess!!! If you are hiring a delivery service, or Unilocal24 hires the service, whether it is the fault of the person who bagged the food and took it from its warmer, or the delivery service not keeping it in a warm place, ULTIMATELY, Pick up Stix is the company that is selling the food that should be the ones insuring that the food CANACTUALLYBEDELIVEREDHOT!!! I entered this establishment through a side door and went straight to the counter to order. It was only when I finished and turned around that I noticed the restaurant area had not been cleaned in quite some time. The staff working consisted of what looked like two cooks one person at the counter and another person that had just walked by and enter a backroom. The drink station was filthy a lot of the tables have not been wiped down or cleaned and still had remnants of food dishes dirty napkins etc. even the floor under the tables had not been swept in a long time chunks of food on the ground overall just pretty disgusting. Definitely won’t be back.

Really affordable and tasty meals that are served quick. Recommend arriving before the lunch rush at noon so you can be in and out within 30 minutes. The location is really clean and the service was A+.

Positive: once the food came out, it was great. Great lunch combo value. Negatives: They clearly need to turn up their A/C. Patrons including myself were sweating. It wasn’t that busy but I sat waiting for my food for over 20 minutes. Went back up and asked the cashier girl how long it would be. She said she didn’t know and asked my name. I don’t think she even took it, but I told her. Then she needed my # they gave me and said let me check. 3 – 4 minutes later a different woman brought out the food and set it down in front of me and said«Enjoy.» She set it down so quickly the lid for the soy sauce container popped off and leaked on my napkins. She was gone before I could even ask for another. She could def use some customer service training. It looked like they were doing some large catering order, which is apparently more important than people in the restaurant.

This is a busy little parking lot, lemme tell you. It was either El Pollo Loco or Pick Up Stix. Since I was eating Chinese the whole week, I decided to keep with the theme. The folks there are really friendly and didn’t mind answering the numerous amount of questions I had. I had never been to(or heard) of a Pick Up Stix, so I had to find out what it was about. Almost everything looked good on the menu, but I was definitely in the mood for something I wouldn’t normally get at a Chinese restaurant. I ordered the Thai coconut chicken curry with fried rice and six cream cheese wontons. The rice was really good and I found myself eating it all before even touching my curry. While the portion was super small, the curry had a lovely orange colour and the flavour was nice. Lots of lemongrass makes Urs a happy girl. ^_^ The rice did a good job of filling me up, so I didn’t mind that the curry was lacking in size too much. I treated the wontons like dessert and gobbled them up. They weren’t amazing and I didn’t think they were worth the price, but they were okay. Would I visit again? Yes. I signed up for their little rewards program and received a coupon for free cream cheese wontons. Oh joy. lol

wow. San Diego was humid and 83 degrees outside and this location was 85 degrees inside. We took food order togo. Management might want to to talk to corporate about local access to temperature gauge. not all areas need 80 degrees inside their location. food was delicious like always and fresh.

Excellent prompt service with a good selection of Chinese dishes that are delicious. We shared vegetable egg rolls, a «crispy chicken» entrée with brown rice and the house fried rice. We received our take-out order after a brief wait. It included plates, utensils, sweet-sour dipping sauce and two fortune cookies. One read«A short stranger will soon enter your life with blessings to share» which sounds too much like Twin Peaks for comfort. The second read«Someone is looking up to you. Don’t let that person down.» Short strangers look up to people so maybe it is the corollary to the first fortune cookie. Regardless, we enjoyed our take home lunch and easily have enough left-overs for a second meal. Total cost: $ 19.98. I am a fan of this place, right up there with Rubio’s. You will not be disappointed.

This place feels a lot like Panda except it’s lighter. The sauces feel a lot lighter which makes the meal feel significantly less fattening. My dad and I came here and ordered the Mongolian beef, honey chicken, and sweet & sour chicken. The honey and sweet & sour tasted very similar to each other and honestly very similar to many other places we’ve ordered these items. They were good, not great. The Mongolian beef, however, was probably the best we’ve ever had. It was wonderful. Definitely recommend ordering it if you come here. The onions served with it were perfect and made a great accent to an already great dish. We’d come back here just for this beef and to try some other options.

The mongolian beef was tasty – even though it was very sweet – and I liked the green onions and white onions in the stir fry. The bourbon chicken was like a grilled chicken with terriyaki sauce. I had a choice of brown or white rice. Service was slow – not very busy but it took a while for my food to be ready. The food came in «to go containers» as well as paper plates and utensils.
