I had the short rib sandwich and it was really delicious! The fries here are the best and the guava beer refreshing! Great service, will be back!

What a yummy place! We got a flight of their four beers: red, nut, scout, stout… all of them to our surprise were good and drinkable. I recommend starting with the Spicy cauliflower, it was great! I had the duck confit sandwich. Very different but super yummy. Hubby had the special Prosciutto Burger and loved it. Fries cane out piping hot too! Great food, great beer! Very impressed with this hidden jewel!!!

This place wasn’t what I expected it to be. It’s very small when you walk in and it doesn’t look like your typical brewery. They have a very small patio in the back that is dog friendly. I ordered the founding fathers nut brown ale. This is very dark and tasted a bit bitter so it wasn’t really for me. I also ordered the chicken sandwich, which comes with roasted tomatoes, pesto and provolone. It was a bit dry and just tasted kind of bland to me. The customer service was good, but I just wasn’t really into the food or beer here.

I stopped into Legacy Brewing while in San Diego for a week. It’s a bit underwhelming coming in after hitting some of the big«craft» breweries which shall remain nameless. I had a few tasters, all of which were really good. I settled on the Hellfire IPA for a pint with my tacos. The Hellfire was just plain damn awesome! Great hop flavor and nose without the palate numbing bitterness that seems to be so trendy lately. I’m picking up a growler to take home. The kitchen is more or less visible from the bar area and seemed unimpressive. But the fish tacos that came out were like manna from heaven! They were some of the best damn fish tacos I’ve ever had. Keep up the great work Legacy Brewing! I’ll be back!

Set up a small happy hour here for my team, and was not disappointed. The location is tucked away in a nondescript strip mall off of Miramar, but the beer and food are worth the visit. They had a variety of house brewed offerings on tap, but my favorites were the Guava Beer and Hellfire IPA. Couple that with some amazing food(the Wings were excellent, as were the pork belly fries), and a nice little patio out back, and you have all the makings of a good time.

I ran into this place by of course searching Unilocal for a place to drink with the wife. We chose this place because it had some good ratings. We arrived and was surprised at how big the place was. We sat at the bar so we could be face to face with the service. We were greeted right away and were given menus. The food choices looked awesome! They have selections that are good for a quick snack and also good enough to impress a hot date! The beer is all brewed by the establishment and they also provide a few«guest» selections. Any beer snob will enjoy the selections… I guarantee it. I need to come back when I can eat more. For now, im out… Peace!

I went in and had That Guava Beer, it was totally worth it. I think this place is behind a Super China Buffet on Miramar. The parking lot smelled like dog biscuits but I digress. The bartender was super helpful but I was bummed that they had ran out of the peach wheat. The bartender gave us a little insight about the brews and said that beers like peach wheat appear on a whim of the brewer. It seems like there are a lot of concoctions here or better yet beer cocktails. There is a Hellfire Guava and growlers available. Food is also served but I just came in for the beer.

Legacy Brewing. good eats and good beer here. =]] I came by this afternoon and had the honor of meeting one of the co-owner’s: Brian, who was very welcoming! He was the perfect person to give an intro to what Legacy is all about from the food menu and the low down on the beers on tap, to the popular items, it was awesome how was very thorough and friendly. I had anticipated on trying a bunch of the food on the menu as the appetizers and entrees caught my eye, but got super stuffed from the«Pork Belly Fries»! I highly recommend ordering these here! They were full of flavor and plentiful… enough to share for two. I’m a ketchup lover however no need to with these fries! Fries were cooked to perfection and plenty of pork belly in the mix, you don’t feel jipped as they give a generous amount in the bowl. BEER: -*That Guava Beer*: tasted summery, a great light beer with very light hint of guava sweetness and light malts -*Czarface Russian Imperial Stout*: pleasant imperial stout The service was lacking towards the end as we got served by a lady who was more attentive to another table. We ordered another beer and then had to wait maybe 20+ minutes for it because she totally forgot that we had to remind her that we were still waiting on ours. It was a bummer watching her bring the other table beer after beer, but then what about ours? ;/ Overall, a decent spot to get some tasty food, grab some beers, and watch sports as there are plenty of TV’s around. =]

Was deciding between 4 or 5 stars. But I really wanted to come back and did, so it’s definitely a 5. Was served by Christine(Christina?) both times. She’s great and isn’t afraid to pull out some jokes. Or make you get another beer… Good beers. Hellfire IPA was definitely my favorite. I like the food. Greasy with rich flavors. The fries are perfectly crispy but were oversalted the 2nd time I came. Not by much, but a little. The place can be a bit difficult to find. Best is to navigate to the strip mall and park in the rear! Plenty of spaces and one of the entrances to Legacy actually faces the back lot. Worth a visit! I will expand the scope of the review on my next visit.

