I like the fact that the service is real quick; the food comes out fast and I did come on a busy day as well. So that’s great! Food was good too. I got the vermicelli bowl with shrimp and bbq pork, the bbq pork tasted amazing!

When I’m in need for some banh canh to soothe the soul, I come to this place. Service is quick and you can get certain dishes you can’t find at other Vietnamese places. When I’m in need for some comfort Vietnamese food near my location, this is one of the places I like to be.

I feel like at home when I come to Bolsa. Even though I eat there once a month or maybe even less they know what I want and how I want it. They greet me with big smiles«long time no see» and bring me what I always order. Chicken Phở is the best I have ever eaten and veggies always fresh, spring rolls — yum… and everyone is very nice.

Just had a quick lunch there. Very good! Interior is nice, clean, and provides a comfortable atmosphere for dining in. The service was very friendly and efficient — speedy. Everyone is nice and cordial and makes you feel welcome. The grilled pork chop with rice and steamed egg. Perfect. However, the outstanding piece was the chicken broth they served with the meal. The absolute BEST chicken broth I have ever had in my life. When I mentioned this to the server, she sent the(owner?) cook out to the table to tell me how she gets it so perfect. She even pointed to an article on the wall… something published locally about her recipe for chicken soup/phở. She, of course, urged me to try the soup next time and I assured her that I would. I’m already trying to figure out how I can squeeze the deliciousness into my Sunday Easter dinner. It’s THAT good! I’ll be back soon. Alex

When the crêpe craving hits, there’s only one thing you can do — give in. And I’m not talking french crepes, with their flappy little bits and cream fillings, I want that Vietnamese magic. Gimme that orange, crispy-crackly shell, filled with pork or shrimps or things. Bolsa is where it’s at for the crêpe needs. The service is on point and so are the noodles. Love the phở bowl. It’s just a shame they’re so far from my house, but maybe that’s a good thing — because moderation.

Amazing food! I usually get the phở or egg noodles when I come here. The egg rolls and spring rolls are very good as well. Good for big parties as well. Coffee is okay, not very strong, was very weak.

Customer service is APlus. Right when you come in, you can feel the phở is in the air. We ordered spring rolls and it was refreshing. I like to eat mine plain but I occasionally try it with peanut sauce to see if theirs is any better. We then ordered phở with egg noodles because we like it that way better. Broth was delish and it’s not salty at all. Last we ordered bon bue hue(sorry if I spelled it wrong) flavor was on point and literally made my expectations. 1 less stars because they charged us extra for egg noodles.

It was my first visit here at this restaurant. This place is located in a busy shopping center next to Wells Fargo off of Mira Mesa Blvd. and Black Mtn. Rd. on the first floor. I walked in the restaurant shocked that this place was surprisingly clean and this restaurant did not have the typical Phở smell that sticks on to your clothes. Which in my book, is a major plus. This location accepted cash and credit/debit if you spend over $ 10.00. This place is kid/toddler friendly. The servers were all polite and very welcoming. My husband ordered the shrimp and shredded pork spring rolls with the peanut sauce, grilled pork chops rice plate and I ordered the deep fried noodles with beef and vegetables. They were all delicious! The pork chops were thin and moist and it had a good flavor to it. The noodle dish I ordered was tasty as well. If you order the deep fried noodles, make sure to mix the whole plate so that you can evenly disperse the tasty sauce throughout the whole dish. Let me just add that the peanut sauce is really delicious at this location. If you would like to spice it up, fill free to add a bit of the red chili that is located at the end of your table. I plan to come back in the future to try their bowl of soup and other rice dishes.

I miss vietnamese food. It’s been so hard finding good food here. Glad I found this place. Honestly, it’s a bit pricy compared to other places I’ve gone to, but the food here is really good. I got the phở ap chao(stir fry noodles) and my boyfriend got the mi xao don(crispy stir fry noodles). Both were amazing. I really miss vietnamese noodles. I definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu. Service was like any other vietnamese restaurant.

My family is a regular here at Bolsa and the owner is super nice. I rarely go out for Vietnamese food since I get a lot of home cooking from various family dinners so this is one of the few places I enjoy. They have a pretty extensive menu, but my two favorite items from them is the bun bo hue and the hu tieu xao ap chao thap cam(combination stir fried rice noodles). My mom actually orders a huge pot of their bun bo hue for parties sometimes and the broth is always savory with the perfect amount of kick. I really like their hu tieu xao for the sauce. This dish is a bit similar to drunken noodles or pad see ew, but with a clearer, lighter sauce. Bolsa happens to the sauce perfectly with it being just the right amount of thickness(some places make it too watery or too salty). They also serve bun cha ha noi(which is a ha noi style rice noodle dish with bbq meat and fish sauce) that I see rarely served in most Vietnamese places in San Diego so definitely give that a try, but only if you are okay with the pungent fish sauce taste and smell.(Tip: don’t spill this on your clothes!)

