I’ve not been into the salon, but I’m weary of dealing with this place. Hairvu is up the street from me, near a friend’s house. While I was waiting for him one morning I noticed the services offered and thought about getting my brows done there since I’d just lost my regular brow lady. Also I like some of the glo mineral makeup and it would have been nice to have a supplier so close to my house. However, my experience OUTSIDE the shop have convinced me I would not be welcome INSIDE. Incident #1: I was parked outside the shop waiting for my friend. An older woman inside the shop came to the front door and locked it. She then spent the remainder of my time there staring out the window at me. This was on election day in a strip mall with a polling place 6 doors down from Hairvu. Incident #2: Again I parked outside the store to wait for my friend. This time the cranky old lady came out of the shop, stood in front of my car and took my photo. This is months after incident #1, btw. She stood 5 feet from my car door and took photos of me, walked into her shop, locked the door and watched my friend come from the nearby apartments and get in my car. Incident #3: Honestly, that this woman hasn’t figured out that I park in front of her shop every 3 weeks for less than 1 minute and drive away with a passenger… either I’m running the world’s most accommodating escort service or I’m a very thorough recon woman casing the hairdressers for months before making my move to steal boxes of hair dye. This time she took more photos from outside and watched me from inside. Incident #4: This last incident was the proverbial camel. The same woman was outside unloading her car when I pulled up last week. Please do keep in mind that these incidents are several months apart. Rather than get herself to the safety of her locked salon, she set down her packages and rudely stared at me for several minutes. I don’t know what she thinks I’m going to do. I’ve rarely spent more than 2 minutes outside her shop. She’s never asked any questions and she is oblivious to clues that I’m not a criminal: I’m usually dressed in business attire, I’m only there in the morning between 7 – 730. I’m just tired of being treated as if I have no business outside her shop, that I’m there for some nefarious purpose. She’s feels comfortable enough to come outside her shop and take photos, but she won’t venture to say, «hello» or «what are you doing here?» Oh, and consequently, another of my carpool members also parks there every 3 weeks and has NOT had this experience as I have. It’s just me, specifically.

I’ve had my hair cut by Kelly a few times. I always walk out with exactly what I want and looking way better then I imagined. She cuts my 6 and 2 year old daughters hair too. I’m so happy I finally found a great hairdresser that won’t disappear in to thin air like most others do.
