I only give it a 3 for the service because it was excellent. They greeted me and my roommate as we walked in and were very helpful since I had never eaten here. The sandwiches are not all that. The turkey was dry and they only come with few topping, I’d rather pay for a five dollar foot long at subway. Also my roommate has to eat gluten free but her ‘sandwich’ which was a lettuce wrap only had one side of lettuce. But kind gentlemen JOE brought another ‘sandwich’ to her for free to take home because she was not satisfied.

I like Capriotti’s. I must say I still miss CP who leased the building previously. However, this is one of my favorite sandwich shops. The sauce is what makes the sandwich. Can be a bit spendy. But, you can find coupons on occasion. I love that it is in my immediate neighborhood. The staff is always friendly. I once got this to-go bag that was done with more TLC than one would expect :-D. I hope Capriotti’s sticks around for a long time.

My family loves the Bobbie with the Thanksgiving flavor. Can’t beat the fresh roasted turkey, who else roasts their turkey on-site? Yes, it’s another sub shop, but they definitely have the fresh down. We used for a grad party and have used them whenever we have a crowd. Everyone goes home happy. :) They make me look goo ooood.

I tried the caprastrami because the pictures of it in other reviews looked so good but it was TERRIBLE! The meat had absolutely no flavor and the cheese that they use does not mix well at all! I don’t know how it has gotten good reviews in the past because the only thing decent about it was the bread! Do not get this sandwhich!

Capriotti’s is different than other sandwich shops. I think they’re most famous for their turkey and the cranberry sauce they use. Instead of slices of turkey, like any other sandwich shop, they use pulled turkey. It’s as if they have a fresh(cooked) turkey and stuff their sandwiches with this white meat. For their specials, I would suggest the bobbie. It consists of: their homemade turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo with either white/wheat bread. It’s basically Thanksgiving in sandwich form. For a sandwich, I think the triple decker is delicious! It comes with their turkey, cranberry sauce, ham, mayo, and lettuce. I am in love with the idea of cranberry sauce on their sandwiches. It’s an odd and different idea, but it really adds to the flavor of the turkey, and the sandwich overall. As for customer service, the cashier was nice. I was taking a really long time, but she was patient and helped me choose what to order. The restaurant was empty, which is a shame because their sandwiches are amazing. I think the downside to it is the fact that their sandwiches are pretty pricey. I’d come again, though.

Idk about best Sandwhich in America, as a matter of fact I deducted a half star for over-promising and underdelivering, that’s not to say that anything is wrong with the sandwhich I got, as a matter of fact it was pretty good BUT that is a long way off from being the best! I also understand that the public votes for these things but the public also voted for George Bush… TWICE! My first impression about this place is it has no soul or character it reeks of corporate chain, allow me to elaborate so you don’t think I’m taking unfair shots at this place. The store itself is very confusing, they have not very good music playing in the background and flat screen tvs turned on to sports channels, my problem with that is why would you have 4 tvs on at the same time and none of them are turned up so you can hear them, it’s as if they are trying to please everyone and succeed in pleasing no one. The space is also much to big, I went in around lunch time and it was basically empty they could have had a space half the size so it would feel more cozy, warm and intimate, any deli/sandwhich shop is suppose to feel like it’s part of the neighborhood and this place feels far from that, and the fact that they make there employees wear stupid little uniforms really grinds my gears, they are kids not corporate sandwhich puppets! Yeah that’s it, the whole environment of this place is terrible and if anyone from company headquarters is reading this you guys need to fix that, I don’t know if your goal is to be the panda express of sandwhich’s but that’s what it feels like. Ok enough about atmosphere on to the FOOD! like I previously stated nothing was wrong with the food but that’s the thing it was just overall decent, it wasn’t a game changer or special, I feel like I could go anywhere and have a bite as good or even better. I have a hunch that they aren’t curing their own meats or making dressings and vinergerettes from scratch or fresh baking breads everyday or using fresh ingredients grown locally all these factors take a sub from being average to amazingly delicious… and if they are doing all these things they are not executing at a high level. I love Pastrami so I got a Capistrami sandwhich which consists of slaw, Pastrami, Russian dressing and cheese, it’s basically their interpretation of a Reubens, very decent BUT I don’t think it had a wow factor to it, and the cheese to meat ratio was off, I think that the cheese and meat need to be equal parts and the cheese should be so melty and gooey that when you take a bite you need a bib! The slaw is just slaw needs a punch of acidity and perhaps some stone ground mustard. I will come back again for one reason and one reason only… the turkey Thanksgiving sandwhich they have looks out of this world amazing, if they have executed it correctly it could be special, if not I’m going to be HELLAPISS3D!

