Great and convenient coffee shop. I love how strong the coffee and the flavor is! Delicious! I usually get a latte and can never go wrong. Highly recommend this place, especially if you are looking for something different than your standard commercial coffee shops.

I love this place. It’s right by Mesa College and it’s my go to for acai bowls in between class. The girls working this little stand are always so friendly and cute! Coffee is great too!

I gotta write another review just because I love their acai bowls so much. I’ve tried acai bowls all over the city and Lion Coffee always gets it right. Unlike other shops I’ve been too, they add the perfect amount of fruit to acai ratio. Their fruit is also so fresh! And the granola that it’s topped with isn’t too crunchy, which I like. One thing I can say is that they can be a little pricey for their size. But overall, delicious!

I was in the area and hoped to grab acai from Rockies, but they were closed(they open at 8:00am). It was 6:30am and thanks to Unilocal I was able to find Lion Coffee. It’s located in the same small plaza as Up2You Café and Homestyle Hawaiian. I’ve actually seen this place, but never checked it out. Nice to now know that they serve a lot more than just coffee. It wasn’t crowded at all, so parking was not an issue. When businesses in this plaza open later in the morning, however, parking can be difficult to find. The young woman who took my order was impressively welcoming and friendly for 6:30 in the morning. I placed my order: Acai Bowl and an Everything Bagel(toasted with cream cheese). She was super efficient in whipping everything up. I received my food a lot sooner than expected. Both my bagel and acai bowl were pretty good for a place I thought only served coffee. Bagel was warm, perfectly toasted with ample cream cheesy. Acai bowl, topped with fresh fruit and tasty granola, was delish. My only complaint is for the price, I expected the portion to be better. I guess I’m just spoiled by Rockies. The price for an acai bowl between Rockies and this place are comparable. At Rockies, the portion appears to be nearly double! Still a cool little joint. I’ll have to try the coffee one of these days when I need a pick me up. 4⁄5 — Food(Taste) 5⁄5 — Service 4⁄5 — Cleanliness 2.5 /5 — Value(Acai specifically)

Came here for the first time for acai bowls with my friend. Super tasty, fresh fruit, the acai was a bit frozen but it was really yummy! Would definitely return!

Why haven’t I come here sooner??? My God. I came around ten to grab some coffee before heading to the library. I had always seen this place but I’m not really a coffee or espresso person so I never thought to stop by. BUT, I have to start on a paper. And that requires coffee. Always. No exceptions. I usually just go to «FiveBucks» and get a generic frappucino or iced coffee. I had no clue that there was an entire world of coffee and espresso that is deliciously crafted just waiting for me. Thank you for welcoming me into this beautiful world Lion Coffee. Thank you. I got the white aloha mocha? I may have mixed that name up. Either way, this iced coffee is superb. Just sweet enough. So much depth in the flavor. A++++ And don’t get me started on the customer service. Damn it these people were so nice helpful and friendly. I didn’t get the girl at the register’s name. But I should have. She was so sweet. Ready and willing to give recommendations, asked me about my day. I was ready to be her best friend. The other young lady in the back was super kind too. She made my drink quickly and then hand delivered it to me. Just amazing. Wonderful experience. I will be back for sure.

The Aloha White Mocha was absolutely delicious! A hint of coconut with white chocolate mocha and espresso is the perfect morning or afternoon pick me up! The ladies working always have the Hawaiian laid back attitudes and were incredibly sweet to my dog offering him treats and belly rubs! I’m a loyal customer for 2 years now and plan to be in the future!

This review is just for their acai bowl. They only have one, large, size. By no means is it large, however it is expensive like one. Paid a litle over $ 8 with tax and tip. It was good, but nothing amazing/worth $ 8.

Really good coffee and not only would I rather support a small local business over starbucks, the coffee is better too! Starbucks is all about super dark roasts and overpowering boldness, if you want to really taste something much smoother, more balanced and complex try the 24k gold kona. It’s probably the best coffee I’ve had. This place has 5 star coffee but they seem to run out of flavor shots and ingrediants an awful lot. I know the place is small but stock up a bit better!

