Denny’s

Denny’s is always going to be Denny’s. Nothing too special to say lol my meal was delicious of course. I tried their new juices. They were pretty good.

I really like this Denny’s. Clean diner and my waitress was so nice. The service was good but I think some of the employees can cheer up a bit. My waitress made up for that

There was something slimy in my water the last couple of times I went here. Pretty sure it was spit. It’s possible that it wasn’t, but I don’t feel comfortable eating here anymore.
They have deep fried dough things that are delicious though.

Service is amiable as always. Food is okay. Free WiFi attracts UCSD students on late nights.
Country Fried Steak & Eggs is my go-​to order. For an ~$ 11 plate, it’s a little expensive for the quality of the chicken steak, it always looks a little shriveled and somewhat thin but goes down fine. No complaints on the eggs, hash browns, or bread.
I would shy away from the appetizers, since these dishes usually require the least amount of prep and are, most of the time, heated then thrown together. One example is the Zesty Nachos, which is just a few scoops of heated beef slop thrown onto a bowl of nachos, then topped with a dollop of sour cream. Missed the point of being an appetizer, as it wasn’t appetizing.
I used to come here all the time one late nights to study. They have free WiFi, and a pretty quiet section away from the main dining where you can lay out all our stuff and concentrate. I usually grab a cup of coffee, which is refillable, and pump out some assignments.
Late night service is always good. Friendly and attentive.

Horrible experience. Found half a roach in my food, and the manager just tried to say it was their seasoning and gave me half off my meal, like that made it okay. The meal was overpriced to begin with

Cleanest bathrooms of any Denny’s (or any restaurant even) I have ever been to! I try to check bathrooms before I decide to eat at a restaurant because it tells you a lot about how the management runs the restaurant well the restaurant management here runs a very tight neat ship.

I was done with Dennys from a very bad experience at the Dennys in East E Street & 805. There was a foreign metal object on my pancakes the size of a quarter! It damaged my tooth.
However, this morning upon my mother’s insistence we came to this Denny’s, and right from the hostess, to our waitress Pegg, everything was cooked perfectly, our waitresd Pegg was very attentive, the dinner was clean, the ambient was pleasant, so I plan to come here again and again! Definitely 5 stars.

I went to this Denny’s on Miramar Road this evening. The waiter, Eddie, sucked! He served me lukewarm coffee and said he would be back to take my order. I was busy studying, and realized after 45 minutes that he never returned. So I walked to the front and told the manager, Cecelia, that my waiter never came back to take my order, and she made some lame excuse about me sitting in the study section of the restaurant. WTF… so if you have books, you’re not entitled to service??? Your stupid waiter seated me there beotch! So I left and took this hot chick that I was studying with to get some sushi. F’ yeah!

Best Dennys I have ever been to! Here’s why:
1. It is renovated not too long ago. It looks really nice.
2. It has a section for students — basically, they have created a section where there are two outlets on the wall per table.
3. It offers free wifi and it is ²⁴⁄₇. Can I say, late night studying?
4. The waiter, Jesse, checks in with us periodically.
5. The food is cheap and tasty — perfect for any students that are too broke.
6. The location is not too far from universities and community college nearby. Also, it’s right in front of the base!

Says they don’t have alcohol. they do. A full bar actually. Food is always good, they remember your face and name, and super friendly.

Have been a regular here from last ~3 years. Good food but the service is getting worse by the day. No sense of customer appreciation! Things get particularly messy during Sunday breakfast/​brunch. Short staffed, less attentive and cranky. Hope they can pull-​up their socks and start valuing the customers.

I ordered a to go order via phone. The lady who took the order was very friendly. We got here before the order was ready and just sat down in the front area while we waited. It looked quite clean in here. Staff was very friendly and the lady who packed up the to go items made sure we had everything before we left.
The to go containers were different but I loved how everything was separated. We got a Chicken-​Fried Steak and Moons Over My Hammy. Those are my usual choices for my Denny’s visits. Tasted you like average Denny’s meal. Good but not amazing.

Had a very nice breakfast in this remodel Denny’s place. Definitely looks different with the new interior design.
It’s always pleasant to a have at Sunday early morning at this location a good meal.

Just went by there and picked up some breakfast! You know, bacon and eggs done perfectly, side of hash brown and toast is the American staple. Denny’s does it right! And for a great deal. Thanks for always being on your game Denny’s!

I’ve been going to this Denny’s for quite some time and today was the first time since they had done renovations. The place is much cleaner and feels much more welcoming. They got rid of the booths and added seating akin closer to a mom and pop family diner. Even the bathrooms seem much cleaner than before. If you’re a student, the outlets on the wall are much sturdier than before and can hold those heavy blocked mac chargers in place. At the end of the day, however, the place is still a Denny’s so the food is what you take of it and not too special as compared to other restaurants in the chain. Solid.

Been to this location twice and never thought I would really do another review of any Denny’s because I thought they were all the same. Not on weekends, they aren’t.
At this location, the weekend cook is Victorio (I asked because the food was so good), and OMFG, he is the BOMB! Every single item was cooked perfectly BOTH times. The difference between Denny’s locations is the COOK and Victorio is just awesome! No undercooked hashbrowns or fatty bacon here.
Go on the weekend.

Surprisingly, this Denny’s actually has the best waffles within 5 mile radius! It is crunch outside, fluffy soft inside. If you have some waffle crazing and doesn’t want to wait for hours in some trendy waffle place, come and give here a try.
Other food are pretty standard Denny’s food, consistent and affordable.

I gave this place a 5 Star before, well because I really liked this place and it did have a lot of good qualities.
As time passes, I have to say, I must give it a 4 star now. It was good at first and it was going great. But as time passes on my disappointment just builds and builds.
A week or two ago, the cashier tried to fucking make me pay the price of a build your own grand slam, which was like 8 dollars including taxes and shit.
When all I ordered was pancakes and scrambled eggs which should only be at least 4 or less. I don’t really remember but yeah. Don’t be trying to pull a fast one on me bitch.
Then there’s today, I did actually order the BYOGS, and my specific order was scrambled eggs, two hash and pancakes. I ordered to go. My mistake was not checking before I left. They were pretty good about getting my order correctly. Never made a mistake once but today, the one thing that I really wanted I did not get. I got the stupid sausage instead of my scrambled eggs. I am infuriated, I would have totally gone back but I need to fucking eat and go to work after, and i dont have time to fucking waste just for that.
I will however call them, but this is totally guh!!!
Okay my anger has fueled me so that I have decided to bring it down one more star. Ugh. Sorry but I really hate it when people don’t do their fucking jobs correctly. Especially something as easy as scrambled fucking eggs.

Came here for lunch since my company is down the road.
We were greeted by a sweet lady with great hospitality.
I decided to be spontaneous and get the red velvet ice cream shake and cinnamon pancakes. It was soooo good! Although the texture of the pancakes tasted as if it was microwaved the cinnamon on top made it good.
