Second time I’ve eaten At this place, first time had a few hiccups, but decided to give them a second chance, this time my food was so good. The wings were nice and saucy like I like them, they were hot as well. And the pizza was very good, there were no burnt pieces. I spoke to the manager himself who was the kindest man. I definitely recommend this place.

I have a tradition of stopping here for a slice(or two) of pizza after I have been out at the bars in North Park. It has gotten to a point where the staff recognizes me. The pizza is always amazing and the guys in the front are so nice. They give huge slices and it reminds me of slices of pizza I’ve gotten in New York. I will always love this place!

Just ordered from here, delivery was on time and it was surprisingly hot. The calzone was decent, just not what I’m used to being from New York and trying other calzones. The penne Antonio was good. Overall it was decent.

Pizza… the beloved drunken snackage. However, in the case of Florencia’s, I was sadly left severely unsatisfied. I do not typically enjoy giving one star reviews so I will quickly highlight the downsides of my negative experience here with Florencias. — Overpriced($ 30 for a medium pizza) — Bad Customer Service — Slow Delivery(over half an hour late, based upon the time estimate that they had given which was 45 – 60 minutes) — Pizza burned… yet undercooked(How… just how?) Based on the mixed reviews for this locations, it seems that those who dine-in have a more positive experience. My advice to others would be to not order delivery during busy hours. The staff and management here don’t seem to have an effective process in dealing with a heavy amount of orders, so do yourself a favor and look elsewhere during those late hours.

Ordered a pizza slice. The toppings wanted to slip off. Also, lé crust was burnt. But hey, the interior was quite nice and the restaurant was clean.

I don’t even want to give them one star. This place is awful. My husband did like his pasta though. Took them 30 minutes to get to our house that is only four minute away– total wait time from ordering was two hours. So by the time the food got here it was not hot and tasted gross. The delivery man walked through our common area yelling ‘pizza, pizza’- we have neighbors, have some respect. I rarely post bad reviews but this one was necessary. Please go elsewhere.

Nothing good happens after 2 am? Well, at least there is pizza! And this place is perfect to satiate any of your late night/early morning/post bar/just hungry cravings. Might take a minute to get your order ready but it is always hot, perfect and so good! Quick note: they don’t serve alcohol after a certain time here. .

So good we ate here twice within a 3-hr span; not sure if the 2nd time was due to a drunken stupor or if the pizza was actually that good. LOL. We stopped in here one evening on our way to a lounge for drinks and dancing. The ambiance here was pleasant and quiet. The place had a take-out rustic feel(the walls were painted with a feel of Italy). The service was good as well. The cashier was very attentive and provided suggestions for our greedy crowd(on both occasions). The pizza was delicious. The sauce didn’t taste canned and was well seasoned. The toppings were fresh and the crust was Tony the Tiger Greeaat!(I love bread period!). We opted for wine with our pie; I chose a red and had 2 nice sized glasses. The price we paid wasn’t bad for the amount of food that we purchased for 5 adults. The second time around we caught them right before they were set to close and they still provided us with the same amount of service(and we were really loud). I’d definitely return if in the area. I love a good pie! Especially when it comes at a decent price and with great service!

People love to hate this place. I am not sure why either. I know they do take out but I dine in or like today, took advantage of their lunch special, a large house salad which came with a large piece of garlic bread that would satisfy The Rock’s appetite. I was hungry from working out so I had some left overs but wanted a salad and a little bread to go with my half sandwich. I love their house salad and their garlic bread is very, very good. I also recommend their meatballs and meat sauce, I tried that two weeks ago with their cheesy bread and it was divine! I recommend dining in, it’s really nice in there now as they did a remodel. Great service and good food. I have never eaten their pizza but I know that their cheesy bread is very good so I am sure that the pizza is decent.

My absolute favorite late night dinner!!! I went here at 2am bored at home with my bff and it was super busy(I guess it’s a thing to come here after the bars close) so I thought the food would take forever considering the amount of tables and surprisingly it came out within 10 – 15 minutes of ordering which was great!!! I ordered a spicy Antonio pasta definitely recommend it with added chicken and their pesto cheesy break sticks dipped in marinara… LIFE in your mouth.

