The smell loured me in. So much Indian food, snacks and groceris to choose from. I could stay in here an hour just looking at everything. The deli had so many different curries and masala cooked up, dessert items too. I had a bowl of the tikki masala which is chix in a almost orange colored curry. So good. She was so kind and let us sample some of the different prepared curries. Eggplant, chix and meat varieties. The staff was so sweet and made sure we had napkins and spoons. If I ever plan an trying to make some Indian food, I know now where to come.

Worst customer service… It was my 3rd time in this store… every time the person who always on register avoiding customers… he left customer and finish his work first… he always takes around 5 mins… I have to wait 5min to purchase without any queue??? And yesterday I compare prices with other store… This store has at least $ 1.00 more than other store in each items. Even quality of some food are worst. I bought one of the indian spices and it was not good… I came here to change/return for spices… the person who was on register told me that I might bought from other store and came here to take refund. Staff is totally unfriendly. Always talking in their language. And yesterday it was worst. They was laughing on my face and talking in their language… never go back to store… and ask my all friends and relatives to not to go there…

Great service, great delicious food. The samosas are sooo good, the garbanzo bean and the nan are really, really, really good.(made fresh to order every time I am here!) I was soo tired today, but drove 30 minutes to this place today so I can stock up on food for a week. Trying to cut down on meat. This place serves vegetarian, tastey food. The globuman? The sweet dessert in syrup is very tastey. I hope they will always be around.

So sad there’s hardly any reviews for this place :( I really like this place because the samosas were so good! I love that they have videos/cd’s along with groceries and hot food all in one store. It reminds me of my first Indian gorcery store experience when I was in college.

This store single-handedly made me like Indian food. :) I had bad experiences in the past(yucky Americanized buffets) and was almost to the point where I was about to give up on ever finding anything authentic and delicious, when the boyfriend(heretofore known as Danny S) introduced me to this market. It doesn’t look like a restaurant, but at the front near the registers you can buy all different kinds of food from chafing dishes… they also had an impressive-looking dessert case, and I’m still wondering why I didn’t get something sweet for later. I am still a newbie at this, so I don’t know the exact names of everything we had, but trust me when I say that everything we ordered was amazing and unlike any Indian food I’d had up to that point. They even had home-made and fresh naan(chewy garlicky Indian bread.) My favorite dish was a spinach and tofu concoction, which was awesome. Cheap prices, I think we ordered 4 different dishes and the total was $ 16 or so… if you haven’t liked Indian food in the past, this place will change your mind.

Can I share a secret with you? I think I was Indian in a past life. No, really. I {heart} Indian food, Indian people, Indian spices, Indian incense, Indian music, Indian movies, Indian sweets… you get the picture. India Food & Grocery, located in the same shopping center as Bombay Bazaar and Ker Little India, is almost the same as its nearby neighbors– only different somehow. IF&G is just like grocery shops in India. You never know what you’ll get from trip to trip. Sometimes they’re sold out of your favorite thing, sometimes they have boat loads. IF&G has all your pre-packaged spices and mixtures, a great selection of teas, packaged Indian chaat(snacks), packs of biscuits(cookies), fragrant incense, bronze Indian god statues, clocks, calendars and an awesome selection of freshly made chaat and Indian sweets. All to the uptempo Bhangra beat of Panjabi MC or some devotional raga. After living in India last year for six months, this place makes me feel like I am home…
