This is a good sandwhich shop for being a chain. I always get the turkado which seems healthy if you don’t get mayo. There is a nice layer of avocado, lettuce and tomato and good heaping of turkey. It’s a pretty big sandwhich. Don’t forget their special sauce which is kind of sweet. They also have wraps which I have not tried. The actual restaurant seems like a cool place to chill with friends. They have a small bar with beers on tap. There is an outdoor seating area with cool lights which would be nice to sit on a summer night.

Oh Board and Brew. Thank you for having nice brews on tap at a very reasonable price. It’s fun to come here and order a great beer in a casual environment. Love the quesadilla when you don’t want to have a large sandwich. What’s also nice is that very spicy hot sauce that you can dip that quesadilla in. Lots of seating. Can sometimes be a squeeze on parking.

Now that’s a sandwich. You’ve got your healthy portion of prime turkey breast. Add some beautiful avocado. Finish it up with finely shopped lettuce — the good kind. And what you got is genius in every bite. I asked for«hold the mayo,» since I’m trying to watch my waistline, but that’s up to you. The staff is genuinely friendly and exact on their execution of crafting your meals. The atmosphere is beachy and nice. I wash it all down with a few refills of diet soda, lots of ice. It’s a 5 star experience.

Great food choices, and delicious food. I had the beef dip(yum). Looking forward to going back to try more sandwiches. The line goes pretty fast, even at busy lunch time.

I’ve visited this place twice within a week and let me tell you I am absolutely hooked on their Turkado sandwhich! The size of the sandwhich is very large and they really hook you up with the avocado(who doesn’t love avocado?). Did I mention they have a wide range of craft beers to choose from? I forgot the name of mines but I asked the gentlemen at the counter to pour me a sweet beer and it was some type of amber blonde beer that really paired up well with my turkado sandwhich. Back to the turkado sandwhich… they have this special house sweet and sour sauce that goes with it and I swear it makes this yummu sandwhich even 10x more magical! My second time visiting this location, I got the turkado sandwhich(again.of course!!!) and I decided to add a cookie to the order(just to seal the deal before getting tallied up!). Oh goodness, I love chocolate chip cookies and the ones they have here was so soft and chewy(it literally felt like Heaven in my mouth). Next time I come back I’m getting 5 cookies all for myself! They even wrapped my single cookie in an alluminum foil. I love the food and service here!

3 stars for food — 4 stars for ambiance — 3.5 star review My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try Board & Brew for a while now as it has such good reviews. It is a sandwich shop and bar. The sandwiches were definitely good, about as good as one can make a sandwich, but that is just it. A simple sandwich can only be so good, hah. I ordered the Vegie Supreme and was quite happy with it. Though I do like cucumbers, I usually only like them in a salad so I wasn’t sure how they would taste on a sandwich. They really made this veggie sandwich different than others I have had and sort of seemed like the«meat» of the sandwich. It also included cheddar and jack cheese, mayo, onions, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, avocado and squaw bread. If I come here again I’ll likely substitute the squaw bread for a french roll and ask for the avocado on the side so that I can save the second half of my sandwich for later. I appreciate that they douse the sandwich in avocado and that the sandwich is so big, but day old avocado is gross and I had to throw away half of my sandwich that I couldn’t finish in one sitting! The bar with TV’s playing the football game is a nice touch. That along with the beachy vibe really makes it feel like a San Diego shop and I enjoy ambiance like that.

I’ve been here multiple times but never had a chance to thoroughly review this place. Personally, Board & Brew’s freshness in ingredients reminds me of Chipotle, but in a sandwich form. I love their sandwiches because the veggies and meats they use always taste fresh and crisp. If you love cream cheese, go for their California Delight! My mom loves anything fish and said their Tub O’Tuna was fantastic. Brother got the Turkey Club and said it tasted great with their secret sauce. Speaking of… their secret sauce is a slightly sweet and savory sauce that complements their sandwiches. Most people rave about it but I personally like the taste of a clean sandwich without too much sauce. Whatever your preference is, feel free to ask for their secret sauce when you receive your order as it’s completely free! It feels like whatever you order here, you can’t go wrong. I’m looking forward to my next visit! Going through their photos is already making me crave a Turkado sandwich…

Finally got to try this place the other day and it did not disappoint. We ordered Turkado but my fiancé added bacon to his sandwich. Sandwich is big and filling. I love it. I love how they pack on everything as any sandwich should be :) I tried their special sauce. To me, it’s on the sweet side but I also try their hot sauce so combine the two together, it’s not bad. We will be back to try more sandwiches on the menu!!!