4.5÷5 stars A small Italian– style restaurant and pizzeria. When I worked evening shifts in North Park and only had 15 minute breaks for dinner, Florencia’s was a delicious option. I ordered my pizza about 30 minutes before I anticipated my break and my pizza would be ready by the time I got off. I would get a personal pizza for under $ 10, sometimes less than $ 8 with two toppings and it would be so tasty. A generous amount of toppings and cheese– and sometimes the guy would only charge me for one topping since I was a loyal customer. The only reason I held out from giving 5 stars is that I never tried any of their pasta dishes or anything other than their pizza– primarily because they were a bit pricey. But I definitely recommend their pizza, especially if you work in the area.

We had this place deliver food to our hotel after a looooong day at the zoo with the kids. We ordered the family meal, it was a lot of food and an affordable price! We even had some leftovers for later. The food was good, not the best Italian food I’ve ever had, but tasty. The food reheated well. Delivery time was quoted 45 mins to a hour, it took a hour; which wasn’t a big deal because that’s what they quoted.

After a long day at the zoo, hubby and I checked into our hotel and didn’t want to leave. The girl at the front seat recommended this place and we were not disappointed! We ordered an eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana. Both came served over pasta with a cup of minestrone soup and a huge piece of garlic bread. We had a good dinner and some food left over for breakfast the following morning. Not the most authentic Italian food but definitely hits the spot after a tiring day.

My order of pizza and a salad took over an hour. When the salad arrived, it literally was lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. They left off half of it! The place had no idea where the driver was, don’t buy from here. UPDATE: The manager promised to fix it in 10 minutes…35 minutes later the order arrived. I refused it and he said he would refund my money if I deleted this review. So now I have to report this business to Bank of America as fraudulent and lucky for me, I took pictures of everything that happened.

Really enjoyed delivery from the place. Ordered Ravioli stuffed with meat, topped with meat sauce and my girlfriend ordered an order of the minestrone soup and a salad. Both of us felt extremely satisfied. Generous portions and complimentary garlic bread rocked our house! Unfortunately the to go packaging allowed for some the of grease to collect in the Ravioli order, and by the time it got to us the bread was soggy, so that’s the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars this time around. Hope to dine in the actual establishment and update this review in the near future. Highly recommend!

After plenty debate… florencias gets shafted due to a pizzaria with the same name… on Grb Hub there are many reviews like mine. Sorry mike… this must be a pain… 5 stars for the mix up. It seems the place I ordered from is an abandoned building… Sorry again.

I must update this review: 5 min after this review posted, I received a phone call from the owner, Michael. He was the most pleasant man that I have spoke to on the phone this evening. He IMMEDIATELY rectified the situation and offered a full refund or additional food with a dessert. I opted for a refund(it’s after midnight, I can’t wait for more food) minus the tip for the driver, for his troubles. I am not an unreasonable person and I don’t think people should work for free. I greatly appreciated Michael’s customer service and I will return to give them a second chance. Initial Review: I’m in a hotel and I ordered delivery late night because my hotel stopped serving food at 11pm. I ordered a combo platter which on the menu is listed at $ 12.99 and I also ordered a canned Coke my total was $ 18. I advised that on the menu I was ordering from the price was $ 12.99 the gentleman on the phone told me that that price was wrong and it has gone up to $ 13.99(Great customer service, right.NOT.I should have taken this as a red flag) .It’s late at night what else can I do. My food arrives and it is completely under cooked mush. If the food was edible I’d be very upset that they only gave me one tiny little ranch with this much fried food. I called and the gentleman on the phone decided it was a good idea to try n argue with me… Here I am describing my experience! **Initially I gave 1 star… I updated to 4 after the experience on the phone with the owner**

Chef Salad with house dressing is my favorite and the garlic bread is my favorite. I’ve never ordered online but I always go in. They do service wine and beer if that is your choice of drink as well as sodas and tea. Very sweet waitress that always treats me and my son(with autism) with great respect and courtesy. I feel like home when I go here. I’ve been a North Park resident for over 20 years and they have never disappointed me. Thank you Florencia!

It is very nice to see an establishment owned/managed by someone who really cares about their customers and the public in general. Michael contacted me about a problem I had a couple nights ago and was adamant about resolving the issue for me. I can say that I feel much better after having talked to him. He spent a lot of time out of his day trying to make it up to me. Thank you Michael.

