Scent of red oak is in the air. I follow like a lemming to the sea. Smoky aroma guided me through the La Jolla farmer’s market to Corbin’s Q. Faye of Faye’s Fork told me I could get some good bbq from Corbin’s Q. I met Corbin and he told be about his Q and gave me some samples to try. Good guy.
I enjoyed watching the flames caramelizing the bbq sauce on the baby back ribs and charing the meat on Corbin’s grill. Ribs have nice smoky aroma and the carmelized sauce give the juicy ribs a delicious sweet flavor. I add some sauce which gives the ribs more sweetness and a bit of tang.
Trip tip was very tender and juicy with delicious smoky component.
Pulled pork was tender, juicy, and a mix of smoky, sweet, and tangy flavor.
Sausage had a delicious savory flavor.
While all the meats are tasty it’s the baby back ribs which keep bringing me back. Corbin’s Q is a great spot to start the day. :-)

Corbin’s Q catered my 10 year Business celebration on Friday! I have been a regular customer for the ribs in delicious special sauce and Tri Tip sandwiches every Saturday at Poway’s Farmer’s Market, but was not sure how it would translate to a business event. It was a total success!
Not only were the ribs, Tri Tip sliders, pineapple sausages and veggie kabobs an absolute hit, but Corbin is a natural charmer. Everyone loved him and his food!
Corbin was easy to work with, he set up without fuss… and his on site Giant Grill wafted tempting BBQ smells that all my guests really appreciated!
I would hire Corbin Q again without hesitation and recommend to anyone!

So tasty! I loved the chicken skewers. I planned to eat just one but COULD NOT STOP eating them. And they are a company that gives back and helps fight pediatric cancer. A double whammy.

Wow… what can I say?! Corbin’s Q catered our recent event that hosted about 250 ladies for a night out to benefit pediatric cancer. Corbin made the process so easy, he communicated quickly leading up to the event and on the day of (when I was running around like a crazy person), he was early, set up and ready to go before I even knew he was there and brought everything he needed. I didn’t have to worry at all.
Corbin, the grill master himself, was so outgoing w/​the guests and interacted perfectly. His grill is a great show point for any event and he knows how to handle the crowd!
The food was absolutely outstanding. He kept it coming, fresh off the grill all night, and every single person RAVED about how great it was.
I recommend Corbin’s Q for all of your catering needs, 100%. I’m going to have to hunt him down at the La Jolla or Poway farmers markets for my bbq fix until my next event. Not too mention he is very generous with donations to the community. 5 stars, job well done, thank you Corbin!!!

I DJ’d a charity fundraising event last night where Corbin’s was providing BBQ skewers. As a professional wedding DJ I get to eat pretty good at all the Best hotels and catering for wedding & corporate events and I put Corbin’s right up there. Flavor for days and Corbin himself was very kind and easy going. If your thinking catered BBQ cooked right in from of you with some flare Corbin’s is a great choice.

These guys are amazing and food was fantastic. I used Corbin for my Community event to serve about 400 hundred people and they rocked it. They came out cooked on site, helped serve the guest while including everything we needed to serve the guest. The tri-​tip, chicken, pulled pork and RIBS had people’s taste buds bursting. This may sound weird but the beans are to die for. I am seriously upset that I didn’t have more. If you need an event catered or need your weekend BBQ fix, I suggest you go see them. I can’t wait to visit them at the farmers market in Poway and La Jolla. Thanks CorbinsQ for the great experience. See you guys soon.

Corbin’s Q is amazing! The brisket was phenomenal and the beans were out of this world! The ribs and the sauce are BOSS and absolutely tasty!!!

Most amazing barbecue ever. An absolute must when I go to the Poway farmer’s market. Best pulled pork and tri-​tip I’ve had in San Diego! All the employees are so nice and fun and I always have an incredible experience there.

I love Corbin’s! The food is authentic, run by Corbin himself and his pretty charismatic crew makes for a great morning.

Corbin’ BBQ is the best in San Diego. We used Corbin’s Q for our daughters graduation party and it was great. Our guests raved about the food and many are planning on using Corbin’s Q for future events. We had 80 people at the party and there was plenty of food and service was the best.

Had the pulled pork sandwich at the La Jolla Farmers Market today. Was so much food it’s enough to share or to make 2 meals out of, which i did. The grilled brioche bun was a nice touch. The pork was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Mouth watering. Coleslaw was good too just the right amount of tang with out being overly dripping or too creamy the sweet sauce was divine. Thanks Corbin’s!

