Service was fantastic! Food and cocktail was superb! I will definitely be going back!

Bald dude with long wrist bands on his arms is a dick. Not only do you have to put up with crowds and nowhere to sit you get someone being a douche while you pay for a 11 dollar beer. I hate when people don’t say hi and ring you up and don’t tell you a price and give you a blank stare. It is your job to tell me a price so I can hand you money. It’s not that hard, maybe you arm bands are making you stupid.

After we showed up 3 hours early and our flight was delayed 2 hours more, I ended up stopping into Bankers for some ‘I don’t give a furk my plane is late’ wine, which proved to be sadly not very good. The meal I ordered with the wine was hot(though smaller than I would have liked) and the brisket was delicious, but the space was on the cozy side and incredibly busy. There wasn’t much room to stand or set your glass down. All in all in a pinch Bankers was great for some hot food, but nothing to really write home about. They also don’t list all the sandwich ingredients on the menu — so if you’re sensitive you may want to look into it before you order.

This place has a monopoly as the only post security venue that sells alcohol. I tend to buy a double makers mark mixed drink whenever I travel and it’s customary for airport bars to gouge you on drinks and I’m therefore comfortable often paying between $ 10 and $ 18 for each of these drinks. This bar takes advantage of its customers, who are stranded from alternative options by charging $ 25 a drink. I usually order food when I am getting a preflight beverage but as soon as the bartender told me it would be $ 25 I decided to NEVER buy anything from this company or its variety of local restaurants. I’ll be back in San Diego in July and you can bet I’ll be doing any preflight drinking and eating I wish to do outside of security. I’m really disappointed with Banker’s desire to screw it’s customers. I will be complaining to the authorities who approve concessionaires at the airport.

I first discovered this spot while delayed one night — and ended up with a delicious plate of pita and burrata. And with that — a tasty Malbec. The best airport dining experience I’ve ever had in my life! I went back and had truffle fries. They were amazing.

It’s a hard choice to give this place 3 stars. I LOVETHEFOODANDDRINKS. I come here a few times every month. The service has consistently been slow and inattentive. It’s like they want to be aloof as if this is some hipster bar where people aren’t in a rush to get on an airplane or something. Today it took nearly 30 minutes for my bacon and eggs. It wasn’t even as busy as I’ve seen it before. I had to scarf it and still needed to flag someone down to get my check.

The pork sliders were surprisingly good. It came with some thin fries which were also good and crispy.

We ordered the steak Street Tacos and were in a rush, they only took about 5 minutes and might be the tastiest airport food I’ve ever eaten. The beer selection on tap was great, and the gal that helped us was amazing!

Bottom Line Upfront: The Marinated Steak«Street» Tacos are AMAZING and their Margaritas on Point! Now for the rest of the review. Being that it’s airport food, I wasn’t expecting very much. however with the crowd of people there, I decided to try it. There isn’t a whole lot of food on the menu, but the Steak street Tacos stood out to me so I thought I’d give them a try. O.M.G, they are — to die for. First of all, the tacos, are LOADED! and are bursting with flavor. This is coming from a Latino who grew up on Mexican food, so trust me when I say they are amazing. The portions are right, the taste is right, so you can’t go wrong with these tacos. Secondly, the Margaritas are top notch. I was expecting some watered down rip off but these where anything but that. They are strong, yet tasty. In conclusion, I am super happy to have crossed lathes with this place, I HIGHLY recommend and they are definitely worth the 5 stars! Keep up he good work.

I didn’t eat, so I can’t really comment on the food… But the service and beer selection alone are great reasons to visit this place. My most recent flight was departing from the gate directly across from the bar and I had the A1 boarding pass, so I could drink until the last possible second. Prices are a bit high, but reasonable for an airport bar. The tap list was better than almost any I’ve seen at any airport bar — featuring all local San Diego craft beers. It’s a small place — I know the terminal in general is small, but they are really missing out by not expanding the bar. It gets crowded and I hate when people are hovering over me waiting for my seat. Overall, great experience and I’ll be back.