Legacy is located in a quaint strip mall. It’s a bit difficult to find since it felt like it was tucked away in the back and it doesn’t necessarily have a big storefront. I went on a Thursday afternoon and parking was a breeze. Once inside, the atmosphere is extremely relaxed. It’s a bit warm inside and you get a small hint of the hops in the air you normally get at breweries. You order at the front or seat yourself and wait for someone to attend you. There aren’t many people working there, or at least there weren’t that night, so I opted to order at the bar. Not a problem at all since I like to take a thorough look at the beer list on the wall. There is plenty of seating with seating at the bar as well. There is also an outside patio with a view of their brewing operations. Super cool! I won’t review the beers because there are so many to do so in limited space, but I will say they do meet San Diego standards. Would I come here again? Well it’s a bit out of the way unless you work near by, but yes, I would if I were ever in the neighborhood again.

Love this place! The service, food, beer and atmosphere, everything is great! Service: all the employees I have interacted with are total extroverts which I think is great for a brewery like this. They explain the beers without making you look like an idiot, they will recommend great food(it’s hard to go wrong when everything on the menu is delicious) and they never rush you. Food: everything I’ve eaten here has been comment worthy. The spicy burger is filled with so much flavor. As someone who likes spicy food, I would say it is a 7.5 on the spice scale so beware. The pretzel is so good, I think they said that they bake and deepfry it to get that awesome texture. I personally like the mustard it comes with better than the beer cheese sauce but you can form your own opinion. The short rib tacos were also worth trying, again, having lots of flavor. I’ve also tried the bacon covered dates which are good if you like both of those flavors. I’m not crazy about dates, but it was worth a try for me. The only think I wasn’t fond of was the arugula salad, it was just too salty for my tasting. Beer: I always go with the Hellfire IPA, I could drink it like water. The Guava beer is next best to my taste buds. I would definitely get a flight if it’s your first time here cause all the beers are worth trying. And if you check in, you can get a free taster! Atmosphere: I’ve been here with my lap top to get some work done(ask for the Wi-Fi password), I’ve been here to chill and have a beer outside, I’ve been here just for the food and I’ve been while there are tables that are half filled with kids. It’s really versatile and I recommend this place to anyone!

*** Remember to check-in on Unilocal for a free taster! *** This place looks small, quiet and harmless at first look. But, Legacy deals out some good food and some decent brews. Bf and I were making a mini brewery run and Legacy was on our route. We just finished up at Saint Archer and drove the 30 seconds to Legacy haha. We were looking for some food and beer and so Legacy was perfect. I got a pour of That Guava Beer and redeemed my free taster for a Hellfire IPA. Beer wasn’t too impressive but I liked how different their beers tasted from other breweries. We ordered some Pork Belly Cheese Fries and reaaaallllyyy enjoyed them. The pork belly was soo good. Fries were fried to perfection as well. The portion was big enough to be shared and didn’t leave us too hungry or too full. The other menu items look awesome as well. I’m salivating just looking at all these Unilocal photos! I was really surprised at how good food was! I usually don’t expect quality food at places that offers their own beers and their own kitchen. Not too big of a fan of their beer, but I’ll be down for beer AND food here anytime. Great little place among the giants in Beeramar.

Good small bar and restaurant located in the middle of Miramar. The service was good and the atmosphere was fun. Parking is a cinch. Came out to celebrate a friend’s birthday and have a large group of 40 but that wasn’t a problem. The server was able to keep tabs of everyone’s beer and food… Amazing. I’m always skeptical about beer food but I was really surprised. I enjoyed the pork belly sand which which was spicy but very tasty and fresh. It came with a heaping side of fries. I also had a flight of beers and a few extra pints. To change things up before I left, I tried their one of a kind root beer which had a funky smell but actually tasted really good. Wish this place stayed open a little longer, which is why I’m only giving them 4 out of 5 stars. I’ll be back for sure. Check in on Unilocal and enjoy a free taster!

Looks like Miramar has become the new hub for breweries ! Checked this out yesterday as wanted to have some good food with good beer. Unilocal suggested this as one of the places ! First impressions– a very casual place, friendly staff and open seating. Good food and beer options. They offer some wines too. I got the guava beer and it was phenomenal !! Crisp with guava aroma and a well balanced taste. You cannot miss it, if you go there. The blonde IPA was also good, but the guava one was way better. For a brewery they have decent vegetarian options — tried the fried cauliflower and veggie grilled cheese. The portions are decent and the food was good too; but it was very very greasy. I just wish the food be less greasy. Also if they would improve a bit on their ambience it would be nice. The review hence is more of a 3.5 than 4. It is open till 10:00 pm on weekdays and they take in food order till 9:15 pm, so a great place to catch a beer and bite if you are caught up working late !

