One of my girlfriends and I came for breakfast and Gena was our server. She was super sweet and friendly. Our food came out fairly quick considering how packed it was inside. I had the French toast and it was delicious.

Worst service and food I’ve ever had at an IHOP! Will never return! So bad! Cold, sauces separating, bad service, just awful!

The food and service was horrible. The mozzarella sticks were disgusting. The cheese inside was gross and the marinara served with it looked like red water. I ordered some type of club sandwich that looked reasonably healthy in the menu and when it arrived it was just a greasy unappetizing mess. The french fries were decent though. In addition, our server was inattentive and forgetful. Never again.

I’ve never been disappointed In IHOP before as yesterday I ordered a glass of milk and it turned out to be expired it tasted horrible and worst part is that I had took a big sip. I told the waitress and all she did is bring a glass of water so that ruined my breakfast and day also had nausea and a stomach ache. It was horrible!

I had a great time at this IHOP location in early October 2015. My girlfriend crossed from Mexico and we came for breakfast. There was about a 10 minute wait, but that should be expected on a Sunday morning. I was pleased that a coffee pitcher was left at the table so we could refill our mugs at our leisure. I don’t remember the name of my dish, but it had eggs, toast, bacon and hashbrowns. All the food was delicious. My girlfriend had double blueberry pancakes and from the sample she passed me they were delicious. If you are at the outlets and not interested in the food court, walk over to IHOP and try ‘em out.

Went here to have breakfast with my cousin in the morning. I arrived early and the waitress greeted me and asked if I wanted to wait in the waiting area or go ahead and get a table. I asked to be seated while I wait for my cousin. She asked me if I wanted to order, I declined and told her I would wait for my cousin. I did ask for a glass of OJ though. The OJ was sweet and it wasn’t sour. It did have a little bit of pulp, but that’s the way I like it. There was a large amount of people already seated. My cousin showed up and she ordered the split decision which had French toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon. I ordered the sampler and substituted the ham with 2 pieces of bacon, so I has a total of 4 bacon slices. My order also had over easy eggs, hash browns, and 2 sausages. Despite the large crowd at IHOP, the cooks cranked out our order with blazing speed. The food was cooked well and I have no complaints about the way it was cooked or how it tasted. The only thing they can improve is the size of the pancakes because they were about half the size of Denny’s. I enjoyed our service and I thought the food was good.

I had to updated this review. This review is for the dinner I had tonight. I walk in and there’s hardly anyone here on a Wednesday night. We were greeted by the hostess and got seated at a booth. I originally wanted to order pancakes but changed my mind and wanted something healthy. I order the turkey club sandwich on wheat bread and ordered onion rings with it. It took about 15 minutes for our food to come out. I took a bite out of my sandwich. There were turkey cubes in my sandwich, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese and two strips of bacon. I don’t prefer cubes of turkey. It just fell out as I was taking bites in my sandwich. I’d rather have the slices of turkey. The sandwich was good. I had to eat it with the dill pickle it came with because it was a tad dry. The onion rings were crunchy on the outside while the onions inside were soft. I managed to finish my plate as I washed down my food with iced water. However, the service was lacking after the guy took our order and delivered our food. He never came back to refill our drinks. After we were done eating, I had to call out to the waitress to ask for a box and for our check. I see her calling the guy who was serving us. He was chatting with other coworkers and friends. My daughter and I were ready to leave. I didn’t tip the guy much as our bill was almost $ 40. My husband even told me that kids eat free Monday to Wednesday. After I asked him if they do that, he said we don’t do that. I might have to complain to corporate. Why even put it out there if you don’t participate in this? I was a little upset. I don’t know if I plan on coming back. How does your server ignore you after he’s given your food? We needed refills and he never came back. I’ve gotten better service at other restaurants.

