Let me tell you. I LOVE the islands. I used to live in Temecula, and I went there all the time. But this place just kind of falls flat. One time I went in here, the host sat us down, and we sat there completely ignored for 25 minutes and ended up just leaving. Like, it was like a Wednesday afternoon, there was hardly anyone in there, and they didn’t have the time for us.

When I went here the experience was less than what I had come to expect at other islands restaurants. While the beer was quite good the burger was altogether disappointing and lacking in a lot of flavor. The onion rings were okay and the service was about the same. We would have to wait for things too long especially the bottomless but never there fries.

What can I say? I love Islands. I seriously think it’s the best chain restaurant you’re gonna find that combines tasty food and good customer service. Generally speaking, Islands doesn’t really vary from restaurant to restaurant. It seems that every single location has the same menu and is operating under a similar management style, not that that’s a bad thing. Sometimes I go Mexican here, but usually I’m down for a burger or chicken sandwich. Both are very tasty and supersede other chains in quality and size. The fries here are especially delicious, like they’re made fresh. If they’re not made fresh then you could have fooled me. Love this place.

Perfectly average spot to get a bite and a beer. You’re getting exactly what you expect from this location. Food is average, and the list of craft beers is more than I’d expect from a location like this. There’s nothing particularly noteworthy about this location, but there’s also no red flags. PROPS: A walkable spot to have a meal and a beer with coworkers during lunch. SLOPS: This Islands shares a parking lot with a CostCo. The parking lot is chaotic during a large portion of the day(and I’m glad I can walk here).

The wait was to long just to get a water. When we order our food, he asked if I wanted something different than fries with my meal. He told me my options of sides I could get, and I choose the Mac n cheese, without telling me it would cost extra. Also my friend order sliders and he asked if she wanted cheese on them, also with out telling us it would cost more. So when we got the bill we were of course shocked. We wouldn’t of gotten Mac n cheese if we new it cost more. Also I asked for no lettuce on my burger and it to be cut. There was lettuce and it wasn’t cut in half.

The service was good but the food, atmosphere and cleanliness was horrible. The food was average. I had soup. $ 5.00 for a small bowl with one chunk of avocado and crumbs of chips on the side. I would be embarrassed to serve it. My moms fries were fulllll of salt it was gross!!! The music was SOOO loud I had to yell to talk to my mom across the table. But the best part of my night was the floor in the rest room was wet and there was a dirty maxi pad on the floor. I don’t think the bathroom had been cleaned all day… I lost my appetite. Common’ islands. I’ve seen better… and had better!

Came here with my coworkers for dinner after work on a friday night. We had a 6pm reservation for a patio table for our group so a couple of us came early to check in. Little did we know, we had to wait an extra 30 – 40 minutes past our reservation time for our table to be ready because we were told it was being occupied when clearly our patio tables were vacant. It was a little upsetting that they weren’t prepared ahead of time for people who had reservations. Knowing it was a friday night they should’ve used the whole restaurant and not just certain areas to seat people. But regardless, the food has been pretty good every time i came here. Their burgers are huge and the fries that come with it are crispy and yummy. I’ve tasted their Hawaiian burger before and their Mavericks burger which are both good. If you like teriyaki sauce and pineapple on your burger go with the Hawaiian. If you like bbq sauce and crisp onions, etc on your burger go with the Mavericks. The service was good on such a busy night. We were always checked up on and had our drinks refilled. Our waiter was nice enough to make one of my co worker’s extra order of fries for free because of our tabling inconvenience as well as the wait for the order of fries to be served. **Tip: I recommend taking advantage of their happy hour menu(monday-friday 4pm-7pm) They have many alcoholic drinks and appetizers at happy hour prices.

The burgers are good and the fries are above average. Order the fries extra crispy if you like them crunchy. They have good lunch deals during the week. The happy hour drink specials are fairly thin as is the happy hour food menu. Happy hour menu has items that aren’t on the regular menu,(ex. chili dog and special nachos). Bar and restaurant have tvs but games are usually only on in the bar. The bar is pretty lively with most of the patrons eating rather than just drinking. Service is always very good in both the restaurant and bar. The restaurant is kid friendly.

