Worst Mexican place ever!!! You may get a lot of food, but you won’t get what you ordered. Over seasoned so it’s too salty to eat and dry meat. Don’t eat here unless you’re stupid drink. I made the mistake one time too many! 5 thumbs down!!!

Super fresh Mexican food, always in the mood for it! My wife and I have been getting the Surfer burrito here for more than 5 years, and we show no signs of stopping!

Great little hidden gem off the beaten path. If you ever go here their food is amazing! Their chicken rolled tacos are the bomb and my favorite. I would also recommend the shrimp plate as well. Unfortunately they got rid of their ranchero salsa that made everything taste even better. Hence the 4 stars! Parking can be tough here sometimes as well. Enjoy!

Family run type of business. Just 6 tables in this little place. It’s pretty clean. Some of the chairs are a little well used condition but the food preparation area looked safe. My shrimp burrito was very good. I’ll be back for sure.

Pretty good little hole in the wall. I’ve honestly been to this strip mall a few dozen times and I’ve never noticed this little Mexican joint. It’s was pretty good. I was a little disappointed that the spicy carrots cost an additional $ 1.35, most places they’re free but other than that it was good and the service was great. They DO give you complimentary chips on the side! That’s always a plus! It wouldn’t be the first place I choose but if I was in the area, I’d go back for more.

I got an item from their special menu, the Bahia bowl($ 6.60). I didn’t want to have a flour tortilla with a burrito, a better and healthier alternative. The grilled chicken tasted good mixed with cheese, black beans, pico de gallo and spanish rice. They have a salsa bar with onions, limes and hot and mild options. I got the green salsa and put it on top of the bowl. I do wish the bowl came with chips or at least a corn tortilla. There are a few tables inside but it seems like most come here to get take out. This spot has been here a long time(over 10 years?) so it must do very well.

I’ve been going to this place since 2008, but I am so disappointed that the food is just not good anymore. It just doesn’t taste as good as it used to. The lobster enchilada was cold! The tacos were flavorless and soggy. The beans and rice are still good, though. I’m not gonna waste my money here anymore. I’m so sad, now I will have to find another Mexican food place that is good.

Discussing,. Cold carne asada burrito and my friends carne asada fries was burned. Also they must have a meat shortage, more tomatoes and onions in the food. Two orders and both some of the worst we have ever had. Another place to avoid in my book.

This place is perfect when you want quality, relatively inexpensive Mexican food, fast. I love the nachos, they are huge and end up lasting for 2 meals. The rolled and regular tacos are also good! The staff is very friendly!

An amazing surprise. The Albondigas soup was really good, and it was offered up as a special, which made it extra good. A warning: It’s a LOT of soup. The shrimp taco was tasty, but the lobster burrito was amazing. Add to that some really great salsa options and the side of chips was perfect. All the meals are big, not for the weak of stomach. One combo is great for two people. This is a really good place for a casual, delicious lunch!

So I posted about this place before and yet here I am again!!! I figured maybe they had a bad day so when doing my laundry i would try again and get their rolled tacos that have been said to be delicious. Well I’m sorry to say but I can get rolled tacos from ralphs that are better. When i walked in the cashier was on her cell phone and didn’t even acknowledge me at all then continued to talk on the phone while I gave my order. Worst yet was the fact that when I got my order it wasn’t even hot but seemed as though it had sat under a heat lamp and was finished when ordered. This place really does not deserve a 4 star rating so please be warned!!!

This place is truly a whole in the wall type of Mexican food joint. But sometimes these places provide the best food in my experience. This place is no different. I tried their carne asada fries and they were great. The thick cut fries although were not appealing at first but with their more lean well marinated carne asada, and a mountain of cheese, it was delicious. Also ordered the rolled chicken tacos and they were great as well. If you need a quick bite this place is a great stop. Apparently popular with the locals as I saw consistent traffic.