Waiter didn’t give us our check after 10mins, our plates were stacked and waited for him to come by, never did. He seem to have been flirting more with another co worker than working… Plus, it wasn’t even busy… there we’re only 3 other tables… and 2 waiters we just got up and had someone else print us the check instead.(Think it was the manger) Server was Giovanni…

Came here for a random Thursday night dinner with my little mommy and had such a nice relaxing evening. Who would have thought IHOP would come through in such a way?! I’ve clearly been sleeping on IHOP. Our waiter, Giovanni was friendly, but verrry verrry quiet(in my Elmer Fudd voice). At first I thought he didn’t speak English(I think he was Italian) but I think he just may not have been confident in the English he spoke, because he was able to answer all of our questions just fine and softly. So all was well, he was kind and served us well. He informed us that mornings are pretty busy(as expected), but most evenings are quiet like this night. Good to know. It seriously felt like we were in a movie as a couple of the few last people on earth. I’ve heard service is hit or miss here, but we hit a home run this night. I ordered Tilapia with Spinach Alfredo, mashed potatoes & garlic bread and enjoyed it all very much. Even the garlic bread was perfectly toasted with a soft center. I never expect much from chains like this, but they certainly exceeded my expectations. Nice! I’ll be back… at night.

Worst IHOP I’ve ever been to in my life. Not exaggerating. I always come hungry and leave happy, but this time I was just freaking annoyed. It’s a Monday so I figured it wouldn’t be busy, the mall was even pretty dead. We came in around 11AM and waited about 15 minutes before we were seated. When we were finally taken to a table, it was in the most awkward spot ever. Right in the middle of two other tables packed with two large families. So, not only was it super loud but I literally couldn’t pull out my chair and sit because of the no room factor. Luckily one the families left within 10 minutes, so we sorted it out. Anyway, we ordered drinks right away, I had an iced coffee and it tasted nothing like coffee. Honestly it tasted like chocolate milk or Kailua lmao. After we ordered our food, I told my waitress how I didn’t think it tasted right and didn’t like it and she said I had to stick with the vanilla flavoring I chose in the beginning, and couldn’t try the mocha. Okay, cool, I paid $ 3 for a drink I didn’t like. The worst part… we waited for our food for literally 45 minutes, maybe an hour. I thought we were gonna spend lunch in there dude. People around us looked to all be waiting too. I counted 4 tables with just drinks. A table near us even decided to leave without waiting any longer. But what ticked me off was this couple who got there after us, got their food before us. They even paid for their bill and left before we had our food!!! I mean come on. The only upside was how attentive the hostess was. She was better than our waitress to be honest. She checked in on us and mentioned something to the staff about hurrying our order because we were honestly ready to leave. Then she apologized and thanked us for waiting. Still…we won’t be back.

Came here because we just finished shopping at the outlets. I was trying to eat something healthy, I know that’s an oxymoron when I’m talking about eating at IHOP, but I ordered the whole wheat pancakes with bananas. My boyfriend ordered the appetizer sampler and country fried steak. (1) My whole wheat pancakes were just falling apart. Every time I went to cut into the stack of pancakes, the top and bottom of each pancake would come apart. They were very flaky and dry. Not impressed. (2) The sample was OK. Standard sampler that you’ll find at IHOP or Denny’s. Onions rings were good and who isn’t in love with onion rings? (3) Country fried steak. WHATWASTHATTHING?! My boyfriend was cutting into it and it was like this brown with an almost purple hint of color type thing. WEIRD. He was saying he never really noticed before and now that he saw it, he couldn’t help but feel like WTF was he really eating? Service was bad. We had to wait forever for our waters to be refilled, wait, they never got refilled. We had to ask right for more water right before we decided to get up to leave. We were eating around 9:00pm so granted there were maybe 4 other tables seated at the time, not a busy night by any means. Our server passed by our table a couple times between when we finished and when he cleared the plates and when he cleared the plates and when he brought us our check(only after we asked, of course). We wasted 30 minutes — 15 minutes between us sitting there waiting for our dishes to be taken and 15 minutes between when our dishes were taken and when we had to ask for the bill. It was a Thursday night, we weren’t trying to hang out at IHOP. I know it’s just IHOP and I never go expecting service or food to be stellar, but the one near our house is much better and has much better service. Was disappointed in this location.