I came here for the second time today and I had another good experience. The first time, the barista was very sweet and friendly. She gave me suggestions and advice on the type of drink I was looking for and the mocha frappa chilla she made for me was delicious and strong(she gave me a little extra coffee after I told her how I was tired/studying!). My second experience was ok. The barista wasn’t as friendly as the first one but she wasn’t bad or anything. I guess I just had really high expectations from the first time. Today I got the vanilla mac iced coffee and it was brewed nice and strong, although it did have a bit of a bitter aftertaste. However, it was low acid like they advertised and I can definitely feel the caffeine still coursing through my veins.

Acai or pitaya bowl. Made deciding really fast and easy. Pitaya bowl — portion was small for the price. Note: «large» is the only size it comes in. Good consistency; not too watery. POG(Pineapple orange guava) smoothie — refreshing, fresh(?), and tart. Delicious. Summary: Acai/pitaya bowl was average in taste and subpar in pricing. May come back for a smoothie if in the area… before 3PM

I love that it’s outside. The cold brew blended«frapps» are very tasty. You get the same natural sweetness of cold brew, but it comes accompanied with soothing blended ice. My son had a strawberry banana smoothie and it was rather delicious as well. I have just one complaint: the person who helped me was a tad on the rude side. Nothing major outside of being completely unresponsive to basic politeness(«Thank you,» «have a good day,» etc) it’s not major, but it was enough to decrease an overall positive experience.

I hesitate to give 5 stars right off the bat but the cold brew was cold, strong, and dark. Just how I like my coffees(in the summer). I even had to add some almond milk which they had in a pitcher on their accessory bar… Both things… UNHEARDOF! Despite being out of our original order of the cold brew Kona, the iced vanilla mac(adamia nut) and the boyfriend’s iced coco(nut) were great and the barista kindly gave us two full punch cards to redeem during a not-too-distant future visit.

The bowls here are on the pricier side came here to get a pitaya bowl while my daughter was at swim practice. Cute little place, line can get long because there’s about 1 – 2 workers. The worker was very sweet. I really like the pitaya bowl here! It’s not sweet and just perfect. I love how it’s blended and doesn’t get watery right away. they give a perfect amount of fruit and granola in your bowl. I will have to come back here to grab an acai bowl

NEWFAVORITECOFFEESPOT! I ordered the toasted coconut iced coffee and it was life changing! I am a fan of strong coffees that aren’t too sweet and this was so perfect. The girl that works there during the days is always super friendly and kind. Definitely becoming a regular.

I love the coffee here. It’s definitely worth a detour when I’m in the area, sort of-ish. It’s a small, no-frills coffee coffee stand. There’s seating outside to enjoy your breakfast burrito or acai bowl. Service is always excellent. Parking in front can be tight, depending on time of day, but it’s a big lot, just search around. I’m a fan of the Vanilla Mac in the iced coffee version. I don’t drink sweet drinks, but they seem to have quite a range of them here. Bonus: they have shaved ice, my son is a fan. Also you can buy their coffee to take home and brew, it’s really good and I’ve bought it for other people who’ve all enjoyed it.

Props to the owner for providing coffee based from the islands. What sounds better than coconut flavored coffee? I got a large Kahuna Coconut Frappé and it was pretty good. The small sizes are about $ 4.35 and large sizes are about $ 4.75. Not much of a price difference so you might as well buy the large! They also have Hawaiian smoothies, Hawaiian islands tea, Hawaiian shaved ice, bowls burritos, bagels, hot brewed lion coffee, iced lion coffee, Ghirardelli hot chocolate, and espresso beverages. Would definitely come back and try the acai bowls.

I love that this place is up the street from my school(Mesa College)! I have tried their acai bowl, Café Mocha and Aloha White Mocha. All tasted amazing, especially the acai bowl. It had just the right consistency, it wasn’t watery or too cold, it was just right! I also like their Café Mocha, the espresso is strong but the Ghirardelli chocolate helps balance it out. Definitely coming back to try their other drink flavors and the pitaya bowl!

For a little shack it serves it’s purpose: bringing LION coffee to the mainland. :) I’ve tried a few drinks here and I’ve liked every one of them. I can recommend three in particular: * 24-Karat 100% Kona –Cold Pressed — light and delicious without anything added to it. * Hawaiian smoothie«Acai North Shore» — with raspberry, strawberry, and wild berry. * Frappa Chilla«Kahuna Coconut»
