Old Town Ice Cream

Tucked away in the El Tapatio (?) restaurant square, this ice cream shop feels like it’s been here forever. Old wooden floors, old fashioned menu board, prices pretty decent at $ 2.49 for a kids cup, $ 2.99 for a single cup and $ 3.75 for a double cup.
There are about 16 flavors available and taste was ok. Did have a moment of hesitation though because a lot of the options had nuts (almonds, pecans, peanut butter) and they only used one scooper for all orders.
We had a child in the group with a peanut allergy so that raised red flags.
Still, this shop is seems to be in a good spot as your wind down your visit of Old Town SD. Buy a scoop, sit in the courtyard and listen to the whimsical tones from the musicians that typically play on weekends.

Very good ice cream. Nice place to sit outside and listen to the musicians. Recommend whilst in Old Town.