We came back here for the phở ap chao don(deep fried phở). Omg it was so good. Better than San Jose and Westminster. I hope they don’t change chefs ever. I’m hoping to try other things on the menu, but I don’t think I can stop ordering the ap chao. Going twice in one week! I can’t stop thinking about it.

There’s a bunch of different dishes here, so there’s always something for someone to eat. However, I usually just go here for their Phở Ga(Chicken Phở). The broth is well balanced, doesn’t seem to be any MSG, plenty of chicken that’s perfectly cooked, and a good sized portion(I always get the large). The owner was the one who took our order and also served us. Waters were always filled and she came to check up on us to make sure everything was ok. I’ve never seen this place crowded, so finding a table shouldn’t be hard. Although I can’t speak for the lunch rush, but dinner should be fine.

They are the part of the few that do not use the square squeezed pancake like pork meet. They have thin slices and they grill it so sometimes you get some tasty charred edges on the meet. Taste awesome! I’m never disappointed with their Bun Thit Nung(how ever it’s spelled). It’s good! Owners are very friendly and family oriented group.

My favorite thing here is the ca kho tho! This is a small little restaurant hidden in the heart of Mira Mesa. Fish smothered in some time of sauce in a clay pot. I could come here and eat it everyday! The service is great. The people here are very friendly. This is in the same parking lot next to Tapioca Heaven and by Arby’s.

REALLY good bun and great cha gio(Vietnamese eggrolls — the real ones with rice paper). Prices are competitive, service is great, and parking is pretty good, too. This is our go-to Vietnamese restaurant in the area.

This Phở place located in the Tapoica Heaven plaza in Mira Mesa tastes like it has the least MSG in their phở compared to other Viet places like Phở Cow Cali and Phở Ca Dao. I don’t feel sick after eating their food. Service is fast. Everyone is friendly.(MUSTS for phở restaurants). They never take longer than 10mins to bring out all the food. Water is always filled to the rim. Cheap. Cannot go wrong!

Yesterday’s weather called for phở. As it was super cold, the phở line at phở cow cali was out the door as well as othee phở places in mira mesa. My bf and I went to Bolsa to try it out(though I have been here 4 years ago but don’t really remember the experience). We walked through the door and there was no wait at all. They seated us right when we entered. The service is fast and great. The lady who took our order is super nice. The size portion is a little bit smaller than other phở places but that didn’t really phase me. I really liked the phở broth, it’s just as good phở cow cali across the street with no wait. We ordered the rare steak on the outside and they were thinly cut which we both liked because it was easier to eat. If you order sate with your meat, their sate is the best in my opinion.

I don’t come here too often and haven’t found a dish that really stood out until now. I was told that they probably have the best bun cha Hanoi in San Diego. I gave the dish a try and I have to agree that this establishment makes a sold bun cha. My only complaint is that there are not enough of the patties and mostly grilled pork. The dish’s nuoc mam was good and it came with plenty of herbs. I would come back for this very dish. I also had the che ba mau(3 color dessert). The che was just okay, not horrible, but not good either. The banh lot(green portion of the dessert) was a bit tough/hard for my taste. Maybe the banh lot was old or sitting around too long? I would not order this again. I found the service to be good, nothing great. However, they are very fast and efficient.

Went to this place in search of some hu tieu. This was the only place that I found on Unilocal that had hu tieu on the menu so I decided to check it out. The restaurant itself is lovely. Restaurant seemed like it was a family owned business which I love. As I walked in, this lady asked how I’m doing and was very nice to me. The hu tieu itself is not my favorite. They didn’t have xiu mai on the menu which is what I usually eat with hu tieu. Their sauce is a bit on the sweeter side. The side soup is pretty good though.

Ok I’m giving this place mad props for making something for us that is OFF the menu. My friends decided that we were on the hunt for a special kind of phở — PHOGAHKHO(Viet Dry Chicken Noodle). First of all, it’s not in the menu. The friends described what it was to our server and she walked off and said«I do it…» Next thing we know, 4 bowls came out with exactly what we ordered. Basically, I describe it as reverse phở. It’s the phở noodles and the broth on the side. Not sure if I can taste a difference between this version and regular phở, but it was pretty good. Kinda like ramen. I had a mung bean smoothie and it was OK. I wouldn’t order it again. I didn’t care for the egg rolls so much since i thought it was a little more soggier than I’m accustomed to. The owner of Bolsa is super cool. She was the one serving the tables and helping customers. She even took lots of pics of our group. Kudos for going the extra mile for our special request!
