Small business with such sweet individuals. Their cakes are good and it’s my favorite place to get fruit basket cake and eclairs! Affordable and just the right amount of sweetness!

I ordered a cake from Jessie’s Bake Shop for my daughter’s birthday a few years ago and she loved it so much, I have to order her birthday cake there every year now! The quality is superb. My daughter raves about the frosting. This Christmas, I have been too busy to bake goodies on my own so I went to Jessie’s Bake Shop so I wouldn’t show up empty handed to a holiday gathering. I bought a beautiful box of 26 assorted cookies and they flew out of the box. Everyone was walking around with a cookie in their mouth at all times until they were gone. So when I needed to bring something to another party, you can guess where I went! I love this place! I highly recommend the chocolate dipped butter cookies, the wreath cookies, and any of the cakes. You can’t go wrong!

Good prices, I got the napoleons, the blueberry tart and a bear cookie. The prices were $ 1.25 per item the lady was nice, they don’t use butter it has a margarine taste the blueberry tart is awful. Napoleon was the best thing.

I used to order the fruit basket cake but have since stopped and gone elsewhere. My mom still orders and I don’t understand why considering the cake is dry and has a slight bitter taste. Isn’t cake supposed to be moist and sweet? She recently ordered for my niece and I figured since I was craving something sweet, I’d take a slice. I didn’t even finish it because it was so dry. Sorry Jessie’s, you were good until your cakes became stale.

The strawberry short cake was good one, but the food color added for specific decoration was so much and so dark that anyone who ate that part of the cake had their teeth got colored. Would suggest to go for this standard cakes.

I love this kind of family owned local bakery! They have yummy samples dished up for you when you come in. My mom and I just walked in wanting some sweets. We surely walked out with two small boxes of goodies! We got the shortbread cookies(plain, chocolate dipped, and chocolate chip), finger cookies, blueberry and chocolate chip scones, apple strudel, caramel puff, mini cheesecake, pecan tart, plus more. For all of that, we only lid $ 12! It’s definitely reasonably priced. If I were buying all of the above in one of the Italian bakeries in NJ/NY, it would have easily been $ 20−30+ I have to say my favorite was the finger cookies and caramel puff! Sooooooooo good! Nomnomnom They were very nice and friendly too, btw.

I’ll start by saying I’m an E. Coast transplant and thus used to wonderful bakeries in most strip malls and city corners. Jessie’s was nothing impressive. Very few selections in the front shop. Looked like they were making a bunch of ordered cakes in the back, which may be their expertise, but don’t go in here thinking you’ll get a great coffee and treat. The best thing was the iced Minion cookies that my kids ordered. Swedish Royal Bakery on Poway Rd is nearby and MUCH better.

Love this place the desserts are great. The real reason I’m writing this review is to thank them and tell other people about the great experience I had working with Jessie’s bakery. We had a wedding on 9÷26÷15. The original bakery that was hired to make our wedding cake was canceled because it came with the venue we were supposed to have our wedding at. The original venue was canceled and therefore the wedding cake as well. On 9÷25÷15 I contacted the bakery and informed them of our situation. The employee said no problem and they can help us get a wedding cake ready for our special day. Not only did Jessie’s bakery come through the cake was beautiful and delicious. Thank u again for saving our special day!!!

I have been going to jessie’s bake shop for years. We moved away to Arizona and I could only think of one place to make our wedding cake since we were getting married in Poway. I found a picture of one I wanted and communicated through emails to jessie and they did a fabulous job. We could not have asked for a better wedding cake all of our guests loved it. Thank you so much

I ordered a birthday cake for my husband’s birthday party — chocolate with banana cream, fishing theme(so they know). The cake was absolutely DRY. If it wasn’t for the banana cream, I would have been eating chocolate bread crumbs. Yes, I know eggs are now expensive, and so is butter. But really, those ingredients are what you need to make a moist cake. I swear it tasted worse than Betty Crocker boxed mixes. I paid over $ 55 and would have been happy to pay more for a richer tasting cake. We’ve been in this shop several times. The single servings in the deli cases are terrible, but the special order cakes have been OK. But after this experience, there is no reason for me to stop by any more. I hope the owners read this review. My phone number is on the order if they care to redeem themselves.

Great bakery and friendliest owners! The baked goods were amazing(love the tuxedo dipped strawberries and fruit tart!!) Plus they have quite a few gluten free options. If you are in the area I definitely recommend stopping and trying them out!

Sorry but this is really disappointing. I have been in 4 different times in the last couple months and these caramel Crème puffs are stale and a couple days old. They now only make them one time every few days and still sell them at full price. Literally every time I have come in they are a day or 2 old. The owner doesn’t seem to care. If you’re going to sell me some day old pastries at least offer them at a discount. I won’t be back.

I LOVETHISPLACE! Came here to pick up some goodies because I was told that it was the BOMB! The owners are super friendly! The mini cheesecakes are absolutely DIVINE! As a matter of fact, everything there was absolutely incredible! My only regret was that I didn’t pick some up before heading back home to Hawaii *le sigh*

My go to bakery for custom cakes. The service is great and design selections are great. They really take the time to make sure you get the cake you really want. The shop has other pastries, tarts and cookies to try out if you just want a small sweet snack.

Don’t go in here expecting a warm chocolate chip cookie. It is not that kind of bakery. All their cookies are shortbread based which to me, is not the comfort variety. They did have a couple of beautifully iced shortbread cookies. Some were marked with a prize that was slightly discounted for bulk orders and some were not. I inquired about a dozen butterfly iced cookies for my daughter and was rudley told there was no bulk discount. What is with service these days??? We got a brownie, 2 chocolate chip shortbread cookies and an éclair. They were all just so-so. Go across the parking lot to See’s Candy instead!

My family’s been going here for years for cakes. Got a chocolate cake and a white cake with fresh fruit. They showed me the cakes to make sure that the spelling was correct. Both were delicious and not too sweet. The cashier was nice enough to help take one of my cakes to my car. They have candles for sale as well.
