El Pollo Loco

Very disappointed we got the 12 pc family meal the chicken was red and bloody the tortillas were cold I call back to let them know and the manager was very rude I ask for her name and she denied to proved me her name customer service is very rude she said there was nothing they can do about it and she argue back and forth with me until I have to hang up the phone then I call the 1877−375−4968 waited for more than 30 min on the line and never got to speak to any body… food uncooked, cold and customer service is the worst..

My only complaint about this place is that they always discontinue everything interesting! They had crispy chicken tacos — discontinued. Then they had some chicken nachos — discontinued! Both were delicious but for some reason I guess they didn’t make the cut. Not everyone wants a pollo meal or burrito. Please bring back those two items! For now they only get 3 stars.

Great customer service and fast turn around. The place is always clean and soda access is easy. I always get my chicken well done to get that crispness that I crave.

Great food. Great service. Very clean. I love this place. They’re always busy but take the time to check your order in front of you or call it out to you when in the take out window. It’s always hot, juicy, fresh and delicious. Thank you!

Very disappointing. Poor value! We had the family meal and it was a ripoff and certainly not as pictured. The chicken had good flavor but these were the tiniest 8 pieces I have ever seen. The beans were hard and barely warm, tortillas cold and tasteless, rice was fair, and the salad lacked some ingredients that were pictured. We had requested salad dressing and got one small packet for a dinner that is supposed to feed four. By the way this meal would feed 2 adults and 1 young child at the most. Go somewhere else and get more quantity and better quality.

The food here is good but they have a very rude a bad customer service. If you don’t like your job than go find something else better. I’m so glad I have to comfront one of the employer earliar just to make sure they know so they don’t do this to no one else. #seriously #growup!!!

Fresh, fresh food. Nice size servings. The staff here is always so happy and friendly it’s a pleasure to dine here and you always feel welcome. I enjoy how clean this restaurant is kept, including the bathrooms. Always a pleasure to eat here. I’m a big fan of their cob salad

This location is always so convenient and walking distance from where I live. When my boyfriend and I can’t decide what to make for dinner or just want to have something semi healthy and totally fresh we get something from here. I love their flavor. Their salsas are always fresh and tasty, but if you are tolerant and want super hot salsas you will not get it here. Tip: if you don’t want to take 5 minutes filling small little cups with salsa, ask for a bigger cup and they will gladly give you one or two. I have tried almost everything I’m their menu and it’s all delicious. When I want something light I will order their 2 enchilada plater which comes with a side of salad. I love the fact that they have the under 500 calorie menu. Those items are actually pretty satisfying. I would also like to add that their workers have always been nice and friendly.

OMG I absolutely love El Pollo Loco! As a California native I’ve been going here for years! Everything is good. I have cravings to go here at times. Establishment is usually clean and service is good.

I was not a fan of the food they have there. I got a burrito, but the menu isn’t very kid friendly. We got it to go, so I couldn’t say much for the cleanliness, but it seemed ok. My family enjoyed there meal though. Never get a churro. They taste like old oil and grease. I guess if you like that sort of thing fit would be super tasty, but until that day, BLEEGH. If you need quick food this place is ok. I don’t know if it was just because we went late, big the person who served us was was confusing.

This pollo loco is clean, friendly and delicious! New seating, and tables outside. An employee even came by offering toothpicks and wet wipes to everyone. I have to say it didn’t feel like a fast food restaurant.

I feel like I don’t get the el pollo loco experience. The workers don’t greet you, it’s just like robots working. If you need food quick and don’t care about customer service go to this one. They about dollars and cents. No coupon for you. Maybe Wednesday would be the best day to go

i read all the reviews and noticed there was no mention of their wednesday special. for $ 3.99, you get their 2 piece meal, which includes 2 sides and either flour or corn tortillas. u probab save a few bucks over the regular price. however, not all ELPs have this special, so look to see if they have a banner or window sign. for example, couple yrs ago, went to the location in mission valley. they did not have the weds special there, so i just left. i havent been there awhile, so maybe it’s different. definitely a good LRV (Low-​Roller Value).
anyways, this is one of my fave go to place w/​friends when we are in the area.

p. s. parking is a problem. not too many spaces for the restaurant. wish it was in a better location. however, it is right off the bus lines if u take public transport.

CLEANLINESS
A lot more clean than I was expecting. Floors clean, and the salsa bar was well kept and looked fresh. I looked in the back where all the food was being made, and the stainless steel kitchenware was spotless.
THE FOOD
Pretty standard tasty stuff. I liked their seasoned corn… not sure what they call it, but they put something good in there. I’ve always been a fan of their tortillas, but that’s just me =)
CUSTOMER SERVICE
The cashier that was helping us out was named «MONY.» I asked her about her name, and she told me that it was really MONICA, but we joked around about it being like «Money-​Monica.» I would have probably given this place a 3 Star rating if it wasn’t for the few laughs I had with Money-​Mony-​Monica. I noticed she had a different color shirt on, and I asked if she was management, only to discover that she is a shift supervisor. Seemed like she had things under control, and was super cool, so if the Higher-​Ups are reading this, maybe they should consider a lil promotion for Mony… just saying.
OVERALL
It was a very enjoyable experience, and I will definitely be back.

I love their Horcata and 2 piece meal but i didnt give it a 5 because this el pollo loco has bad service sometimes…

Came here for dinner with a friend. Tried their stuffed chicken and avocado quesadilla combo with a side of Mac and cheese. Loved their Mac and cheese but their quesadilla was salty. Giving them 3 stars because I had great service.

I have never been in side an el pollo loco before, it’s so nice! The grills are set up nicely and you can see the food on the grill. The tables were really clean and they even had a salsa bar, some of the condiments were out though.
The service is great here, the guy scanned a coupon for me, saved me 3bucks!
This is my favorite el pollo loco because its next to sang dao restaurant…
I usually order papaya salad from song dao with stick rice and order some chicken next door at el pollo loco!!!
If your not Laos or Thai or Cambodian… You won’t understand why I do this lol. Sticky rice and grilled chicken with papaya salad is like the staple got street food back home… Thailand

I am a fan of the flavor of El Pollo Loco’s chicken. I came and had their drum and thigh combo with pinto beans and a side salad. I also had an order of chips with guacamole. The combo cost $ 6.29 and the chips w/​guac. $ 2.79.
As I said earlier, I enjoy the chicken very much, but I do not think you get enough for what you pay. I mean $ 6.29 for two little pieces of chicken and two small sides, it just does not at up. (

The chicken was really good but a tad on the salty side. I used all of the meat to make a couple of small tacos. I made one with their red sauce and one with their green. I enjoyed the green sauce much more. It was better balance in flavor. (
) The salad was very good and the beans good. The cilantro creamy dressing I had with the salad was very good. (
) The beans were cooked well and seasoned well.
The chips were very good and the guacamole was borderline descent and bland. It even had a dull appearance. Not a very good day for guacamole at The Crazy Chicken.
The service was good. They were very busy when I came, but they were able to hand the load and get food out at a reasonable amount of time.

Easy to spot location, but hard to get food through their crazy 360 degree drive through up a ramp! I have a midsize sedan and I was fearful my car was going to scrap the sides!!!
Their drive-​through is ridiculously narrow, its up a hill and its windy! Next time i eat there i’m definitely going to order inside.
The food was delicious as always. They were quick and friendly.
Nothing too special about this particular location but i give El Pollo Loco a 4 star in general for some gooood «fast food»!

All I can say is that it’s my favorite place to get chicken. I love their chicken!
Since I live in the general vicinity, I get coupons in the mail all the time, and get my neighbors to give me theirs so I can also use them.
