I really love that this place is so extremely convenient on my commute, located in the Fashion Valley Transit Center and Trolley Station. Prices no better or worse than the other small businesses in the area for cigarettes, snack foods, pastries, and some sandwiches. Mostly just freezer-packed, microwaved hot items, but if you need something, they’re always there… except on Sundays, even when there are Chargers games going on a few stops down the Green Line. Seems to me like they’re missing out on a lot of business, but to each his own. They also have an espresso machine back there, but they don’t know how to use it, unfortunately. They offer a whole host of different coffee drinks, but I dare not try them for the horrible shrieking milk sounds I’ve heard coming from inside. The man and his wife who run the place are so friendly. They’ll remember you and give better and better service every time they see you. The guy even gave me a heads up the other day because I wasn’t paying attention and my bus almost left without me. It’s super comforting to have random people like that willing to help you out. Three stars feels low for how much I like them, but objectively, coffee and Sundays are a big deal.
