If there was a sixth star I would give it to Hawkins Painting and Woodwork!
I have used Hawkins Painting and Woodwork to paint my house (s) several times over the last 15 years as we have moved or wanted to update colors. For the first 5 years I got multiple bids and discovered that Teds bids were always competitive so I haven’t bothered since. I know that he and his crews are going to show up on time, take great care of our home and that they will finish on time.
Over the years I have referred Hawkins Painting and Woodwork to many neighbors, friends and colleagues. Each one of them has had the same great experience that I have had.
Ted has expanded the painting business with a custom woodworking department which I have used on several occasions. The same passion and integrity that I have grown to expect from Ted I have now found in his woodworking as well. He has built me beautiful bookcases, bathroom cabinetry, and dining buffet. Each piece is architecturally designed and then built and installed by Ted and his crew.
Knowing Ted for so many years, his quality and his integrity, when I read his negative reviews I know that those writers must have brought some baggage with them to the review. I highly recommend Hawkins Painting and Woodwork and offer my highest possible recommendation.

Completely unreliable and unresponsive. After having them out to give me a quote on exterior painting, the business owner offered to give me a written estimate but decided to go on vacation instead. I was told he’d get it to me soon after he returned. It’s been more than a week and he won’t even return my calls. Shameful! A business owner who blows you off and doesn’t have the decency to return a call or email does not deserve my business or yours. Buyer beware, this business does not serve it’s customers.