So the pizza is pretty good. I wouldn’t say amazing. They have a huge selection on their menu and they deliver late and far. The delivery boys are usually super handsome but it takes about an hour for them to get to me in City Heights. Don’t order Tirimisu. It’s $ 5 and gets to you frozen for one bad slice. If I could, I’d give this place a 3.5

Florencia’s was a pleasant surprise at such a late hour of the night. I’m rarely out past 10pm anymore, but somehow we found ourselves out among the streets of North Park well after midnight. We decided to pop into Florencia’s because we were told that it was THE place to quell the late night pizza munchies. Florencia’s certainly didn’t disappoint. I was really impressed by the amount of different pizza-by-the-slice offerings they had available. Anything you want they will pretty much customize. I was even more surprised by how fresh and crunchy my two slices of the works were. The crust was cooked perfectly, and the toppings were generous and fresh. I certainly wouldn’t mind returning here for dinner to try some of their other offerings. Staff members were all very welcoming and accommodating. They are accustomed to dealing with a lot of intoxicated people at night, so their admirable customer service orientation was particularly noteworthy.

I don’t understand why there’s many bad reviews. I ordered a Pesto Pizza at 1:10 A. M received it at 2:00 A. M, I wouldn’t complain about the wait time because that just means it’s made fresh. As far as the taste, I enjoy it a lot. I’d recommend this place for late night food. All the other restaurants that deliver late night suck. As far as the looks, check out the picture on Unilocal of the Pesto Pizza. No filters.

Unexpectedly delicious! We’re staying in the Residence Inn, this place was highly recommended by hotel-staff. We tried the Family Good Meal, at $ 28.99 and added desserts. Our total was very responsible, as was the delivery fee. Our delivery guy, was just as friendly and helpful as can be. The food? Delicious, filling, fresh, flavorful and was even properly packaged… to avoid temp. issues. Great experience! !

All I can say is «WOW» how does this place survive? My delivery was four hours late (Yes 4) and when I called they were very rude and asked what they wanted them to do about it? Ummm… okay. And then other awful things they said that weren’t professional. I’m just going to let the pictures speak for themselves. I don’t usually do this(well I’ve never done this) but when you get treated poorly, and you have a hungry child then things get real very quick. Hey pizza was uncooked she had to spit it out. And my veggie lasagna had no veggies and a ton of cold ground beef. Well, there ya have it. And enjoy the slice of burnt bread.

If you’ve had a long drinking night in the heart of North Park, this place can at least bring you back amongst the living. However, if you’re looking for great tasting, authentic Italian cuisine… Keep walking. I’ve eaten in-house and it was fine for a quick slice but when ordered out, I definitely lived to regret it. The fried ravioli had no coating and was cold, the chicken Alfredo had bits of breaded chicken mixed in with over cooked spaghetti, with no sauce. When I contacted the restaurant, they didn’t attempt to remake the order, or offer a refund. I have pictures showing the poor quality of the food. I’m not a complainer, if I don’t like what you serve I simply don’t return but this was a special occurrence. I gave them one star for attempting to cook the food at all.

So I’m reading the reviews and so far people are complaining about the delivery time. Problem is, most people realize you shouldn’t depend on North Park delivery as a rule of thumb considering the dense building set up, confusing street set-up, and just general difficulty traveling around to find a particular address. This is made even more difficult if you live OUTSIDE of North Park and expect the drivers to take the freeway usually occupied by people commuting around Mission Valley, North Park, and National City. So this review takes delivery time out of the equation. The actual restaurant feels like a mom and pop shop at times, though it does seem like they hire a few locals to work the front. There is a lack of craft beers on the menu and instead go for more generic Bud and so forth, which is strange considering that they do have a license to sell in North Park. I personally feel that this does set them apart as a spot to cool down from bar hopping on the main strip off of University. In terms of staff, they’re very flexible with orders and will let you customize slices. It never seems crowded, so often the staff will wait on you hand and foot, even coming by to refill your soda cup and insisting you stay seated and relax when the machine is 4 feet away and you can do it yourself. In terms of the food, I’ve only had the pizza and can’t speak for their pasta dishes. The slices are on the thicker side though not too fluffy, so you do get a good bang for your buck. Is it the best slice in the neighborhood? Not with Berkeley Pizza and Scilian Thing so close by, but that doesn’t mean their slices don’t hit the spot.