YUM!!! My son begged me to take him here as him and his friends have gone so I broke down and took him. Son got Turkey Club which was so good, the turkey meat they use is top notch and the bread is fresh. I got Tom’s Choice, it was good but roast beef can be hit or miss. I liked it but loved the Turkey Club more. Absolutely delicious! Super clean, sandwiches are amazing, they have tvs with sports on & beer. Staff was really friendly & had suggestions for us. Décor is cool & atmosphere is laid back. Good for everyone. Families,. Love it, will become a favorite local place.

Wether you’re craving for a legit sandwich, hungry after a hike or workout, this place is the spot! You’ll probably feel full after the first half of your sandwich and contemplate about the next but that’s okay, you’ll some how finish it or wrap it up and save it, haha. I can’t pin point the best sandwich since they’re all pretty good, it just depends on what you’re in the mood for. But if you’re new to this place, Tom’s choice is a good first thing to try. They’ll give you a good amount of roasted beef and turkey! Along with their secret sauce that they’re always willing to offer! 1 isn’t enough, btw lol. It may seem weird but their secret sauce works with any sandwich! If you aren’t in the mood for a sandwich, the wrap they have is also good. It’s called the Baja Wrap and there’s chicken, grilled onions, avocado, jack cheese, jalapeño, tomato all in a spinach wrap. Simple but good!

The place is a bit small but the sandwiches are great. I wanted to eat there but there was no seats left and it was raining. I took my vegi supreme to go and it was amazing and so is the orange sauce they have is to die for

Once again, Board & Brew does not disappoint. I feel like they have a great selection of beer(but I’m not a beer-drinker so I’m not sure if they have good beer). Their sandwiches are amazing and I’d rather come here than Jersey Mike’s or Subway. I always order the Turkey Club without cheese but I have been told that the other sandwiches are equally as amazing! For under $ 8, I can get a nice sandwich with delicious orange-colored special sauce! Parking in this place is bountiful on a weekday but can be pretty tight on a weekend. I highly recommend!

The name says it all: quick service sandwich shop, plus beer. They offer plenty of options of hot and cold sandwiches. Nothing fancy or out of this world, but the huge portions will keep you full. I’m a fan of the turkado(turkey and avocado) – it’s a bit of a sodium bomb, but it’s a huge sandwich for only 7 bucks. They also have this orange-color, sweet sauce, which I initially thought was strange. But surprising it’s not bad to dip a little bit of your sandwich in it. Not much service is required at a place like this, but I have to say that cashiers are generally unfriendly and miserable. During my most recent visit, they forgot about my order. I went up to the cashier, who basically shrugged and did nothing. The guy expediting the orders from the kitchen(presumably, the manager) overheard our exchange and ordered the cashier to reprint the order because my order did in fact get lost. I appreciate that he took the initiative to solve the problem because the cashier clearly had no incentive to make sure I get my food. I recommend calling in your order ahead of time because they do get busy around lunch time.

Decided to try this restaurant per my little sister’s request. She said the sandwiches are the bomb and that the restaurant has a secret sauce, which is like a cherry added on the finished product. I have to agree with her. It is aaaah-mazing!!! I got turkado(I am the biggest fan of avocado). It’s like a turkey club with lots of avocado. It’s good but adding the sauce makes it really good. My hubby got baja chicken. He loves it especially with the sauce. Luckily I didn’t get that sandwich cuz it is spicy with jalapeños. My mother got Cesar chicken salad and it is a huge portion. It’s worth the money for the salad($ 7.50). Food here are not pricey. They add more ingredients and meats and they also use very high quality breads, comparing to subway or other sandwich places. For those who never been here, try turkado, baja chicken or chicken club sandwiches if you don’t know what to order. They are pretty popular. Next time I visit I’ll try beef dip sandwich.

