I absolutely adore Katrina. Not only does she give a great haircut, but she’s really honest and doesn’t take advantage. I never feel like I’m being «pushed» products. Getting an appointment can be take a little time, but it’s totally worth it. I’ve been going to her for a couple of years upon a recommendation of a friend. As a bonus, she’s really fun to talk to.

Katrina has ben cutting my hair for over 15 years, beginning with her career in Boston and since she has been in San Diego. Though I still live in Massachusetts, I always make sure to visit her when I’m in San Diego.
She was the first stylist to suggest I go short and I was the envy of my friends when in my 20s. Everyone wanted to know who cut my hair. Now, in my late 30s, I worry about coloring my grays. I went to Katrina a couple weeks ago for a color correction and my hair has never had so much depth of color and felt so soft. I don’t know what she did, but I feel so beautiful and confident about my color. I had also grown my hair out pretty long during my pregnancy and was a little nervous when she started cutting and layering my hair, but now that I am back home with little time to blowdry, I’ve found my hair dries naturally gorgeous! The cut is perfect!
When I arrived for my appointment she was just finishing up with another client who had her 2 kids with her. They seemed perfectly happy relaxing in her salon, as Katrina chatted up the mother she also included the kids in conversation. At the end of the mother’s haircut, the kids were able to choose a treat from a big jar of candy on the way out. I felt very comfortable having my newborn with me.
Her salon is also very conveniently located across the 8 from the Westfield Mission Valley Mall. I was able to get my hair done and then get some Christmas shopping accomplished before heading back to my hotel.
Thank you, Katrina, for another great haircut and now a beautiful color. I only hope I can come close to replicating what you did for me at home!

Katrina is fantastic. I feel like I have had a good hair day ever since I started going to her. The color always comes out rich and vibrant, and the cut is just right for my hair. The money is well spent, and every appointment has been a personal treat to myself. I look forward to it, for the good conversation and excellent service I know I can count on. Katrina is one of the best colorists and stylists I’ve been to. After moving back to San Diego, I was struggling to find a good match and came across her at a previous location in Kensington. I was ecstatic to find someone that not only could handle my bleaching and short hair, but was also extremely friendly, warm and fun to talk to.
I have now been going to her for nearly four years, following her to her great new location in Mission Valley. She works with me on my hair, adapts to styles I show her that I like and is consistently improving herself and biz — investing in high-​end tools, new products and learning new techniques.
I always look forward to going to see her, as I not only walk away looking soooo much better, but we always have a great time chatting. She also sells Pureology products, which I love and can be hard to find sometimes.
She also works well with a lot of different types of clients. I’ve referred a few friends of different ages and very different hair types and styles to her and they’ve all loved her work.
Finally, I love her new location in Mission Valley — it’s very convenient, plenty of parking and she has her own personal space, which gives a professional, semi-​private feel which is really cool.

Katrina has been cutting and coloring my hair for seven years now and I wouldn’t let anyone else with a pair of scissors near my head. She’s been with me through the transition from long hair to a bob to short hair and has done a fabulous job each step of the way. People stop me all the time asking me who does my hair and I can’t keep enough of her cards in my purse.
She offers competitive prices on cuts, colors, Brazilian blowouts and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. I love the products she uses and sells but never feel pressured to buy anything.
Katrina is also just a lovely woman which is so important when you are spending a couple of hours together. She’s funny, kind and remembers things about your life which just feels good.
Go see her. You’re foolish not to.