This place is AMAZING. Hands down the BEST place to get a Philly Cheese Steak! My friend and I occasionally stop by here is during the breaks between our classes and we are never disappointed. I’ve tried plenty of Philly cheese steaks before but none are as good as the ones that they serve here. The cheese is melted and gooey throughout the sub and makes every bite taste incredible. I also really like how they dice up the red bell pepper really small into the mix of cheese and meat because it makes the flavor and bites flow together better. You can also order hot or sweet peppers onto your sub for FREE! And if you’re a fan of spicy I really recommend trying the hot peppers on your sandwich. The establishment is always very clean and the people are kind and deliver your sub to you. Overall this place as wonderful food and I definitely recommend that you try their Philly cheese steaks!

I want to thank Capriotti’s District Manager for taking such good care of me. After my review, I called up and spoke with the DM and he resolved the issue at hand. The Store Manager that I was talking about has since parted ways with the company. The new Store Manager is amazing! Lianna. if you’re reading this. kudos to you and congrats on making manager! So the food. the food here has always been on point. But out of everything this place makes the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches around these parts. It’s hard to find places in San Diego that compare. Everything I’ve tried here from the Bobbie, to the Philly, to the plain old Turkey Sandwich are all amazing. They use the best ingredients and they’re always fresh. The customer service here rocks. I also love that Capriotti’s takes care of it’s Unilocalers with Check-In treats, as well as loyalty cards(for non Unilocalers as well). Great company, Great service, and all around awesome.

My Beloved and I used a 12 for 20 Groupon at Capriotti’s for dinner recently. We shared three sandwiches: a Cheese Steak(add cole slaw), a Homemade Turkey sub, and a Bobbie(no stuffing). I particularly enjoyed the Bobbie, a «Thanksgiving» sandwich like the ones I make on Black Friday… and Saturday and Sunday, and so on. All three sandwiches were fresh and tasty, and had the size and heft of food we’d make at home, if only we weren’t worn out from a week of working hard. The kids working the counter were courteous and quick to make helpful suggestions about their products, and they keep the restaurant clean. It’s nice to meet food service workers who aren’t secretly embarrassed by their jobs. The best subs in town? Nope, but way better than the food touted by that guy who lost all that weight. Plus, the Groupon — a frequent offer from Capriotti’s — brings the price down into the«cheap» range. We consider Capriotti’s a legit fallback when neither of us wants to decide what’s for dinner.

My cousin told me about this place a while back and I just came in today with my boyfriend. We shared the 20 inch«Capastrami» by far the best warm sandwich ever. The 20 inch sandwich, chips, and a large soda all under 20.00. Tori the hostess is a sweetheart. Will definitely be a regular here.

Got the roast beef 9″. Was overall good filling sandwich. Personally thought the roast beef was a little dry. But thought the flavor of the beef was good. If a little more moist I think the roast beef would’ve been amazing. A little pricey for a sub to be honest. But it’s to be expected. Cleanliness and service were both great. Parking was quite rough around lunch time.

The Bobbie sandwich is a seriously addictive substance. I was skeptical at first, but one bite gets you hooked. Their medium sized sandwich is plenty large enough for two lunches, which makes it an extra great deal! I tried their cheesesteak once, which was good, but it’s no match for the Bobbie!(I’m always worried one day I’ll accidentally order the Boobie, it’s bound to happen) The service has been fast and friendly every time I’ve stopped in here :) Very glad this place opened up, as there are surprisingly few quality fast dining options close to the SDSU campus. 4.0 is great, but their parking situation isn’t, so this place is much more convenient and at a better price.

Great place to get a sub this place has great everyday deals. The meat taste fresh and the subs are really really BIG. A small sub is 9 inches and the average price for a small sub is only $ 5.50. If you like subs this is definitely a must stop for you.

