I have been to this particular location on numerous occasions. More than once have i been offered a card for a Unilocal review. Not only do i feel that is an unnecessary step for your employees but an annoyance for your guests. When your staff truly deserves a Unilocal review then they will Unilocal your establishment regardless. However i am here to Unilocal about a consistant employee i have had the pleasure of seeing almost every time i have come to this location. Shaughnessy was incredible you have a true asset in her. She is a rockstar. Even when your packed she is smilling and seems to handle the stress with ease. You can’t teach someone that she’s a natural.

Some of the best service I’ve had from this style of establishment. Sarita and the rest of the employees went out of their way to ensure every need was taken care of, not to mention the food was excellent.

Great food and great staff! I got the gyros plate and it was perfect. Also, the place is very clean. Danna was very helpful!

My husband and two kids frequently come to Luna Grill for the great tasting and healthy food and awesome service! The salads are generously sized and the chicken is always moist and tender. My kids love both the chicken and the gyros options and with the rice and carrots, it’s much healthier than the usual mac + cheese and nuggets options offered by most other casual restaurants.

1) THE FOOD — Reliable, tasty, healthy and fresh! I feel good about my family eating this food!
2) THE SERVICE — This team is so well trained. They are polite, accommodating and efficient. Inevitably one of the kids will drop their carrots on the ground or need more rice… the staff is always quick to bring whatever we need and often doesn’t charge us for the little extras here and there. We visited on Saturday and Kamille was a STAR, getting us whatever we needed and being sweet the kids. We love her!
3) THE PATIO — It’s clean, covered and even heated in the winter. Yes, you’re sitting in a parking lot but you really don’t notice it because it’s such a pleasant environment.
4) THE VALUE — This food and service could stand up to many higher-​end sit down places but their prices really deliver tons of value.

FALAFEL WRAP: I switch between the multigrain wrap & the pita bread since you have an option to choose and I definitely prefer the pita bread over the multigrain wrap. I found the multigrain wrap to be really hard & dry. The pita bread on the other hand is nice, warm, and fluffy. I got this with a side salad instead of fries as well as with the dressing on the side. I prefer dressing on the side because last time I got a side salad the dressing over powered all the veggies.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: They are really friendly! One of the workers saw my friend & I eyeing a corner table and right when he was finished doing what he had to do, he cleaned it for us & called us over. Obviously that’s his job but it was nice that he acknowledged that we wanted that specific table and went to clean that before the others.
Overall, I recommend giving this place a try. There’s nothing too special compared to other Mediterranean/​Greek spots but this is definitely a spot you should check out at least once! The parking is super spacious btw.

VERY good chicken wrap. Lots of freshly grilled chicken and very flavorful. Ask for extra Taziki sauce.
Did not like the dressing for the house salad but added some of the salad to the wrap which made the wrap even better.
Stuffed grape leaves were bad. Very squishy inside and tough leaves. Won’t get those again.

My Wife and I eat at this location on a regular basis and we are extremely pleased with the service and quality of this establishment.
Shawnesee (I probably misspelled that) was an extreme help over this past weekend as we treated some guests from out of town with a total of 2 babies in tow
Anyone craving a Mediterranean meal will find this place a welcomed convenience.

My mom and I went to Luna Grill to grab a quick bite after arriving in San Diego. The place had a nice interior and the cashier was very helpful with ordering. We split an order of grape leaves and each got our own chicken plate. The entrees were a good portion and the chicken tasted very fresh. My mom was able to order a glass of wine with her meal and I ordered the pomegranate lemonade, which was refreshing. Overall we really liked this restaurant, I would recommend it.

Food still tastes good but portions on to go orders are such a rip off! Probably won’t be coming here again for that reason. It’s about a third less food than what they used to serve. Way overpriced for what it is. I can spend half the amount at harvest market and get a feast! Such a shame because I used to really like the place. Everything seems so corporate; portioned, measured and weighed. Blah

The first time I’ve tried Luna Grill was at the location in Irvine. Ever since that visit, I’ve been telling people how great Luna Grill is. When I found out that there’s another location near UCSD, I was so eager to try. I ordered the chicken kabob plate and omg it’s so good! The chicken is very juicy and flavored, and I love the salad and pita bread too. However, my main complaint would be the price. My plate was $ 11. That’s pretty pricey. But oh well, the food here is very fresh and healthy.
The most interesting part was when I looked up at the ceiling and saw utensils dangling from the lamps LOL super creative! It’s a good thing that they only have spoons and forks hanging from it instead of knives. I would’ve been scared about getting stabbed hahah
Even though this is an order first, get seated, and then they bring you the food place, the workers still came over and asked about our meal and if we needed anything. Super nice!

