No reason to go out of your way to come here but if you’re in the area and need something specific from a Mexican grocery, this will do. I strolled in here while I was waiting for my pupusas from El Salvador next door. I was happy that they had a good variety of pan dulce at a great price(any 3 for $ 1). No one spoke English here — glad that my Spanish skills from taking over 6 yrs in HS and college paid off.

Since this market is right next to El Salvador Pupuseria y Restaurante, they do have some unique food and drinks imported from there. They have a decent selection of marinated meats, including al pastor(my favorite) that looked pretty tasty. My friend and I walked out of the store with some chicharrón, other snacks(Takis Salsa Brava — little tomatoey taquitos, Papas Toreadas Habañero — yummy!, Aldama Obleas Con Cajeta — one of my favorite mexican candies, caramel wafer-discs), and Kolachampan, a sweet vanilla cream tasting soda. It would help if you spoke at least some spanish as I had a little trouble communicating with some of the workers. Also they sell tortillas as j t. said that were kind of expensive and some other prepared food.

produce is too old the tortllas are good to eat only on the first day you buy them, the next day they are hard like tostadas, they should try to get better variety of dairy products. it looks like they been for a while their carne asada is too tough to eat
