Pizza was really good but I was a little disappointed that they charged extra for another garlic sauce when I ordered a large pizza. Also tried the cookie pie dish dessert and it was very good. Decided to go for pick-up rather than delivery because I was just a few blocks away anyways

The USO at the airport put out a call for food donations to feed our soldier travelling home during the holidays. Many of these people will be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan right after. The folks at this Papa John’s bent over backward to make this happen and cut a deal to maximize the amount of food that could be delivered. Horrible absolutely despicable driver who delivered my pizza last night. I didn’t give him any tip I had no change. And he went off saying«I expected a fcking Tip you fckng DICK!!» I was in shock very dissapointed. Wouldnt recommend anybody coming here after that. Totally ruined my night.

I had a relatively painless experience ordering over the phone. I even had to add an order on 15 minutes after calling and they had no problems doing that. Phone service was friendly and the delivery came on time. Can’t complain about anything really.

Today I order a simple pepperoni pizza using the app. After 2hs waiting I call Papa Johns to know what happened and they said the delivery guy was in my condo looking for my address. Papa Johns’ have my phone, email and address so Why they didn’t call me??? I called them and they said the delivery person needed my unit number, so i gave them and the attendant told me he was on the way as he was inside the condo already, I went outside and I didn’t find the delivery guy, as he didnt show up, I cancelled my pizza and now I am waiting the cancellation email to be sure that I will not be charged. I’m still hungry!!!

I have always had exceptional experiences with Papa! But today was by far the worst customer service i have ever had! We wanted to order some pizzas for work since most of us spent the whole holiday weekend working long shifts, but we accidently placed the wrong order online. We wanted to get more pies and there happened to be a great deal going on 5 pies for $ 50.00. So i immediately called to cancel the online order and place the larger order instead and pay the difference. The guy on the Papa Johns side of the phone sounded frantic when he answered i explained what had happened and he tells me in a nervous panic that i would have to call back in five minutes to talk to his supervisor because they were«swamped». I explained how that wasn’t going to be possible because i had to clock in and wont have my phone on me and he said«im sorry your just going to have to wait!» I called back was on hold for 20 min the new guy that answered says«sorry i just got here and i dont know whats going on, let me see, hold for another 7 min and he gets on to say«oh it looks like your pizzas are already in the works, so i cant cancel» i was beyond annoyed at the fact that i told him i had immediately called after the first order and at the end he said i was already billed so there was nothing he could do! Never ever ordering from this location again! Worst rude, and horribly trained employees i have ever come in contact with ever! I would rather eat air then deal with these people again!

Possibly the worst experience I have ever had with ordering 1 pizza. First off after an hour and a half of waiting for my pizza to be delivered I called to see what the status was. They then told me if I still wanted my pizza delivered that it would still take some time. I was also charged twice for the pizzas which I never received. I will never ever order again from papa johns.

I love papa johns pizza! BUT… We’ve had the worst luck with actually getting our pizza! A few months ago my boyfriend and I ordered a pizza. About an hour and a half before they closed. After an hour of not receiving it, I called to check on it. They said they didn’t have any record of us ordering it! So I reordered it and it never came. I called again and they were closed. So I called the next day and was told I was given a credit. I called tonight at 7:30 to redeem that credit I was told that I was supposed to be sent out a coupon, but the manager said she’d honor it anyway,(that’s why 2 stars instead of 1). At 8:30 it still hadn’t arrived. I called, and after repeating my address 5 times the manager realized the address in the computer was wrong.(I felt like she sounded irritated, like I purposely gave her the wrong address) finally at 9:30 our pizza arrived, with no acknowledgement or apology for the ridiculous timing. I love papa johns and will order again, but I hope in the future my pizza is delivered in a timely fashion, and if there is any mistakes I’m not treated like I’m trying to score free pizzas!

I have no option but to order here as this is the closest pizza place to my house and sometimes I don’t have the energy to drive as I am super hungry. So, pizza is OK but what sucks is their CUSTOMERSERVICE. Well it does not exists. Overtime I walk in they look at me as if I am a trouble for them. All the employees are always on phone and most of the time it is not relating to business. They don’t want to answer any specific questions and they don’t even want to smile or greet you. I always feel pathetic but the worst was when last night I ordered an extra large pizza and asked for pepper. The guy gave me 4 small packs and because I love pepper I asked for a few more. In a very rude tone he said that he cannot give me extra pepper and if I want more I will have to pay for it. WOW !!! This guys name is Collins and he was also on phone(not on business call) when I walked in and I think because I was wasting a lot of his time asking for extra pepper he got really pissed. I felt really bad because I am a regular but now I am never going to this place. Papa Johns need to employee people who really like their customers. This place don’t need customers for sure. All employees work here without any passion or respect. If you want to go here next time just leave your self respect at home because no one cares. Hope it helps in your decision making !!!