Good setting, good food, but a little bit too expensive to go on a continual basis.
Luna Grills have been popping up all over San Diego recently. Like the other locations, this one is well-​decorated and very clean. The food is solid and consistent, but I wish the serving sizes would be slightly larger given their prices.
Most meals will cost in the $ 10-​$ 15 range, which is a little more than I’d like to pay for a casual lunch.

We absolutely love and adore this location. Hands down– Wendy and her staff take good care of the place and customers. I’m super picky bc I eat tons of Persian food and know my Kabobs! Grilled and juicy to perfection
Wendy greets you with a smile. I’m not sure if she is the manager or owner but her infectious smile radiates throughout the entire place !

I liked their food
But I am very disappointed
I ordered chicken and beef kabob plate and it suppose serve with grilled tomato
And that is why I order the plate
But when I get home open the plate no tomato
I called them right away
They said forgot to put in and sorry
They did not offer any the other way to get my tomato
Oh, well anyway I can not go back
But they did not treat customer’s complain right for sure

Service is great and so is the food. The patio is nice on a sunny San Diego day. The flat cut chicken was so good… Definitely recommend coming here with family.

Yum! This place doesn’t make me feel heavy and lethargic after eating like most other places do.
Recommendation: Gyro wrap
My total was around $ 10 for a gyro wrap. It came with the option of one side: fries or a salad. The bread was either whole grain or pita– I loved how they had this option.
I chose a gyro wrap with whole grain bread and then fries for the side (I just couldn’t resist because I usually shove some French fries into my wrap hahahhaha). The food wasn’t oily like a lot of the other places I’ve been to, and the food came out pretty quickly! The only thing I wasn’t as thrilled about was the French fries– I like mine to be crunchy/​crispy, and though they gave a very generous portion, they were all really soft, too :(
The interior was black, white, and red, and the overall design of the restaurant was really different and impressive (there were forks and spoons hanging from the chandeliers). There’s also outdoor seating!
The food itself was a 3.5, but the service was really spectacular. The man who took my order was really patient and kind as I asked him questions, and the other workers were really attentive as well, dropping by occasionally to see if I was doing alright.
Parking was easy, as there is a huge lot! I’d definitely come back again :) and I’ll be sure to try the little desserts they have (cupcakes and baklava)

The last time I was here, was probably the best tasting food I’ve had from here. Normally when I come in, the Flatcut chicken is always dry and the rice tastes. Not normal. But this last time. On point!!!
As for customer service. I feel like they could use a little upgrade.

I was in the mood for a gyro and decided to try Luna Grill again. I’m glad I did because the food was wonderful. We had:
Chicken kabob — succulent and flavorful with a fresh salad… great flavor profile
Gyros — tasty and abundant
Falafel — perfectly cooked with a wonderful flavor
Hummus — I could eat a bucket of this. I chose the spicy which added another layer of flavor
I’m hooked and will be back again.

I have been to several locations but I think this one is pretty nice. The outdoor seating was large and we were able to find a table with no problem. I got the ground sirloin in the pita with greek salad for a dollar more. Also got the falafal appetizer. The pita was huge and the salad was decent size. I think the price was worth what i got.
You order ahead at the counter and then they give you a number for your table and bring the food to you. The service was good and they didn’t charge me extra for extra sauce or dressing. The food was delicious. The falafal was cooked perfectly and the ground sirloin was juicy. There was so much meat i had to take some out of my pita and eat it separately with my salad. Will come again.

Came here for lunch a few days ago. Place has a spacious outside seating area. Great for enjoying a nice day in Murica’s finest city. I like that they have a tarp covering the perimeter of the patio in case it gets windy, but it’s clear so you can still see outside.
Our server was nice, but after bringing our food to the table she never checked on us to see if everything was okay. I think they may have changed shifts (there was a new cashier), so I won’t hold it against her. I understand «quitting time» and wanting to go home after a long day at work.
The food was pretty good. I ordered the signature mahi mahi plate, it came with rice, salad, and some pita bread. The mahi was seasoned well, flaky, tender, and juicy… pretty good. Both of the people in my group ordered the gyro quesadilla one with salad and one with fries. It was a little different, but pretty good. Salad and rice were fresh.
I’d like to come back and try the cornish hen or lamb kabobs.
