I am here for the first time. I had the breakfast bagel and I loved it! It’s really good, simple. fresh and all you need in a bagel. they use fresh eggs, not that liquid stuff. The two women working there are super nice. Will come back to try more!

I noticed this place as I was walking by. There aren’t that many creperies around and less that are good. The ones I’ve seen in San Diego charge a fortune for a blah crêpe. The crêpe here was great for a reasonable price. I got the banana and Nutella crêpe which was huge and cooked perfectly. Lots of flavor and filling. They have sweet and savory and I’ll be back to try them all. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. It’s in the food court just across from the post office in mission valley mall.

Today is Black Friday and Starbucks is packed, so I decided to give this little gem a try. The coffee is surprisingly good, especially for a food court venue and the prices are great. I think they specialize in smoothies, but I’d suggest them for anyone looking for a Starbucks alternative. The beans are good– like boutique hipster coffee joint good, the staff are friendly and you can choose seating near the café, in the general food court area or outside in the open air. I like my options at this place and will definitely be coming here again!

3.5 stars for me This mall’s food court is my least favorite… My man wanted a smoothie but Jamba Juice was no where near by, so we decided to try this little café out. We ordered a acai reloaded with protein. They ran out of bobas… No big deal. Our drink was not that great, tasted okay. It wasn’t bad either.

Loved the food, but the smoothie I got was pretty much undrinkable. It was peach, pineapple, and banana. The fruit in it tasted really unripe. Definitely not worth their ridiculously high prices. I probably will go back, but just for food. The breakfast sandwich was actually pretty yummy.

I have been looking for a yummy Mexican Mocha that is chilled and not warm like most places insist on. I was super delighted that I was able to enjoy my Mexican mocha on ice! I will definitely go back again and order this yummy treat. The crepes were huge too, so this is a place I would try again. As for customer service, I thought the short lady was nice :) my daughter went über the counter(unbeknownst to me) and instead of scolding her or me about it, she smiled and asked if my daughter was going to work… or something along those effects :)

The older lady that works there maybe in her 50s who is very petit, she needs to work on some customer service skills. I went there on a Saturday evening around 835, I was looking at the menu for a good 2minutes because it was my first time there, and the old lady said they will be. closing in 5 minutes so I need to order quick, so I ordered first thing I saw on the menu which was«Turky and Spinach crêpe’. When i told her that she made a face like she wished i didn’t order it because she just finished up putting everything away. Even my husband was like gee she’s super rude. If she didn’t want my business why didn’t she say so? I would have been ok with it. Maybe it was too late to order since they close at 9?(even if it was only 835), but why didn’t she tell me that instead of making me feel like I’ve done something wrong. Anyways the crêpe tasted bad, the turky inside was still cold. I can tell that they made it in a hurry. Overall the service and the food sucked. I never want to go back there.

Staff is friendly and they make the best crepes! My favorite is the classic with Nutella and bananas! Yumm! They also have an espresso machine! Try their mexican mocha… It’s to die for! With lots of whip cream of course!!!

Well I guess I am the only fatty here, because I came to try the crepes. I got the Vietnamese crêpe and it was the best crêpe I ever had in my life: honey, cinnamon, and whipped cream. Very good. Will be coming back!

Honestly I have yet to find a place other than Juice it Up that has mastered acai, I’ve come to this place a couple of times and they never disappoint. I always go for the acai smoothie and they are always quick and really friendly. Plus they have stamp cards(which are always nice). The price isn’t half bad. One of the only places that uses real acai in their smoothie, no powder stuff or just juice Love this place!

Their Acai bowl was terrible. The bananas were mushy and the Acai part was bland. I ate the strawberries and granola and thur the rest away. I spent 7 bucks and it was horrible.

We asked for Chai latte. they charged for hot water dip and asked for extra 2 dollar for milk. Ideally chai latte is half milk and half tea …

In my quest to find the best Tostilocos in San Diego, I ventured out to the Mission Valley mall to try out Café Solei’s version. I had a little difficulty finding this place. Café Solei is located next to Tilted Kilt and right across from Macy’s in a small stand alone shop in the middle of the walking aisles. Nothing to brag about Café Solei. It’s basically a café with 4 tables and 8 chairs. Café sells smoothies, coffee, pastries, baked goods, and the one I traveled for: Tohs-tee-loh-kohs. I just love saying this Mexican treat of a meal. Café Solei’s Tostilocos has the same ingredients as my first foray devouring La Mixteca’s version. The chips were Salsa Verde Tostitos, it had cucumber chunks, jicama chunks, stingy amount of pork strips also known as cueritas, Japanese peanuts, Chamoy and hot sauce. The reason I drove out to Solei was because one of the Unilocal reviews stated that their Tostilocos had pickled jalapenos. When I asked the kind lady if her Tostilocos had jalapenos, she replied No. Oh oh, not off to a good start. When this nice lady brought out my Tostilocos, it was just the Tostitos bag filled with what I so craved. This differs than La Mixteca because LM places the bag inside a styro to hold the massive amount of ingredients in its version. After I took my first bite of Solei’s version, I instantly knew that I had not yet found San Diego’s best Tostilocos. The peanuts I bit into were stale. There were minimal pork strips. I had to get up from my meal to ask the nice lady to add more chamoy and hot sauce. Oh well. I will continue to find the best that San Diego has to offer with regards to Tostilocos. Although I was disappointed, Solei gets 2 stars for the nice lady behind the counter and being one of the few places that sells Tostilocos. La Mixteca is still my #1 choice for this outstanding, mouth watering meal. Tonight I think I’m taking my family to La Mixteca to verify if its Tostilocos is the best so far. Any excuse to eat Tostilocos.

How do you pronounce it ah sigh EEEE… ah sigh… ah sigh ye? Who really knows, I’ve said it every which way and I still get wierd looks from my daughter. I try to get an acai bowl as often as I can because I’ve become an acai addict so after a nice workout at 24 Hour Fitness Mission Valley Mall, I found the unmistakenable acai poster and quickly ordered one. It came in a cup rather than a bowl but they also sprinkled granola on the bottom and top… very peculiar to me at the time but I soon appreciated as I walked to my car and was able to drive along and sip on my acai… cup/bowl. They don’t put the most fruit in it but it’s super conveniant after a workout or a busy day of shopping.
