I have a love hate relationship with this place. The smoothies are really really good… Sometimes. The inconsistency of this place drives me crazy. I order the same thing every time, but I never know what I’m going to get. Sometimes it’s really smooth and the blueberries are the strongest part and it’s delicious. Sometimes there’s so much spirulina powder I want to throw up. Really?! I don’t want to play roulette when I’m paying $ 8 for a smoothie. Step up your game juice kaboose peeps!

I only come for the juice– the food is boring and bland. Also a great place to get your ginger shot if you are feeling a cold coming on. And it beats spending all morning setting up, breaking down, and cleaning up the juicer after a long juice making session.

So happy I discovered this neighborhood gem — I often visit this place after a long weekend in SD or upon return from a trip/vacation. My go-to order is a juice flight and a pitaya bowl. The regular juices have never let down! Can get pretty busy in there so anticipate a couple minutes’ wait.

Not kid friendly. 2 star only because the food is good. My experience however not so good. I understand the importance of a corporate playlist as of today. Sunday morning I’m with my friends and their 6 yr old. We are all healthy eaters and decided to try something different rather than going to our usual juice spot. Immediately upon entering the store we were offended. Within the first minute of being there I heard the word fuck and bitch 10 too many times, and so did the 6 yr old. My friend and I immediately spoke up obviously offended by the music and both employees just looked at us. We had to make the child sit outside as the volume of the music was so loud there was no way he would not notice the words being said. We almost left had we not been in a hurry for a on the go morning breakfast we would have. I can guarantee we won’t be back. I couldn’t even focus on the menu because I was looking after the child we had to make sit outside. My friend let the employee know that she was upset about the music and all he said was ok. A simple apology was necessary. I will say that the food was good. We ordered 2 organic breakfast burritos and it was one of the healthiest best tasting breakfasts I’ve had. It’s a shame my experience there was so negative because I would probably be a regular as I eat on the go often. I hope the owners do something about the music this place could be popular.

I was excited to see this place had been remodeled but was quickly and sadly let down with the unfriendly service. When I asked about a certain ingredient the guy asked the girl in the back to tell me about it. I couldn’t hear her over the loud music and sadly my bad hearing, she seemed annoyed I was asking any questions. After a few time I told her I couldn’t hear her. She shut the music off to yell at me what the product was and turned her back to me and went back to blaring the music, as though she couldn’t be bothered. What happened to good costumer service? #Worstcustomerservice

Great location since it’s a few stores by my gym. I love that they are gluten-free, organic and environmentally friendly. Food-wise, I wasn’t impressed with the taste on a couple of items I’ve tried so far. The organic breakfast burrito was kind of bland. I had to sprinkle some gluten-free, all natural seasonings I recently bought from an online vendor, to make the flavors of this burrito pop. The quinoa bowl is the size of a large salad which is awesome. The bowl had: quinoa, black beans, diced tomatoes, fresh salsa, lettuce, cabbage, parsley, onions, carrots, and cheese. You can add chicken for additional cost. The ingredients were OK tasting until my tongue touched the avocado spread. The avocado had a creamy jelly like texture with high acidity, and it was very off-putting to me. It did not taste like avocado at all which is one of my favorite ingredients to eat in a salad. In a nutshell, it ruined my tastebuds and I didn’t finish the rest of the bowl. However, their smoothies are incredible using fresh fruits. I love the combination of smoothie profiles they provide. My absolute favorite their protein smoothie called the Energizer. It consists of: fresh banana, fresh carrot juice, fresh apple juice, protein powder and non-fat frozen yogurt. So refreshing and comforting in my stomach after working out. This smoothie is my go-to breakfast after my morning gym sessions(even though there is a jamba juice within short walking distance). Very friendly service and your order comes out pretty quick. It would be nice if they opened earlier than 8am for those that have to work early. Otherwise, they are losing potential early bird customers that would go to Jamba Juice or other coffee shops.

I live in Mission Valley and came out here because a friend told me that this place had good smoothies… Drove all the way out here to find out that they are doors were locked… Apparently, they lock the doors 10 mins before closing. Change your hours on your door and on Unilocal. It’s misleading!

Ordered an acai bowl this morning and after 25 minutes waiting, I asked for a refund because they still hadn’t started my order. The cashier first refused tho give me a refund, then when I asked again, he said he didn’t understand why I would want a refund. He ended up giving me $ 6.75 back even though I paid $ 8.00 and no apology. I’m pretty sure it was the owner too, which is so sad. After I went to chronic smoothies on turquoise for an acai bowl. Even though they were slammed, my order was ready in a few minutes with a smile. That’s how you keep a customer.

I recently found this place and since then I’m going there almost everyday. The plates and sandwiches are super tasty! I always find the place clean and organized, the service use to be really good, except for some girls that don’t really look to your face while you order. Don’t forget to try their Hummus!

