Si esperabas un plato griego tradicional no es lo que obtendrás, aunque la comida es buena. Cuentan con una pequeña carta de vinos griegos. El servicio es bueno sin que raye en lo excepcional.

We had a group of 9 people at Meze and ordered the $ 29 group meal. It was a good buy — tons of food. It all was well cooked and tasted fresh. I didn’t thing the hummus or pita bread was great, but it was passable. The chicken, kebobs, salad, spanakopita, etc… were very good. Everyone loved the cocktails — I had the Drop It Like It’s Hot which was delicious. I got a big thumbs up from everyone in the group.

Came here straight from the airport with my friends after arriving to San Diego and it did not disappoint. It had a good selection of beer and food. Definitely order ¾ apps if your in a group. Everything had great taste and it was fresh. Service was great too

This place is a gem. On the suggestion from the bartender at our hotel, my colleagues and I walked the short distance to Meze for dinner. We were definitely overwhelmed by the amazing service from the moment we walked in. Andrew, our server, was amazing. He immediately caught onto our case of the giggles and indulged us in our desire to get a bunch of little things to pick and linger over for a few hours. I can’t pinpoint what it is about him, exactly, but I wish that every server was like him. The food was just as good as the service. We started with the flaming cheese, which was incredible, followed by one of the best grilled octopus tentacles I’ve ever had. Andrew suggested a special — a braised lamb shank — and it was melt in your mouth delicious. We also got a mezze platter, and there was spanikopita, falafel and dolmas aplenty. No complaints from us. In short, I would say if you find yourself in San Diego and are craving Greek-ish food, you must go here. xoxo lcf

The portions are Oompa Loompa sized! I’m a grown ass woman and I expect to not be hungry after plunking down $ 40 for food! My $ 40 got me one measly thin gritty pita cut into even smaller slivers, a couple tiny pieces of octopus(as my mom would say, «not enough to fill the gaps between my teeth»!), and a surprisingly large dessert. Would not come back here again for all the baklava in Greece!

Wasn’t sure what to expect from«Greek fusion» but was quite pleasantly surprised. Looked kinda trendy and not Greek at all. Went with a huge group of 20 but they accommodated us at two tables next to each other. Also have family style ordering if u have minimum of 4 at different levels and amounts of food. We got the Ulysses which was 36 per person. Jennifer was our server who was super friendly, attentive, patient with such a huge group. We asked for recommendations for wine and she brought us samples of the three so we could choose. The food was excellent! The baba ganoush and hummus and tzatziki yummy. Pita thin and chewy. Salad fresh and seasoned well not overdressed and drowning in oil. Then saganaki so hot and delicious and not overly salty like I’ve had at other places with nice tang. Calamari soft and not overcooked and spicy accompanying sauce delish. Lamb chops so yummy and cooked well not dry, had filet mignon cooked perfect med rare since they ran outta salmon. Chicken was ignored bc full by then. Rice was yummy and flavorful and veggies. The best part — their homemade hot sauce. Tangy, spicy, herbaceous — they sell it by the bottle. Wine was dry dunno what it was but only 45 bucks for bottle. I was really happy to have eaten here. I was too full to eat the baclava at the end.

We had another amazing dining experience at Meze last night. My hubby and I decided on a late night dinner after watching a fabulous play. I made a reservation on OpenTable and was seated immediately as we entered the restaurant. There were so many items to choose from on the menu my hubby and I had a difficult time on whether we should have tapas or two full meals. We decided on meze burger and the gyro plate. Oh my goodness the burger was amazing. What a perfect blend of lamb and beef bursting with flavor. The burger with large however it was tender and moist. My gyro plate was the best I have ever eaten. After a couple of bites I asked my husband to try it. He asked me what are you eating I said the gyro plate he said no that is not what a gyro taste like. When the waitress came by I had to ask her what was different she said it was not regular pressed gyro meat, this was pure meat. Wow The meat was lean and tender perfectly seasoned with spices and the vegetables were grilled to perfection. Every bite was pure goodness dancing in my mouth. Since the plate with large I asked for a to go box. I figured this would be tomorrow’s breakfast or brunch. However on our way back to our car we ran into a homeless person who stated he was hungry. My husband immediately gave him the bag of leftovers and then apologized to me for giving away my meal. At that point I looked at my husband and said never apologize for giving food to a person in need.