I’ve tried out Capriotti’s sandwich shop a couple times, I’ve been to this one and the one in Mission Valley. Their sandwiches are really decent, especially for the price. I always get the turkey sandwich, because I love the turkey breast they put in it, along with the stuffing. I’m not a big fan of the cranberry sauce, so I usually omit it. I go for a hot turkey sandwich with stuffing and cheese, not too healthy of a combo but really freaking good. Their bread is fresh and tastes great when its warmed up. The ingredients they use taste quality too, a big difference from other sandwich chains. I don’t visit Capriotti’s too much, but they never let me down when I do happen to wander in, its definitely worth a visit. This location’s staff is pretty slow with orders, but they do a damn good job of making sandwiches as far as portion sizes and ratios of meat. They are extremely friendly as well, and very warm welcoming when you walk in. Parking here is kinda crappy, as it shares a lot with Big 5 and a tea place.

I’m a fan! Hit the College Area location last week. It was so good I had to come back again the next day and try another sandwich– glad I did! This place is a lot like Jersey Mike’s and Subway in that they do soup and sandwiches and that’s about it. But they are def doing it right. WHENYOUGO– the chesse steaks are the go to item here. Great bread, perfectly cooked steak, sweet and hot peppers and mushrooms.(I may have to back again today). My other sandwich was the Capastrami. I wasn’t as big a fan of their pastrami as I was the steak, but it is decent– a little salty(I know pastrami is salty, but this was a little overf the top). Service at the register was a little slow as well– they do need to figure out phone coupons. At the higher end of the sandwich price spectrum as well. A 20″ steak ran $ 13.99. All in all it’s a good lunch experience and will be in my regular sandwich rotoaion from now on!

This review is strickly off the BOBBIE sandwich. I was at Costco on Saturday, minding my own business trying to buy stuff for a party and of course I had to sample some of the products, right? Food, energy drinks, appetizers… Then I see a sign«Capriotti’s» It put on a big smile because I just recently bookmarked this bad boy and was waiting to do a test run! When I walked over the guys politely said«Hello Ms. Would you like to try our Bobbie»?? HELLYA!!! It was everything I wanted it to be and more! The bread, turkey meat and stuffing were full of flavor and not dry at all. The cranberry was like the cherry on top! ONLYPROBLEM: ITWASONLY A SAMPLE!!! So I completed my costco trip. And headed straight there to try the real deal! I went to the one off college. Manager was super nice even though it was really busy honored my free chips with check in and hooked me up with the best sandwich I have had in awhile! Can’t wait to try something new next time!

Very impressed. We have a contender for«Best Cheesesteak in San Diego». I woke up this morning craving a sandwich of some sorts. The cheesesteak is always a winner. When you get a good, proper cheesesteak, all is right in the World. I received such a sandwich today. I signed up for their Eclub thing and they give you a coupon right away for a free upgrade from a 9 inch to a 12 inch($ 2.00 difference in price). I placed my order for a 12 inch cheesesteak with onions and sweet peppers and a large drink. Total after the coupon came out to just over $ 10.00. Took a seat and waited for my food. A few minutes later they called my name and delivered my sandwich. I know its probably psychological but for whatever reason whenever a sandwich shop wraps their stuff in butcher paper it seems more legit to me. My butcher paper wrapped sandwich was handed over and was about to be devoured. I opened this sandwich and instantly knew it was going to be great! The bread they use is similar(it may actually be) to an Amoroso Roll. It was soft yet sturdy and I think they throw this on the grill for a minute because the inside of it had a slight toasted texture to it. They melt the cheese in with the meat so you get liquidy molten cheese in every bite. The onions and sweet peppers were perfectly soft and complimented the meat nicely. I would have been fine if they added a bit more onions and peppers in but even with the amount included, it still complimented the sandwich nicely. The actual steak was delicious. It was hacked into small pieces, seasoned well and was very very good. I will definitely be back soon enough. This is definitely the best«chain» cheesesteak out there. Way better than Jersey Mikes, Subway, Steak Escape etc etc. The combo of perfect bread, tons of cheese, great meat and really good peppers/onions make this one of the best cheeseteaks I have had in San Diego. Prices are good for what you get. The only thing I would change is their drink distributor(Pepsi)…ha!