Have tried this place twice now, so my review is based off of those experiences only. The first time I ordered the acai bowl, the second the pitaya bowl. Based on taste, the bowls both times were good, not amazing. Both times when I ordered, with a friend, the workers were not invested in conversation, eye contact, or customer service with us. My biggest issue with both of these visits was that I asked for honey after receiving my orders and both times was told that it was an extra cost. Nowhere on the menu under«Additional Toppings» is honey listed for an additional charge. I voiced this the second time to which the worker at the time did not acknowledge that this was factual. So if you’re wanting honey on your bowl, I’d suggesting bringing your own honey bear or packets, or be prepared to pay extra. The wait time between ordering and receiving your order is ridiculous. The first time I stood inside, the second sat outside. Both times, the wait averaged 10 – 12 minutes, despite being the first or second customer in at the time and 2 – 3 workers behind the counter. I really like the concept of a juice bar in this location but hope there can be some improvements to benefit the store and customers.

I have been here a handful of times as I work and live nearby. I keep giving them a second chance b/c their food is good and juices too(however can be pricey). I just can’t get over how fkn rude the staff is. I just placed an order of the phone and the young man gave me such a sarcastic attitude that I’m a bit offended and want to tell him when I get there how he needs to learn customer service and if you don’t like your job, then get a new one. No one is making you stay there. Same with the other experiences I have had going in there. Most of the staff have this attitude like they are better then you. We will see how my experience is after I go in to get my food, but I am ready to call it quits here after this rude ass kid on the phone. I don’t want to pay money to these assholes that work here!

New juice place in the shopping center near my house. I was excited when I heard it was opening because I love acai bowls and they also have plenty of healthy wrap, salad and sandwich options. I came in and got one of their acai bowls. HUGE portions but the flavor was just okay. The toppings included granola, strawberries and bananas. I enjoyed the toppings but the acai mixture didn’t have much flavor. I would like to come back to try their pitaya bowls or one of their wraps. Very convenient location so I will be back!

Get the Acai bowl(only banana and granola is my favorite — Brazilian style) Get a Detox(juice) without celery and extra carrots I go here at least 3 times a week, sometimes every weekday since they opened to get my daily juices. Vitamins for the day. It gets you a better boost than coffee! It used to be another juice place that went out of business and I was afraid I would never get this amazing Acai bowl again. But they have the same Acai bowl. Lucky me. I have never had an Acai bowl like this anywhere else. It took them a while to figure out their system, but now everything works great. All orders are correct and they are super quick. The staff is very friendly(huge difference to the owners before) Make sure you get a belly card. You get a free Acai bowl after 5 or 10 visits. They haven’t really figured it out yet, but anyways. My belly points add up quick and the Acai bowl replaces my lunch :) Thumbs up to this place. The only place I’d ever get my juice from.

This place was once called the big squeeze. The service was better back then, and so was the variety of fruit atop the acai bowls. Sadly, today, I got a bowl with just pineapple and bananas. What happened to the strawberries? And what, blueberries cost extra? And no more added honey drizzled on top of it all. The girl behind the counter looked pissed, like the the work crew the night before didn’t help prep her for her morning shift or something. She gave some unapologetic reply to my questions about the lack of fruit. Sad. So sad.

Good juice but some of the worst customer service I’ve had in a while. I ordered a Green Lemonade, which the disgruntled teenager behind the counter entered as a Green Thing. Fortunately, he was too incompetent to send the order through and one of the three other employees standing around doing nothing double checked and caught his error. While I waited for anyone to start working, a fifth employee stopped in and everyone took a break to complain loudly about their paychecks. To top off my juice, another employee squeezed a lemon and all the seeds into the cup. The lemon juice stayed on the top but the seeds went to the bottom where they could be easily vacuumed up by the straw.

You know, every once in a while, I get a craving for some Albacore Tuna, not often, but when I do, I hope I get some great white tuna. Fortunately, I stopped in the Kaboose and ordered me a Albacore Tuna wrapped in a mild chipotle tortilla wrap and stuffed with fresh spinach and some tomatoes. The wrap came with a hand full of potato chips all in a plastic container( ). The wrap was not heated, but the chipotle wrap was still soft and easy to eat( ). The albacore tuna came well dressed in a tangy and creamy sauce and with plenty of Swiss American cheese( ). The spinach was very fresh and crisp and the added sesame seeds gave the wrap that little edge to make it, that much better than most, not to mention a healthy item as well. The wrap was really good, and I would order it again. They young people who work here I are very hip and down to earth. They also make smoothies, Acai Bowls, and sandwiches. Oh yes, If you like wheat grass shots, they provide those too, in the Oraganic nature, but me, I like the good wrap…

Wow! Great prices, all fresh, nice staff, extremely clean. Super happy that juice kaboose replaced big squeeze. Acai bowl was huge with mango, banana, strawberries and granola. Very yummy! I’ll definitely be by whenever I’m in the area. keep it up!
