This is my go-to gal for Macarons. Nobody makes a better salted caramel and I loved the size and freshness of her cookies. The flavors of the month are always awesome. October is pumpkin. Give it a try if you’re @farmers market. You won’t be sorry! :-)

They had a booth at the OB Farmer’s market and we stopped by to see what flavors of macarons she had. She had a nice variety on display and even made a few custom ones for us. I like that you can mix and match flavors and that she frosts the filling in front of you if the the flavor combinations you want aren’t in the case. We ended getting the lavender lemonde, strawberry, espresso, pistachio, and rose macarons? They were $ 10 for 5 and I couldn’t wait to try them! Unfortunately the shell was kinda of hard and not chewy like how I like them. I don’t remember seeing other goodies that day, so I’m not sure if she bakes anything else other than macarons.

Lacee has a great booth at Otay Ranch farmers market. Her display is so yummy! She always has a variety of macaron flavors.(Lavender, salted caramel, hazelnut, rose, vanilla bean, to name a few)… The macarons are a nice size and prepared nicely. The flavor is also lovely… They are also frosted there at the market. The only complaint I have about these macarons is that they are missing what I love the most, that chewy middle. These macarons, tasted great, but were very dry and crumbly once you bite into it. Maybe it’s because they are gluten free? Idk. There’s also other little baked goods available. Overall still a great booth at farmers markets.

While visiting the OB Farmer’s(09-18-2013) I came across Gigi’s handmade Gluten Free Goodies stand. The items on display looked amazing and I had to stop to try out some of the free samples being offered. When I stopped I was pleased to discover that a majority of the goodies being sold were not only wheat/gluten free but also vegan. I tried the sample of the vegan carrot cake and it was amazing. The cake itself was moist; the frosting was tasty but not too rich. After trying these amazing little treats I found out a little more about Gigi’s handmade wheat/gluten free treats. Gigi’s gluten free started after the owner, Lacee, went gluten free in 2008. Her love for cooking became a love for baking. Back in 2008, no gluten free products were offered in the grocery store. At least not any edible ones. With her art degree, creativity and diet restrictions: Gigi’s gluten free was born. The company is named after her daughter, Gigi With a variety of gluten free goodies to choose from, I am sure you will be happy with Gigi’s. Gigi’s can be found at local farmer’s market in San Diego, CA. Special orders can be placed by contacting Gigi directly. Gigi’s can be found the below Farmer’s Markets: Otay Ranch Farmer’s Market San Diego, CA Every Tuesday 4pm-8pm Ocean Beach Farmers Market San Diego, CA Wednesday’s 4pm-8pm If you do not live in San Diego I believe Gigi’s handmade wheat/gluten free treats will ship directly to you.