HORRIBLESERVICE. Came here yesterday on sunday around 2ish. The mall was stupid packed probaly because of all the back to school sales going on, so it was a little hard trying to find parking. Once we get inside the restaurant we weren’t seated right away. We waited in the front for someone, after about 5 min a older mexican lady came out trying to check out 4 older ladies. The older ladies was trying to argue with the cashier about why she had to pay extra for something on her bill, all the while there was a big line forming behind them. After about another 5 min it looked like a manager came out .I’m not sure if its because the way we were standing but I guess it didn’t look like we were next in line to get seated because she greeted another mexican family and tried to seat them first. I quickly pointed out to her that we’d been waiting patiently to get seated. Of course she apolgizerd and sat us. Sat down, and about another 10min go by and not one person came to our table to take our drink orders or let alone greet us. I’m usually really nice and give people the benefit of the doubt, maybe there busy or don’t have enough staff but I clearly saw employees sitting around talking to one another standing not doing anything. I had to get up find the manager that sat us to actually get some type of service. At this point I was mad, irritated and hungry. Didnt even want to eat there, so when a waitress came by to try to assit us I was so over this restaurant. My husband was like no never mind we don’t want to eat here anymore we waited so long we’ll go somewhere else. The waitress didn’t even act like she cared and said ok ill grab your menus. As we were walking out the manager saw us one last time and didnt even apologize or even acknowledge why we were leaving angrily. I have worked a lot of cust. service jobs so I know how to go about doing business right with customers. This IHOP location is the worst I’ve come across thus far. Will never be coming back here. There not even worth one star 8÷7÷2014− So to give an update on this post. When I told corporate about the horrible service, Ray from San Diego Franchise reached out to me and sincerely apologized for the event I was really surprised they responded that quickly. He also offered me and my family a complimentary Meal to give them a second chance. He had great customer service, a shame the location we went to couldn’t provide the same service. But Thanks IHOP for reaching out to us! Well def. be visiting an IHOP in the near future :)

I went there on Saturday despite all the bad reviews this restaurant has and decided to give it a try as it is the only restaurant close to the outlet mall that you can have breakfast! we were a group of 8, 4adults, 4 children and of course the wait wasn’t too long. The service though was horrible. When the server brought us the food, we were missing some items that when asked about it, he said he would bring them. and yes he did but after we were all DONE eating so I asked him for a box to go! The cashiers and the hostess while I was in line to pay, talking about issues with the boyfriend, financial problems, etc you name it… I just couldn’t believe they have no ethic when working at a public place like this. overall the service was not good, but they can improve. The server needs more experience on the menu so the food will be brought at once and not in parts!

Horrible service today! I had 3 waitresses and one hostess serving me today. The food was ok. But the waitresses were rude and inconsiderate. Made me wait forever to order. They had forgotten two items that I ordered and I kept reminding. They finally brought when I was almost done with my breakfast. Then when the bill came, omg, it was messed up and they were charging me extra. When it was fixed and I went to pay my bill, the cashier was $ 4 dollars short on my change. Never again will I go to that ihop. They need a whole new crew including management. Oh and by the way I didn’t get a receipt.

This IHop location is consistently top notch with their friendly and attentive customer service. The staff here takes the time with the customers to make them feel welcome and seemingly genuinely asks about our meal. I’ve always been accustomed to the slow and inattentive service at other Ihops but this location shines.

I think it’s a little bit better than Home Town Buffet. Why did i eat here, if previous comment was what i thought about the place. One reason… I did not have a choice. I had dined few times for my company lunch and boy… the services is slow… you have do pay up front(I don’t know why this bothers me… but if the server is helping you I think they should help you carry the bill to the front and take care of it while I am doing what ever I am doing… maybe this is not good reason but any how. it’s my thought). their eating utencils need to be cleaner… their plates have to be cleaner… it’s just a drag…

Tijuana has some great food and so does San Diego. So why am I eating at IHOP? Well I will make the best of it. The choices of what to eat is spread across three menus. I suppose this is how chain restaurants do «chef specials» and focus sales on key items. Personally I hate all the reading and the deceiving pictures. That said I ordered off the special menu. My choice? Hash brown breaded chicken with eggs and a biscuit in your choice of country gravy or sausage gravy. I couldn’t resist asking the difference. I was told«I think the sausage gravy is a darker color. God bless IHOP. Who knew you could order lunch in your choice of color. I opted for white(actually more of a gray) country gravy. The eggs were warm and actually good. The chicken was so hot from the fryer I had to pause my review. Combining flavorless hash browns and a frozen chicken patty results in a pretty bland entrée. Does that surprise anyone? The biscuit and gray sauce actually was ok. The sauce lacks any zing that you love in country gravy but is actually seasoned more than mid western bland. Combining that with an average biscuit. Not bad really. The server was very pleasant and gave good«friendly style» service. The restaurant was cleaner than I expected. The kitchen was very fast. Overall, I wasn’t expecting much and actually got a little more than I expected.