I had my country wedding this past weekend.
The Corbin’s crew showed up on time and ready to work. They stayed busy at putting together the best spread ever. They were cordial and polite in their interactions with my friends and family. They asked for the best time to start serving to keep everything moving on time.
Once served, the crowd gathered around and dug in and the compliments starting coming. All those at my reception couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was. My dad who is a chef and hard to please, loved the food and couldn’t stop talking about the beans and pulled pork. The food was hot and cooked perfectly. So thank you for making my reception a huge success…

Corbin’s BBQ is out of this world! Had an engagement party at my house for my daughter and can’t tell you what a professional business Corbin is running. He not only made the most amazing dinner but his helpers were extremely helpful. Would recommend him above and beyond!

The best BBQ in San Diego! I love the Tri-​tip sandwich and the grilled artichokes and corn on the cob are delicious. Corbin and his staff are so friendly and we go to the LaJolla Farmers Market just to eat here.

ok, I have been meaning to write a review about these guys for a while but been a little busy!
so here it goes,
I drive from Chula Vista to the La Jolla farmers market about 26 miles on Sundays, so I can get a Corbin’s Q tri tip sandwich $ 8 buck, if you think its a little sandwich you will be Wrong!!!
I have half for lunch and the other half for dinner, The Best in town!!!
A Must Try!!!
I like beans and they make the best BBQ/​Ranch Style beans with tri tip inside the beans! Yum!
I also have to mention the customer service is EXCELLENT!!! Corbin is a sweetheart and that make the food the Best!
I tried the Ribs and if you try them you will never find anything that compares, if everyone tried these Ribs, Phils bbq would go out of business, Seriously!!!
I also have to mention the pulled pork sandwich, Excellent!
This is a must try in san diego if you want Great Bbq!!!

I’m not a BBQ person. BUT when I went to the La Jolla Open Aire Market this morning, it smelled amazing. My boyfriend kept telling me to get some and I wasn’t sure if I’d like it. I LOVED IT! My goodness, probably the BEST ribs ever. Quite savory and the way it was cooked. I am so happy I tried this today! My boyfriend and mom loved the BBQ and probably one of the few main reasons why we would drive all the way to La Jolla for the farmers market.
Might I add, Corbin and the other guy that was there were so friendly and nice.
Most definitely will be thinking of catering options when a big events comes up!

My pulled pork sandwich from Corbin’s Q was absolutely delicious! I was able to get it while at the Poway Farmer’s Market. I was actually quite surprised when they informed me that they do not have a physical storefront because my pulled pork sandwich was better than ones I’ve had at many restaurants. The meat was so tender it was practically falling apart and the sweet sauce complimented it perfectly. It was an unusual (for barbeque) bread that they used also. My guess was that it was focaccia. Whatever it was it was excellent. The price was a little on the high side. At my favorite barbeque restaurant I’m used to paying $ 8.50 and getting two sides and this sandwich was $ 7 with nothing else included. The sandwich was quite large, however. The selection of sides was limited, but that was partially because we made our purchase near the closing time of the market. So that was understandable. The people we dealt with were quite friendly and the man that cashed us out had a sweet handlebar mustache. I’m definitely going to get some more Corbin’s Q the next time I come to the Poway Farmer’s Market.

No big deal, only the BEST BBQ west of the Rockies!
Let’s see:
**The ribs are great. Tender, tasty and oh so satisfying.
**The tri-​tip is amazing. Perfectly cooked, sliced thin and served on a hearty bakery roll.
**The pulled pork sammich is both awesome tasting and a tremendous value. One is enough for two normal people to share… except I don’t know ANYBODY who is willing to share theirs! It’s that good.
If I had to choose a favorite of the three, I’d kick whoever was forcing me to choose square in the junk and run to Corbin’s to get me some more ‘Q!!!

I visit the La Jolla farmers market here and there and my boyfriend brings home items from this market often! I’ve gotten the chance to try Corbin’s ribs and can honestly say they are delicious and unlike any others I have tried.
I’m not really a BBQ person. I’ve had all too many ribs that have been tough, slathered in sauce and called «traditional BBQ». I must say, Corbin’s preparation is magic! Ribs here are tender, meaty, and flavorful!
I’ve had them a couple times now, and if he maintains that high bar that he has set for himself, Corbin’s Q has a long future ahead of themselves!
