Best one around. Beer on tap too! Salsa bar has fresh cut pico de gallo. Other reviewers have complained about food quality but have been going to this place almost every week for at least 7 years and never had a problem with the quality of the food.

Been in the neighborhood since 2011 and this place has really gone down hill. Have had several recent orders with cold meat. How does this happen??? Few days ago they screwed up an order of bean and cheese burrito by putting a handful of shredded lettuce in the burrito… WTF !?! I’m done with this place.

First started out. Good food. Now they cook way too high and burn the meat in the tacos and the product they turn out isn’t that good. Will make the drive to Yesenias in Carmel mtn ranch to get real authentic Mexican food.

Called to place an order Tuesday 4⁄12 and the girl who answered had me on hold for more than 10 minutes and I could hear her on the background laughing and joking. I like this place but I guess I’m not eating there tonight

Food is good, friendly service. I had gotten a bean and cheese burrito and when I got home, the burrito was cold. I don’t live that far away from the Resturant in order to get cold that fast. The menudo had a funky taste to it and the beef tacos were okay. Nothing too special.

The first time I ate at this place, I was in love. The Monster California Burritos had a good meat/fries/guac/sour cream ratio(EDIT: I’ve been told by some that Primos never had guac or sour cream in their Cali Burritos, if that’s the case then my point still stands that the burritos somehow got a lot drier for some reason), and the Surf and Turf Burritos were my favorite. These were my most consistent orders, though sometimes I would try the Carne Asada fries or the Monster Nachos. If I had written this review a year ago, I would give it 3 or 4 stars. However, something changed. The Burritos are more dry, and the meat’s quality has definitely gotten worse. It’s a shame really.

My wife and I stopped in to get a late dinner as we were out shopping, she had the American burrito and I had the rolled tacos. The burrito was all beans very little meat. My tacos were just guacamole and cheese no lettuce or tomatoes, and the tacos were all burnt. I think this will be the last time we will be going there, over priced and not good food

Ordered a california burrito with chicken. Quantity was little, not filling; guess you get what you pay for. Looks like a beaten down place. Worth a late night hustle only given the proximity.

My Lovie, Rowe R., & his roommate, Erik P., just loves getting their fix on breakfast burritos here & swing over to Starbucks for coffee. Whether it’s to cure a hangover or it’ll be one of those long days of fighting zombies on the Xbox. Either way the food is great here with whatever you order. Also, they put a sign front & center at the cashier that they DOSERVECOFFEETOO! So you can get your caffeine fix here too instead of swinging over next door to Starbucks. They’ve always served coffee too but hey, let’s remind ya with signs all over the counter now. Haha but who can resist Starbucks?

let’s do an honest review in POV simplified. Pros: Clean, plenty of TVs, salsa bar has great choices, menu is full of choices including buffalo chipotle fries and other fusion like entrees, many of which is rising as a normal thing and is not unique anymore. Monster burritos seem to be the better choice in terms of portion and value and taste. Cons: line does not get served fast enough, portions for variety of foods including«monster Carne Asada fries» is typically half portions of competing restaurants. Prices are and I am guestimating, 20% higher than competing restaraunts. «supreme taquitos» 5 for 6.99 at minimal supreme-ness. California burritos at 6.59 with Carne, with no guoc, sourcream, dry. like come on, you are a burrito shop in San diego, competing with hundreds of stores and chains, in 2015, with a population that recognizes good food. last con, is service. woman at counter always seems to be great at taking money and cashiering, when food is ready the food sits until she returns from the kitchen and says, «ready» without eye contact or recognition or use of numbers, I unaware of the fact that food on the table is, indeed my food. I understand it is 9:00pm and I am the only order up and it seems common sense that it new is mine, but I am a dumb San diegen preoccupied with my phone to cure boredom while waiting. sorry. all of the above mentioned pros and cons are CONSISTENT. Everything in this world MUST be CONSISTENT, to be great. I understand people have opinions, some positive some negative, but if you CONSISTENTLYSUCK, this false hope«hey, maybe they had a long busy day or a rush, maybe I got a bad moment, it’s all good, it will be better next time because I am an optimistic person!» is gone. my rolled tacos sucked. my Carne Asada fries at 9.00 was for a child. my burritos were good. long story short. whatever. not like this opinion matters LOL.