We usually head to island once every few months and their turkey burgers never disappoint. They’re nice enough to do my burger lettuce wrap style since I can’t have the bun. My husband always gets the bluenami and orders extra blue cheese crumbles because it’s hit or miss on the amount of cheese they put on the burger. The service at this location has always been excellent. Very friendly and efficient. There have been a few times when it’s just me and my little boys sitting outside and I’ve never felt like they’re forgotten about us.

Happy hour has good deals. Beer selection not as extensive as other places. Our waiter, Shawn, was friendly! The have a nice outdoor patio area for bar seating, great for the summer.

I love Islands! I recommend the chili cheese fries and I also recommend my favorite burger the Hula Burger. I never get anything else when I go there. This location is great on Friday nights. It’s not crowded like feh other locations. The desserts are great and low price. $$ 2.99 for an ice cream sundae. Who can beat that? Their children’s menu has a great selection also.

Have never had an issue with food or service here. Love coming during happy hour from 4 – 7. Have great deals on some food items and drinks. My daughter loves the fries and my wife loves the cheddar fries and the Kaanapali Kobb salad. The service is fantastic and food is the same.

This Islands location should be a go to spot for anyone searching for a cold beverage & solid food. The selection of alcoholic choices are few, but the ones they have are delicious. The food never disappoints and is always brought to you by a friendly employee with a smile. Excellent summer spot!

This is your typical *Islands* restaurant. with it’s Hawaiian theme upon entering and the interior set-up which makes for a fun ambiance of the island beach vibe reminds me a bit of Rainforest Café. The times I’ve been here over the years I’ve gone in for happy hour or lunch and usually post up at the bar. –yummy bottomless fries for days! –beachside sliders are tasty! –great happy hour deals. –friendly bartender servers and host at the front :) –nice beer selection on tap. –the mai tai is strong ;) Cheers! Get your grub on at «Islands”~

We had a quick dinner here on a day trip to San Diego. It was convenient to our local, so we stopped in. The place was pretty empty when we arrived, so the service was attentive. We started with the spinach artichoke dip(only alright). The margaritas are good. My hubs had the chicken bowl and I had the mahi mahi tacos. Neither of us finished our meal because it wasn’t very good. In the end, I wouldn’t recommend this place for those looking for any kind of food other than a burger(which we didn’t have). Not sure why a place called islands only serves burgers. But hey, what are ya gonna do?

Love islands and their many options. They do have burgers, chicken strips, salads and chicken sandwiches & more. I like how they let you chose what kind of burger you want; turkey, veggie and the like. We shared the Maui and also ordered nachos w/sour cream and jalapeños on top. We got the nachos first & our waiter, Shuan, was quick. Even when it came to refilling drinks. The nachos alone filled me up and we split the burger. It was a juicy turkey burger. Not over cooked just right. The guacamole was fresh and the cheese was melted on top. I also love that they play surf/snowboard videos. Makes me want to head to Tahoe right now!

Islands is a pretty big chain, similar to ones like Red Robin. They do a lot of things ok but nothing super great in my opinion. The one exception though is the cheddar fries. I LOVE those. It taste exactly how it sounds. Pair it up with some ranch or blue cheese and its a meal in itself. As far as burgers, there are so many to choose from that nothing really pops into mind. I’ve also had their fish tacos and they’re ok. I would give them a 3 star rating. For anyone that’s ready to indulge in some calories, definitely go for the cheddar fries. It’s got a good mix of that cheddar, starch, and blue cheese all in one. Pretty good! Service at this particular restaurant is pretty good. I’ve never had any issues with them. That’s always a plus!

Service here is always top knotch! We get seated quickly, get our orders quickly and get our food quickly. Servers are always happy and asking if we need anything. Food: Kilauea Burger $ 11.25 — jalapeño & black pepper-crusted burger w/pepper jack cheese, island reds, chipotle aioli, lettuce & tomato One of my favorite burgers! Everything is cooked fresh. If youre an onion lover, you gotta add Islands Reds to every burger! Its basically fried ren onions made perfectly everytime. Hula Burger $ 10.25 — sauteed mushrooms, swiss, lettuce, tomato & mayo I love this burger because its the only one with grilled mushrooms! All burgers come with a choice of house fries. Or you can upgrade to sweet potato fries, onion rings or salad. I can barely eat all my burger and fries everytime i come here. They are huge portions. They also have a full bar! Cheddar Cheese Fries $ 7.25 This is a bomb appetizer but expensive for being house cut fries with seasonings and cheddar cheese on it.
