I had a good experience and my bagel Better Bacon Cheddar on an Everything Bagel was yummy. The dark roast coffee was good too.

Fast, fresh, and delicious! I surpass this area often and I can honestly recommend place for breakfast on the go or in general. I can’t imagine how they handle trafficking during busy hours, but I doubt they disappoint. This place is doing great. If you like bagels, there’s is something for you here. Nice variety. Nice staff. Hint: If you like lox, give theirs a try.

I remember Bruegger’s Bagels when I visited my sister in graduate school in Missouri. They were always good, way better than Einstein Bagels. I remembered they were in PB. and viola, I needed to buy a dozen to bring home. I don’t understand why bagels shops don’t have a slicing machine. Not the employees fault, but I wasn’t about to ask her to slice all my bagels when there was a line behind me. The associate did offer freezer bags on my to-go offer. When I’m in the area, I’ll stop in!

Breuggers is by far the best bagel chain around! Unfortunately the service is terrible for most people which is why the reviews are bad. It looks like they hired all illegal immigrants who can barely speak English. If they got a younger crew of workers this would be a 5 star place.

Bruegger’s is our favorite bagel place in San Diego. The bagels are chewy and tasty. My one complaint is that there are too many air pockets, sometimes large ones, in the bagels. There is no excuse for that. This PB branch at 1886 Garnet Ave has a great service, with attentive, friendly and efficient staff.

Dang this place is addicting. I get the Ham, Egg & Cheese on an Everything Bagel. OMG! I get an orange juice with it and it’s the perfect portion in the mornings to keep you going until lunch. The best everything bagels anywhere. I sometimes get a bag of them to go and have them plain during my busy day. Go try what I get. You will like!

I really wish companies would provide better customer service classes. I went to pick up fresh bagels, but they were out of plain at that time — later in the day, okay whatever — but found a package of their day-old bagels; I picked up a tub of cream cheese. The server didn’t even look at me, tell me how much the total was or anything, just rang it up and handed me change. You would never call it rude, but it was by no means friendly. Whatever, I really look forward to a high-end — NY — bagel company…

Not my favorite… not terrible. I REALLY think PB/Clairemont could use a top-of-the-line bagel shop… but until then, Bruegger’s can work in a pinch. The few times I have been, I have been confused by the ordering/paying process(and I usually find my ordering/paying abilities to be at threat-level GENIUS). And the bagels are just not amazing, like I said. Maybe they need to be bigger? Fresher? I’m not sure what it is… just something needs to be different. I do like that they have a parking lot, especially for its PB location. I know I’ll be back… and have the same mixed feelings again.

I’ve been here several times and they never fail to disappoint. I definitely recommend Einstein Bros over this place. The bagels are very tough and chewy when toasted, workers always seem rushed&annoyed, and they don’t even provide knives to spread cream cheese on their bagels.

Me: «Everything bagel, toasted, with jalapeño cream cheese, please.» Server: «okay, plain bagel with plain cream cheese» Me: «no, jalapeño cream cheese» Server: «oh, right! Jalapeño cream cheese.» Bagel comes out soggy with PLAINCREAMCHEESE. I ask for a new one with jalapeño cream cheese and she bring me a new one with EXTRA jalapeño cream cheese(an apologetic gesture). She might have been stoned, in which I can forgive her… But now I’m scraping the overload of cream cheese off of my bagel and this is not what I was hoping for to satisfy my bagel-y cravings I would choose Turquoise Café on Cass next time I get this urge.

The personality of the staff including the manager will suck the happiness right out of you and make your bagel taste bad… Would it kill them to smile? No Bueno!

This place only hires Mexicans. They speak Spanish behind the counter, and don’t seem to give much of a crap about service. Why do they only hire Mexicans is the real question??? There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood that could use a job. I guess they are saving a lot of money by hiring illegals? And the food sucks too. Nothing like microwaved eggs and bacon… They won’t be getting my business any more.

Came in today for a nova lox sandwich… So she only puts cream cheese on half the bagel. I ask if she can make it open face with cream cheese on both sides… So she puts a Dot and I mean dot of cream cheese on the other half. I pay the $ 8 for the sandwich and end up asking for more cream cheese. Needless to say, it took so long by the time I eat the thing it doesn’t even taste toasted and was so chewy my jaw nearly cramped with each bite. And there are Tons of flies Everywhere so the whole time they are prepping your food you’re hoping a fly doesn’t land on your meal before you even get to it. It was The Nastiest bagel sandwich I’ve ever had. Chewy undercooked bagel, cream cheese that looked on the brink of being curdled and salmon that tasted a little more fishy then it should. At this point if you want a good bagel, you Need to leave PB. Two thumbs down for this place.

