Killer Street Tacos

Killer Street Tacos was the sponsor for the picnic in Balboa Park that fed the attendees of our Horrible Imaginings Film Festival. Not only the food delicious and had all the attendees gushing and running for seconds, but the owners got into the spirit of the moment, talking to filmmakers and attendance members. One of them even served tacos dressed as a zombie! It was PERFECTION! I can’t wait to go there again for some tacos and maybe even some hot wings! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Killer Street Tacos for being great event partners!

Totally gross –San Diego is taco capital and these guys run a disgustingly dirty operation. I have no idea how they are still in business and are not shut down by the health department.

The fish taco LOOKED amazing. But that’s where anything good stops. I’ve never tasted something so bland in my life, water has more flavor. I don’t get it. The smells coming from the set up would lead you to believe that the food would be awesome. What a let down.

I was so appalled at their lack of appropriate food handling, I couldn’t finish my food.
I should NEVER see a food vendor eating, licking his fingers and then immediately flipping tortillas on the grill… No washing station or any sort of sanitary procedures in sight!
One word… DISGUSTING! A week later and I’m still so disturbed by what I witnessed that I feel compelled to let other people know. I really hope the breweries of San Diego that use their services take notice of their lack of food handling skills!

LOVE Killer Tacos ! varied menu and everything I’ve tried on it is delicious ! Beer battered fish tacos — light and fresh !! So good ! Veggie burrito — delicious ! Pollo asada — so tender !!! Lots of choices for toppings and hot sauce/​salsas ! Will deliberately go to the brewery location where these guys are serving ! Killer Tacos makes it a win/​win situation for us local brewery groupies !

After waiting in line for 30 minutes, I was turned away because they were out of meat. But they were getting more so they said to come back.
After waiting in line another 15 minutes, I was turned away AGAIN. Because they were out of everything but fish. (I was trying to get Carne asada street tacos) And they weren’t going to get any more of the other meats (like Carne asada.)
They are the catering for the grand opening of the new Ballast Point Brewery in Miramar and they don’t have enough food to serve the crowd? It wasn’t even 7 yet!
Unprepared. Therefore unprofessional. EXTREMELY dissatisfied… if 0 stars was possible I’d give them 0. If negative stars was possible. I’d give them negative stars.
Hungry and pissed. Not a good combo.

First and foremost. I have DREAMS about their veggie burrito! In fact, I love ALL the vegetarian options they offer! This family-​owned business has the best food and sweetest staff. I have honestly driven to one of the breweries where they were working simply to just get their food! Their prices are extremely reasonable and all their product is fresh and delicious! I LOVE this taco stand, and if you are a fan of going to local craft breweries and you see this stand there, I definitely suggest getting some killer street tacos to go with your beer!

Sadly I cannot give them a good review because I had such a bad experience with them. I can across them at Societe. After working out in the morning and having some great beer I was starving. They were supposed to start serving at 1:00pm but didn’t get set up until after 2:00. Everyone in our party that ordered, they screwed up the order. They forgot at least one item from each order. I felt bad for the girl working there. There food was okay but nothing special. I wonder if we just got them on a bad day.

For all you skeptics out there, I would like to go on the record saying that killer street tacos has the best street tacos in San Diego county and this is coming from a guy that likes to eat good food. I’ve had them at several breweries throughout the county including Ballast Point, Coronado brewing and societe brewing. Keep an eye out for this family Owned hot spot, they’ll send your taste buds for an unforgettable ride.

Really good tacos! Got the 5 for 10 street tacos. Carne asada was really good and the chicken was very good. Was at society brewery so got to have great tacos and great beer!

We were at Hess the other day, and I decided to oder two tacos from this taco stand. I asked what I should try and the guy at the front suggested the chicken, and it was quite a tasty taco… nothing amazing, but a good little taco. I also decided to order a $ 4.00 fish taco, and I will gladly pay decent money for good food, but this was soo bland, and blah that I took 2 bites, and thew it away. I will give these guys a second try, but I will skip the fish next time… I can go to TJ Oyster bar and get 3 for $ 4.50 that are legit.
