This may have been Modern Time’s very first beer festival, but it was easily phenomenal. Right off the bat, the brewery list bespoke epicness. To name a few(in no specific order of greatness): CellarMaker OtherHalf Kern River DEGARDE Almanac Sante Adairius MT pulling out the big guns by getting these breweries to attend. The event went smoothly too. Not too many drunk, rowdy people… Good vibes from everyone coming together to celebrate craft beer. Plenty of beer to drink and understandably some of the good stuff went quick. Sure, there may have been some disappointment, but there was just so much dank-tastic beer to be had that any animosity was quickly extinguished. Food trucks were on-site, towers of water to quench any thirst, plenty of shade, and it was just a perfect, sunny day at 75 degrees. Plenty of positives all around, but obviously there were some things that could be improved upon for the next festival(because there definitely will be another): –More bathrooms! At times, I spent 20 minutes in line. –More food trucks! Or at least make sure they are prepared because food did run out and there was very little selection. –More lines for checkin or provide some clarification as to which line is which. Some people mentioned having stood in another line that wasn’t for general admission. I think this was a VIP entrance, but no where did it indicate that. –Reserve the space until well after the end of the event. Last call occurred 1 hour before the end and they stopped pouring 30 minutes before the hour I guess to give the breweries time to clear out. I leave this awesome festival with a 4 partially because of the above con’s but mostly because I know next year will be even more epic. Looking forward to another illustrious festival!