We called and ordered two large specially pizza this weekend. It took them 94 minutes to deliver our pizza The pizza was so cold that the cheese was already coagulated on the pizza. We had to micro wave a fresh pizza for the four of us. I called twice and the girl that answered the phone could tell us on either phone call when the pizza would be here. She just kept telling us how busy it was. I felt like she wanted to get off the phone quickly because of how busy they were. I wrote letter to the corporate office with my complaint. Of course I received a form letter stating that the manager from the point Loma location would call me. Well… Apparently the manager is too busy to call me. «Go figure» Horrible pizza experience. When you have friends over for pizza it is suppose to be a fun night. Well it turned out that the cold pizza and bad service was the topic of the evening. Save yourself the irritation and don’t use their delivery. The 5 of us will not use this company again. «done with papa johns“‘… Their customer service in situations like this is nonexistent.

this is my go to pizza place and I love the way this pizza taste, but I got terrible customer service this last time. I got told over the phone to «figure it out». Then the delivery time was changed to 70 – 80 min. That’s crazy. Will be looking for other pizza delivery places in the future.

So Papa John’s isn’t really a destination. It’s who you call when you’re too tired to go out or too lazy to cook. Or you’re busy and you barely have time to eat — this is a service that will bring you food so you don’t have to worry about it. The pizza itself? Probably one step above DiGiorno/Tombstone/Totino’s. But we usually add extras to it anyway. Sorta like Top Ramen — if you just HAVE to have it you don’t eat it like it is straight out of the package — boiled ramen and MSG — you add your own stuff to it unless you’re REALLY down and out. The pizza can sometimes be a little on the salty side — especially if you add the Papa John’s spice mix flavor packets. But for convenience — delivery to the neighborhoods around the Midway Towne Center mall — this place rocks. You can login online and pay everything including the tip so you won’t have awkward moments trying to find some bills when the driver shows up. I judge the state of the economy using the delivery drivers as indicators — if most of the guys bringing you pizza seem a bit too old to be doing that and look like they used to be insurance salesmen, the economy still sucks. Oh yeah — you can even request that they draw something on the pizza box inner cover and show their artistic side with a magic marker. One day I’ll open a gallery showcasing such art and I’ll have Papa John’s and two buck chuck at the opening night reception. If you need to pick up the pizza yourself, it’s in the western end of the Midway Towne Center. Lotsa parking as it’s in the big mall. Open till 11pm. As always, your mileage may vary.

Cynthia has bad customer service. I came in with my sister to get one of those really yummy cookies(reason you didn’t get just 1 star) and she was standing at the register and ignored us. She obviously felt her conversation was more important than generating revenue. Then after telling us how much it cost, she went back to her conversation and I was standing there trying to give her my money while she just didn’t respond. Then after telling us it would take 15 minutes, Mark(reason for the third star) told us it would actually only take six seconds. Anywho you guys really need to work on your customer service cause it’s severely lacking.

Ordered a large pizza with jalapeño, bacon and pepperoni. Waited 50 minutes to get pizza(only 3 minute drive from my home). Opened the box and found a cold pizza that had pepperoni and cheese. There was no jalapeños and I couldn’t even see bacon. I called to let them know of the mistake. The manager Hugh picked up the phone and told me he personally made the pizza and put jalapeños on it. I told him I could personally send him a picture that shows there is none. He was defensive and basically telling me that I was wrong. He then told me that they can remake the pizza and send it back but would have to take the original pizza from us. He kept repeating that they would pick up the original pizza. Of course I don’t want the damn pizza that wasn’t right and took 45 minutes. He was rude and condescending so I told him to forget about it… I then drove to his store and dropped it off. Confronted him and told him not to talk that way to his customers. To be honest the $ 5 little Caesar hot and ready would be warmer than the pizza I received. I will never order from here again. The guy that delivered was real nice and gave me back the tip. I gave him a buck back just because he was nice. Payton Manning would have been disappointed in this…

I give Papa John’s pizza a 3 stars for their pizza quality which is good but nothing special… but the service at this location is outstanding — 5 stars. That’s why it averages out to a 4 star in my book. The manager at this location was super nice and accommodating for our large office order and the staff was nice and helpful. We had a large order of 6 extra large pizzas that needed to be ready at 11:15 even though the online ordering system only lets you put in noon but they were able to make it happen without a hitch. Great clean location with good service and well-trained staff.