I don’t know what happened. This place used to be pretty good. Not sure if it is under new management, new cooks, etc. My last three visits: 1) Ordered a California burrito with carnitas instead of carne asada(of which I have done in the past). Got home to a California burrito with carne asada. 2) Ordered a regular monster burrito. The meat in the burrito was cold. 3) Ordered a chili relleno burrito. The chili and the cheese inside the burrito was both cold. I’m really trying to stay a customer but it makes it hard when they strike out three times in a row.

Unimpressed. Seemed expensive for just a cheese quesadilla. And it took a long time — people who ordered after me got theirs earlier(cheese quesadilla is pretty simple imo). No napkins in the bag and not a lot of cheese. It didn’t go anywhere close to the edges.

Best taco shop I’ve tried in north county. 619 burrito is crazy good. Had chile relleno burrito today. Unlike others I’ve had which are mostly beans, this one had zero beans, great chili relleno in side and the whole thing smothered with enchilada sauce. Best one I’ve had. The chipotle bacon fries are ridiculously good too. The best/worst part is this place is right down the street from my house. I’m gonna need bigger pants.

This place is great. Their fish tacos are to die for. They have a ‘fish burrito’ which is basically three fish tacos in a tortilla. its glorious. I wish they stayed open a little later though, they close ~10pm

We used to like this place. That is saying a lot, especially when we have been spoiled by the taco shops down south. Ever since we moved up to 4S Ranch/Del Sur, we wanted to find a taco shop more convenient. In the beginning, we thought this place was comparable to the ones we were used to down in San Diego(taste, not prices). After a handful of years, the quality has been dwindling along with their service. It seems to have gotten worse this past year. We have continued to go here, each time hoping that it will be better than the last. We were lying to ourselves! Yesterday, we ordered beef tacos with sour cream, taking advantage of their Taco Tuesday menu. You get 2 tacos for $ 4. We thought it was a deal. We even didn’t mind adding sour cream to our order. When we opened up the containers, we noticed that the sour cream was just a small dollop and they charged $ 0.75 extra on each taco. RIDICULOUS! The shell seemed like they just deep fried some old tortillas and stuffed it with a small amount of shredded beef, a massive amount of lettuce, and a sprinkle of cheese. TOTALRIP-OFF! The salsa, both red and green, were tasteless and did not enhance the tacos one bit. We recommend that you do NOT waste your time, hard-earned money, or your valuable taste buds to this place!

I don’t know why I keep giving this place a chance — it is simply out of convenience. So gross — no flavor to any of their food and their prices are ridiculous. $ 8 for a tiny side of rice, side of beans and a drink.

Hot carrots and free chips if you dine in! The only problem I have is this location is hard to get in to as parking is scarce in the area. The food is delicious but a bit pricey compared to other taco shops within the area. I do enjoy their carne Asada burritos and always ask for more hot sauce to douse my food with. The hot carrots and chips are worth the dine in, plus make sure to get refills on the drink!

Los Primos, what happened? Your food used to be quite tasty. Can’t complain on the portion sizes but the food just isn’t quite up to par. Stopped in today for some post-soccer grub and was highly disappointed with my fish burrito. It was basically a flour tortilla filled with big chunks of cabbage and white sauce and something I really hope was fish. Other plates we had were the chicken enchilada and chili rellano and both people were unimpressed. Aside from the mediocre food, the place is filthy. Tables had salsa spilled on them and forget about the floors. Guess I’m spending my taco craving money at Yesenias in PQ now.

I was craving a breakfast burrito and this place delivered. I was craving meat and eggs post workout. We walked in and decided to split a breakfast burrito. It was either the steak and eggs or the machaca. I asked the lady at the register which one is better and she said that I couldn’t go wrong with either since they both were popular. I wanted to try something new, so opted to try the machaca burrito and asked for it to be cut in half so we could split it($ 5.50). When we got the burrito, it also came with potatoes, cheese and beans. Dang, forgot to order it without the beans. There wasn’t much meat in the burrito which was really disappointing. The restaurant is very nice and clean. Ample parking and the customer service is friendly. The salsa bar was fresh and replenished quickly. The red sauce was actually pretty tasty on the burrito.
