Best. Skate shop. Ever. Erin was great! Spent time with me and my girlfriend and assessed what we needed. Perfect customer service. Extremely knowledgeable about the merch and very attentive to our needs as customers. Can’t recommend this shop more! Will definitely return to get more stuff. Plus they had a mini ramp in the back!

Being an out of towner I couldn’t wish for better customer service! Ryan answered all of my million questions about his products and then some. Skate shops arnt like that where I’m from. Anything u want or need they got it, with good prices on many many brands. Bought a gravity deck some zealous bearings and some zombie free ride slide gloves (for 30 $ at home in Dallas gloves are like 60 $). Then got a free t-​shirt and some stickers these guys rock!!!

Really great selection of boards, wheels, customizations, and excellent service! I couldn’t have picked a better skate shop. Ryan was really patient and helpful while I picked my 2^nd mini cruiser. (Which was also very affordable compared to other places IMO) I don’t generally write long Unilocal reviews but this place deserves praise – I’ll def be back for another board in the near future ;)

I placed an order online with muir skate, was some minor issue with the order they immediately emailed me back (pretty sure they were closed at the time) straightened out the problem and they were nice enough to give me a ton of free stuff, just because of the tiny issue. My kids and their skater friends love this place. The service is very low key but they are actual skaters who help your kids decide what to get and they really try to sell them what they need, not just the highest priced items.

Brought my 16 year old skater grandson. Yes, I’m old. Lol. The girl that works there an my grandson speak the same language.

Bought my son a board here. Staff was super-​friendly, asked and answered lots of questions, and seemed stoked just to be selling a kid a board. Price was great too.

I’ve known the shop since their inception as a tiny shop at Muir college in UCSD, and it’s pretty amazing to see how the shop has blown up into a titan in theb industry.
What’s more astounding is that the quality of service has gotten even better. Muir maintains the small shop level of service with a big shop’s resources.

I was in the San Diego area on vacation and decided to make an unscheduled trip to the shop the other day to just check it out. Wow, what a great longboard shop! The staff was friendly and allowed me to freely peruse the warehouse area to check out what deck would fit my needs. After 45 minutes I narrowed it down and boy was I happy I had the opportunity to wander around this huge selection. If you are ever in the area I would really recommend a trip to this shop. Thanks guys.

This place is legit! First, I just want to mention that I rarely write reviews, but the exceptional customer service compelled me to do so. After ordering a complete, I was called by a rep. Who informed me that the bottom of the board had a scratch on the graphic. He offered to either set me up with a new board or just send me the one I originally ordered with 20 bucks. I’ve never experienced this kind of customer service before and I appreciated it enough to come on here and write this. Thank you Muirskate!

This place is bad-​ass! Coming from a skate company owner, that should mean a lot! Staff is incredibly knowledgable, and nice. They even let me «test skate» a few boards. Not only was I impressed by the whole store, I even bought a skate at retail price. Kudos guys, this is how its done.

Arrived quickly, package was small but there was a hand drawn «Spongebob Skatepants» on the outside of the envelope which was totally dope since the order was a gift and the recipient coincidently loves spongbob. There were a few awesome stickers added for free as well.

The lady who helped me out was super helpful. She let me know that the wheels and bearing decisions I had in mind are just a waste of money. I appreciate when a business doesn’t try to rip you off. I’m not going to name what brands we discussed, but just ask the people there if you aren’t too sure. The warehouse entrance is around the back. Just park in that parking lot in front and you can walk around the back. There is no Muir Skate sign, but you can tell when you walk into the back and they just have stacks of wheels and boards and buckets of longboarding things. I didn’t get a chance to look at everything, but they pretty much have everything — from wheel spacers to a whole lot of different wheels to slide gloves. And of course, they have a wide selection of boards. They don’t list prices up front though, but it’s basically the prices they have online.
The lady that helped me hooked me up with free spacers — which I didn’t even know I needed — with my bearings. I just installed them (Magic Bearings) and the standard carving bushings, and they are smooth and silent.

Definitely the best longboard shop in all of SD.
Finding the warehouse is tricky but its worth the hunt (took me 10 minutes to find it when it was right in front of me all along)