Kevin H. and Esteban B and Lindsay K — these are the reasons you should come visit Bankers Hill in the terminal. They not only provide excellence but they show you the resources necessary to guide you through life. I hate how they have to cover their tattoos.

good selection of local microbrews nachos were good. chips were thick, carnitas were tasty, toppings were generous. of course this is the airport, so its not gonna be cheap. seating is limited… all seating is limited for this terminal nice place to hang out and watch the game when youre flight was delayed. most of the other eateries in terminal 1 do not offer seating or a tv and they offer you crappy service. once seated, the wait staff was attentive.

While it was nice to have a bar right next to my departure gate, it was not so nice paying over $ 10 for a well vodka tonic and having barely anywhere to sit.

I love that San Diego Terminal One finally has a great bar. Before the network remodel, there was a mini portable bar that was corded off from the rest of the terminal. You felt a bit like one of many sheep in a pen. Then came Banker’s Hill. It’s got decent food, though it’s hot sit down menu is better than it’s take away menu. The menu includes a couple salads, street tacos, and hot sandwiches. The takeaway menu includes many sandwiches displayed in a fridge, a couple salads, and some protein and cheese takeaway snack boxes. The takeaway peanut noodle salad is good, though the noodles are a little thin. I’d rather go to Einstein’s bagels or the counter(even with abominable service) as long as I had the time rather than get a sandwich here. What I especially appreciate are the bottles of San Diego beer to go. I’ve brought some as gifts to prior across the country. They love it and are so impressed, especially with the liquid traveling restriction. Sometimes the selection of better than others. It’s always unpredictable though, so it’s more of a last minute extra but than a reliable place to go. Also, you still have to have room in your carry on.

Used some fancy footwork to get a seat here, which is near impossible. Lots of A-holes sit and drink water for hours waiting for their flight. Don’t they know some of us are there to drink? The bartender rocked. Watched Cardinals game, got tanked, flew happily home. Food was limited, but high end and fair-priced for airport(11 – 15 $). People, though were super annoying. We had drunk confused blonde cougar hitting on young foreign happy man next to us and she was L O U D. It got funny after our second very large beer.

What a cute little addition to the San Diego airport! The last time I flew out of this gate area, the only option for food was a Starbucks so I was pleasantly surprised with this new spot. They have local beers and alcohol and a concise menu so you don’t have to worry about what to order too much… there are only so many options. The only downside would be service. Granted it’s a busy little bar as it is the only bar for ten gates but the bartenders could be a little more courteous and friendly. We happened to have two bartenders who were more concerned with flirting than with service. Luckily I met some wonderful people and we really had a great time… especially with our place delays!

Only alcohol serving bar in terminals 3 – 10. Drafts are $ 8 and cocktails are $ 10+ Food is really good but pricey. My steak tacos(decent sized … More pice de gallo and cabbage than meat) were $ 15 and some change. Service is always slower unless you actually sit at the bar. This place is ALWAYS packed. So you literally have to stalk people down who are just finishing their drinks before they board. Once you have a bar seat, service is great! 2 – 3 bar tenders working at a time.

Terminal one is a small circle. If you have a lay over this is your only bar option, which with a vague«Bankers» theme still manages to capture sunny materialistic America ala perky bikini trophy prizes and fat cat 20 year old hustlers. I’m not a fan of San Diego. I find it plastic. Plastic sunshine, plastic people. This bar also does an appealing pocket nuance of this sensibility with a simple greatest hits of non offensive Gastro pub menu like truffle fries, burrata and flatbread, beet salad, street tacos and pork sliders. They have a special font and Edison light bulbs. The crowd was older, loud, and to the eye, horny. It was 1 in the afternoon. It’s a beach town. The cab was $ 12. The bartender was sexy. 3 glasses of wine plus tip around $ 40.