Hot Wings: This is pretty well-made. Sauce isn’t salty /spicy. Lots of meats. but sort of typical. Spicy chicken + waffles: Disappointed with dish. Chicken was great /juicy. and the funnel cake was good too but the portion size is way too small for its price. Hellfire IPA: so good. get this! Service was great. There are lots of board games so bring your B(eer) game.

I’ve been to Legacy up in Oceanside a few times but they don’t have a kitchen. I wish they did because no other brewery has a kitchen in that area. Well anyway when I found about this location and that they have food I had to try it out asap. So I checked out a few pics of the food and it looked delicious. I came down and I already knew what to expect from the beer but the food was pretty good and I can’t wait to eat here again. When I first walked in I was thinking where is the rest of this place? It’s very small compared to the Oceanside location but at least they have food. I got a free taster with a check in then I paid for another taster. I was driving so I wasn’t going to over do it. I ordered the short rib tacos and they were amazing but I think it was a little pricey at 2 for 9 bucks. The bartender Carissa was good but it was pretty busy and she was definitely in over her head. I will for sure eat and drink here again and again.

Made a brief stop here to have a few tasters — I chose the nitro stout, nut brown ale(got one free with a Unilocal check-in, woohoo) and hubby chose the Hellfire IPA, That Guava Beer, and the Chesty Irish Red on nitro. We liked them all — my favorite was the stout, hubby’s was the red … he ordered a pint and we shared that. Really becoming fond of nitro… so smooth. Didn’t try the food but not much interests me — most is fried/heavy/salty. There are a couple salads w/potential but no protein so I wouldn’t be able to eat a meal here. I’ve heard the food is good so I’m happy for those who can enjoy it! :)

Dropped by here for a San Di-Asians meetup yesterday afternoon-evening. Pretty nice time socializing with old and new members; definitely check out the group on Meetup. If you see a Starbucks and Savory Buffet place after driving in from Miramar Road, keep driving alongside back and you will find Legacy Brewing Tap & Kitchen. This location at Miramar seems to be their second tap room with high quality gastropub-style food. They have too other locations(noted from the website) — Oceanside Tasting Room and the Brewery. The menus were already passed out when me and Mr. W dropped in, one side listing food(smalls and bigs) and the other side their flagships taps. Checking in scores you a free taster of any of their taps! Got the GUAVABEER for that — light and fruity, perfect for anyone that likes fruity drinks like me! The description in the menu entails, «just great malt flavors accented by fresh white guavas. Huge flavors up front with a fantastic aroma and finishes smooth, dry and refreshing.» Mr. W had a few of the tasters in which I was generously welcomed to taste all. I only recall the taste of the CLANROSSSCOTCHALE in which I felt truly matched the description«dominated by big caramel malt flavors, nutty/toffee flavors and finishes with notes of spiciness.» It did have quite a intense malt flavor. It was also happy hour when we went, however one of the main things listed that I had wanted to try they no longer served(which was the chicken sliders). Went for my backup on the list which was the PORKBELLYCHEESEFRIES — Serrano jelly, creamy cheese, avocado for a total of $ 5 with 90 cents as tax. It was pretty big to me so I ended up sharing with the rest of the guys at the table as I eaten before I came. The presentation of the cheese fries was simple– fries were crisp and a great combination with the melted creamy cheese sauce along with the pork belly pieces. Avocado at the top right side that you could dip the fries into. Only warning I will give you is that you might be feeling a bit gassy afterwards after beer/fries. But hey, it does taste good.

Legacy Is a quaint tap room + kitchen with modern vibes. The place is in the backside if you are coming from Miramar Road so round Starbucks and you will see it ! Parking should be plentiful. Unilocal check in(new) means one free taster. The taster are put in large like shot glasses and you can choose any beer on tap. Once you enter, you’ll see dining tables and a long bar. Beer menu are seasonal and on tap. Their most popular beer — Guava Beer, is a tasty malt with subtle tones of white guava. It was tasty and refreshing. I also enjoyed the Oscar Wilde quote on every glass. The food consists of mostly apps — pork belly fries, Brussel sprouts, short ribs, tacos etc and a handful of burgers and a few sandwiches. I ordered the Classic Burger and I have to say that it was well cooked thanks to the cook! Meat was tasty and bun was butter crispy n soft in the right places. Fries were tasty and not too salty. It was actually quite delicious and up there in the«top burgers» of San Diego category. It was however, smaller portioned and the waitress didn’t give us an option on how we wanted it cooked. I should have asked though. They also have board games and card games for your entertainment!