When I get sick and tired of yogurt and fruit for breakfast(trying to eat healthier!), my go-to cheat breakfast is to come to this Bruegger’s location and get an everything bagel, toasted, with cream cheese, tomato and onion. Not sure how I came up with that combo, but it’s delicious. I have never had an «authentic» bagel in New Yawk, and I really don’t care. What Bruegger’s calls an «everything bagel» tastes damn good to me. I ding this place a couple stars for the service. Today was the icing on the cake. Typically, once I put my order in at the counter, I am told to go on ahead to the register to pay while my sandwich is being assembled. Today, the line was so long to the register, I did not move, and I watched as the very friendly Bruegger’s sandwich consultant put the two tiniest pieces of tomato inside my bagel sandwich. Seriously, each piece was about the size of a quarter, and maybe a third of the surface area was covered. She then grabbed a few tiny bits of red onion and sprinkled those on. Maybe half the surface area was now covered. I thought to myself, «There is no effin’ way she thinks this is good enough to serve». Well, she apparently did because she topped the other half of the bagel on and reached for some wax paper. «Excuse me», I said to her, «Would you please put in a couple more pieces?» She replied, «You want more onion?» I said, «I want more tomato and onion. Those are the tiniest pieces I’ve ever seen.» She at least smiled and put more veggies in, but I was dumbfounded for a bit. Who would I get mad at if I didn’t catch her doing that? I could only imagine my reaction if I had made it all the way back to work and then opened up such a pathetic bagel sandwich. Is she to blame? Nah, she was probably told by some pin-head manager that no matter what the size, only two pieces of tomato go into a sandwich. Heck, the manager may not even be the one to blame, but some corporate bean-counter. Whoever it is, if you are going to charge me extra for tomato and onion, you had better put some tomato and onion in the friggin’ sandwich. I cannot imagine that another piece of tomato blows the profit margin on this deal.

I really wish I had liked the bagels a bit more here, but I was sad when I started eating my jalapeño bagel. It didn’t have much of a taste to it, and usually, I am in tears because of the heat of a jalapeño bagel. It felt like I was biting into plastic. I wish I had enjoyed it more since this place is so close to my home, but as an avid bagel lover, I was sadly disappointed. I probably would have been less disappointed if I had paid less for this bagel. I probably won’t come back since the prices were so steep and I could definitely do better by buying bagels and cream cheese from Trader Joe’s down the street. Unless someone can honestly tell me I had a bad bagel out of the bunch, I’ll have to continue my hunt for a good jalapeño bagel in PB(when I’m too lazy to make my own breakfast, of course)

Rude service. My bagel was stale and there was literally a chunk of cream cheese in the middle of the bagel on one side only. Said they had to charge extra for more. It was ridiculous

I stopped here for lunch today. We ordered the salmon bagels, for around $ 7.50. First of all the lady spoke very little English which is frustrating when you’re trying to explain what you want on your food/sandwich. Second, while she’s making them I notice she only added cream cheese to the bottom half. I watched to see and as she was about to close it I said«aren’t you putting cream cheese on the other half of the bagel» and she says«no, that costs extra»?!? Wtf? I have never heard of this! Extra charge for cheese on both sides of a bagel? Crazy… Also when she added the lox it was a tiny tiny portion, half or quarter of what most bagel places use. So $ 22 for 2 lox&2 small drinks, hefty considering. We sit down to eat and I could barely chew the damn thing! It was so hard and stale I barely could eat it. I will not be back.

Definitely not a NY bagel, but the closest you will get in San Diego. The prices are good for a bagel with butter, pricey for the bacon egg and cheese which doesn’t even seem like a real egg. The coffee is good and has flavored creamer.

After reading the other reviews am thinking they may have had a shake up because I had an AWESOME experience — the gentleman who took my order was very accommodating — I ordered 20 chocolate chip cookies and he made them fresh! They were warm when I picked them up — wait, that is not the best part, since I prepaid over the phone for them and having two little ones — he brought them to me outside when I arrived! I highly recommend giving this place a chance!

I love bagels and have come to this location numerous times. It is your average bagel experience most of the time. Today however was a bit different. I ordered an everything bagel with regular cream cheese and a pumpkin coffee. I did not eat at the store, but at my final destination. My first bite of bagel I thought it tasted a bit different, but I was too hungry to stop eating. Halfway through I realized that my cream cheese was sour. Once I figured that out I could not eat another bite of my bagel. At least the coffee was good.