A nice place for a quick sandwich! Pros: — Turkado Sandwich: tasty, really big(almost hard to fit in my mouth), and the orange sauce it comes with is yummy! — Cheap $ 3 – 6 beers — Outside patio seating where can bring dogs/watch the sunset — Can order split half sandwiches — Fast friendly service — Great for kids/groups/family Cons: — Might not have enough indoor seating if you go at peak hours!

This place doesn’t disappoint. I’ve been a few times and always leave very very satisfied. Service is always super friendly and fast and the quality of the sandwiches are spot on. I’ve gotten the Roast Beef Spicy and the Left Coast Pastrami. Both were DELICIOUS. The meat was tasty and tender and the bread was fresh. All toppings were perfect and not too many or too little. The au jus that comes with the Roast Beef Spicy was a perfect addition and had my mouth watering. The special sauce that they give you with your sandwich is a MUST! You will probably be headed back up to ask for more. They have a bar with a bunch of craft beers and a few beer specials usually. Haven’t had one yet but it looks like a great spot to grab a brew and watch the game on Sundays. I’ll definitely be back to try another sandwich again soon :)

Good food, good drinks, priced well… 2 thumbs up! Great sandwich spot in Scripps Ranch. Located in a small shopping center a bit hidden from the Mira Mesa Blvd… but always full of cars for many of the small and large shops here. Nice little break from the fastfood chains and the super busy areas, this shop has friendly staff and a decent eating and bar area. When I went here there were even a group of people with their laptops doing their fantasy football league. All the sandwiches sound good and looked good on Unilocal. The Specialty sandwiches were large enough to fill you up or good enough to split to for a light not so heavy meal. This is the route my hubby and I went with and split the Tuna Specialty Sandwich. If you like sweet and tangy sauce you have to try thier house sauce! Overall good experience… looking forward to trying out some of their other items!

Since my first encounter with board and brew, I’ve since been there at least 5 times in just a month. It’s my solid, go-to sandwich place. I recently discovered their salads, which are also amazing! Fresh cut lettuce, generous toppings, and delicious dressings. I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced, consistently good salad place, and of course it’s board and brew. Other sandwich and salad places have met their competition!

An awesome spot for post-work dinner and beer. They definitely cater to the craft brew crowd, as they have an excellent selection of local brews. The person who selects them is definitely on point. They change them often and host various pint nights and other specials. Remembering back, there is probably about 25 on tap. The restaurant is very contemporary, and falls in line with the rest of the gentrified plaza. The occupancy would be estimated to be about 50 patrons, but I believe you’ll most likely always be able to get a seat at the table or the bar. Turkado — The most popular sandwich here. Excellent combination of ingredients, all fresh. The avacado is appetizing and the whole sandwich is savory. Goes perfect with an IPA beer. Also, don’t sleep on adding a bag of potato chips for a nice crunch with your sandwich. Parking — Kind of drag with all the updates the plaza has been going through. Lots of nice little restaurants in the area, as well a trader joe’s and chuckee cheese. Good luck and pray to the parking fairies!

«All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I’m fine.» –Jeff Spicoli, Fast Times at Ridgemont High(1982) Board & Brew takes the sandwich shop, adds beer, and brings the skate/surf culture that embraces the laid back California vibe, dude. Good sandwiches and local craft beers are on the menu and they do take customer suggestions about what beer they should rotate into their tap list. The menu has some good stuff on there, plus snacks for the kiddos. Mini-me digs their grilled cheese sammich. I think the Left Coast Pastrami is my new fave with a few squeeze bottle hits of their sweet special sauce. The salad is a good size enough for sharing. We usually get the green salad with freshly sliced avocado. People are friendly and helpful. There’s also an adjacent patio for folks to bring their furbabies and enjoy their snacks al fresco, taking in another beautiful day in San Diego. Cheers!
