Not bad for the price and location, but not amazing either. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken breast and he ordered the half chicken. The half chicken could have been more seasoned, but wasn’t bad. This a healthy-ish option compared to the burger, hot dog and fried fish places that surround it.

My favorite place to eat at Seaport Village! I work at SV, so it’s very convenient to pick up an employee salad for $ 3 My favorite is their cucumber yogurt dip! Warm pita and a greek salad right before work hits the spot! Do recommend!

Great gyros! I was looking for something close to my hotel and found this tasty little spot. I had the lamb/beef gyro with cucumber sauce, it filled me up. Can’t forget to mention the great service.

I’d say it is a really nice place to have lunch at. Food is delicious knowing the culture of Greek kitchen, but needs a bit of touch up I sense of plates and silverware. Will defiantly stop by next time around. Hope for the improvements. Cheers!

This is a great casual place with fresh Greek food. Wish I found it on my first day in San Diego, and not my last!

Food is tasty, but they do gyros funny and could be a little more liberal with the sauce. But all and all not a bad place if you want some Greek food!

Was very happy to be able to get some falafel. Too pricey, but location, location, location. I was just happy to have some vegetarian options.

Stopped for dinner in seaport village and decided to try the Greek restaurant. It was okay — the meat was fairly tender but looked dried out. Pita bread was warm. The salad was okay but skimp on toppings. Probably wouldn’t go back again but it wasn’t the worst place ever.

This was pretty good for a greek shop! I was actually a little worried because it is in such a touristy area but it was really good! I just got a lamb gyros sandwich. It was fast, tasty, and not too pricey for the location. They have take out as an option and delivery as well! They have huge skewers of meat roasting right in front of you too. A great stop for something different to eat besides mexican food and pizza. 4 of 5 stars because I have had cheaper and a little better quality but this is still good. You are also paying for the location really. So not bad! It’s in a great location. Seaport village, a park, the midway, the Saturday fish market, all within walking distance. The service was fast and friendly too.

Fantastic! I devoured a Gryo Sandwich and it was the best one I have ever had! It was huge, loaded with meat, and the tzatziki sauce was really good also. Great food, great views of the harbor. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes a good gyro.

Amazing!!! The food here is delicious, I am SO happy I bought a Groupon and discovered this place because I would go back in a heartbeat. The plates are big enough to share, and sooo tasty. We got the Greek beers, which were great too! And let’s be honest, you can’t beat the view. Prices are great, service was great… We just had a really good time. Thank you!

I’m willing to bet they make their own pita… It’s so fresh. And their gyro is good too… Not greasy/oily like others.

Disgusting! I ordered the lemon chicken and this is what I got… not cooked on the inside and gross coating on the outside. the pita was dry and coated with the same disgusting seasoning as the chicken. The salad was basically greens and the dressing was so oily I couldn’t eat it. Thank goodness I ordered a side of rice because the rest of the meal was putrid. I paid almost $ 20 dollars for a meal I had to throw away. I don’t know why they call themselves Greek because it was definitely not. I do know why it has island in its title because that’s where the food should be sent so nobody has to eat it.

Gyro perfection! This café has been one of my longtime favorites when it comes to greek cuisine. The gyro meat is ALWAYS perfect and the side salad and rice pilaf are perfectly on point. Don’t be fooled. It isn’t just a touristy shop located in Seaport Village. It has quality, authentic Greek food that is always served to perfection. Greek Islands Café is located on the water near the northern end of Seaport Village. You come up to the counter to order and there are both indoor and outdoor seating areas. I recommend getting the gyro platter, which gives you the option to choose between a greek salad or rice pilaf. For an extra $ 1.50, you can have both. I also recently purchased the groupon, which gave the BF and I a sweet savings($ 15 for $ 25).

First time here and gotta say it was a good choice. I came here with my girlfriend for lunch and had an overall good experience. It was her first time ever having Greek food and she loved it. I really recommend this place. We both got the gyro sandwich and a Coronado beer.

Amazing views, tasty Greek, and generous portions justify the slightly high priced menu. I had the Greek dinner with salad, gyro, and souvlaki and my wife had the souvlaki platter with rice. Those two meals could easily feed three adults. The gyros are authentic off the spit, and though the salad has lettuce it is generously drizzled with crumbled feta, and has enough cucumbers and tomatoes to remind you this is a Greek salad. The souvlaki is well cooked, right amount of char, and there plenty of dark meat to go around. It’s not the world’s best Greek food — but it’s quite good and the view from the outside tables is fantastic — looks out over the bay, seagulls, sunshine, ah san Diego. Makes this a nice location for a lunch or early dinner. Watch out for those pigeons!

i got the combo so I could try a little bit of everything with a side of falafel. The falafel was just OK. I’ve had better. I don’t know if its normally fried but theirs is baked and just didn’t have that umph I was looking for. Their Greek salad was good but I have had better. Maybe it just wasn’t dressed enough. My combo came with a sauce that I’ve never had before. It had a bitterness to it so I got more tzatziki sauce instead for the meat and pita bread. The pita bread was warm and soft. That was very nice. The meat was tender and juicy. The spanakopita was delicious and so was the stuffed grape leaves with rice. Overall, the meal was very filling and the combo meal is a great deal. Very little wait despite how busy it was and the service was excellent. If I had more room, I wouldve tried their desserts.

Amazing!!! So delicious. Authentic. It’s so good. I have had Greek many times before but this place is my all time fav. The gyros are my fave. The our famous«combo» is great. Love the Greek salad! I come from L.A. just to eat here… Plus it’s in seaport village, you can walk off some of the calories ;)

They’re a decent option to satiate that Greek food fix, and not just because you’re burned out on burgers, pizza, or tacos. There are several restaurant options around Seaport Village’s main food court area and the snacks are tasty here without burning the budget. You could do far worse for overpriced/underwhelming meals in the tourist zone. It’s a straightforward menu, with plastic versions of menu items on display, which I’m ambivalent about. Just look and point at what looks good enough to eat. My minor gripe is that the spanakopita is such a tiny portion and not nearly as great compared to the platters I’ve tried from east coast diners. I’m guessing my local search for exceptional SoCal spanakopita may be in vain, much like my ongoing search of superb key lime pie, lobster rolls, or deep dish pizza. The tiny dining room gets crowded at times. If they’re available, enjoy the open patio seating in back which provides more views along the Big Bay. Waterfront snacking for a fair price is a-ok in my book.