It doesn’t matter if it’s lunch, breakfast or dinner. Bahia MXN delivers! Well not for home delivery, but pretty damn close to authentic home cooking at it’s finest. I have been a regular here at the family run restaurant. If you arrive here early enough, the you will catch the crew already prepping up for the day. Their variety of salsas and condiments are always fresh. Breakfast favs– Chilaquiles rojo y verde, both are delicious! Any breakfast burrito will get your day started right. The flour tortillas are factory fresh. Mexicana Burrito is still my top choice. Lunch favs– anything will do! Their assortment of burritos cater to meat lovers to vegans. Check out their Surf N Turf. I’m a fan of their Chile Renello burrito, but be sure to get them early of they are out for the day. Dinner– Just as good as lunch time. But trust me. Any thing on their menu is worth exploring! The fat: Phone orders are encouraged for pick up. The skinny: Parking’s kinda tight, but that’s what she said.

All taco shops are not created equal. Why is bahia different? Well… there food taste fresh, the guacamole and sour cream are not watered down, they have hot onions and carrots for free, and they have white onions separate if you’d like just onions and not the whole damn Pico de gallo situation. Great job Bahia for thinking about what the people really want in a taco shop and making it happen.

Bahia Mexican Restaurant has made me like doing laundry again. Why, you may ask? The answer is simple. Bahia is two or three stores down from a good laundry place, which gives me an excuse to order their nachos supreme plate while my laundry washes and dries. It is delicious. I would highly recommend Bajia and the nacho plate. It’s also nice that they do not skimp on portions. The plate is big enough to share with someone. I did not give it five stars only because every once in a while, the nachos are inconsistent. They use an inferior cheese, or the balance of ingredients is not quite right. Regardless, even on these days, it is yummy. Also, the green salsa is awesome! Looking forward to my next laundry day!

I order out food here with my girlfriend 1x-2x a month. The nacho supreme is a lot of food. We’ve had their fish tacos, too, which are also good. Their salsa(particularly the cilantro and lime) is very good. The restaurant was updated«winter» of 2014⁄15. I like the bird tables. The staff here are friendly.

Okay what makes Bahia unique in my eyes? The beef taquitos have REAL shredded beef in them! Not this unrecognizable mash of beef, you can see and taste real beef. The large Horchata was great for 4 sisters to share . The signature surf and turf was okay. I think the sauce overwhelmed the flavors. I think theyd be better off with some mild salsa and guac instead. Overall, we were really happy with our meal here.

I’ve been here many times. This restaurant falls into the 4 star category perfectly. Better than most, but not the best out there. It’s a relatively small Mexican restaurant in size, but as Mexican restaurant’s go probably about average. I think their salsa bar is good. Again, just above average. We are spoiled in San Diego with good Mexican everywhere, well you can find it here as well. I personally wouldn’t recommend to drive far and wide to come here but if your in the area craving good quick, and inexpensive Mexican, you have found your place! Happy eating!

Was looking forward to trying out a new taco shop, stumbled across this place. Was really hoping to get a supreme quesadilla, unfortunately Bahia didn’t have one on the menu, oh well, decided to give the place a shot anyway. Parking lot was crammed, they have way too many businesses crowded into this strip mall. Walking in and I’m looking around, rather small setup and their salsa bar( ) looked kinda mediocre, I ended up only really liking the taste of the mild salsa red, the other ones had weird flavors. Ordered the supreme burrito with carne asada and French fries, I called my creation a California supreme. For only $ 5 and some change, it was a killer deal. When I got home, I opened the wrapper to find a massive burrito( ). This place serves up one of the larger burritos I’ve seen at taco shops. This thing was loaded with meat, cheese, beans, rice, guac, sour cream and French fries. It was definitely one of the better burritos I’ve had in my life. For such a cheap price for quality large portions, I loved this deal. The ingredients all tasted great, especially the meat, carne asada is seasoned good here. Its also good to note they cook the meat fresh, it just isn’t sitting around waiting to be heated up. Giving some other menu items a try, the rolled tacos( ) which turned out to be rather meh. I know its not their fault, but when I got home to eat them, they were super soggy, the tacos kinda tasted weird by then. I decided their rolled tacos were a no go for me. I also got some hot carrots to try here, they’re perhaps the worst hot carrots I’ve ever tasted, hard carrots with super vinegar taste, no thank you. Bahia has hit and miss items. So far they nailed their burrito making skills, but lack on some of the basic stuff they should get right. The salsas weren’t my favorite by any measure, their rolled tacos were a let down, and their carrots were yuck. However, that burrito was damn good, and I’ll definitely be back to get another when I’m in the area.
