This is definitely bigger than the Dollar Tree down the street and it has a grocery section. I think it gets pretty overwhelming because I’m used to the Dollar Tree. Parking is great and the lines move pretty quickly. Stop by if you need something Made in China because they have a lot of random stuff.

I thought this was going to be one of those chump strip-mall style 99 cent stores, with poorly painted porcelain figurines that only one’s senile grandma would appreciate, but no… the have a produce department. They sell puffs brand bathroom tissues at 99 cents each? I came here for holiday party decorations, which I found, but will definitely be back for some inexpensive toiletries.

This store is pretty nice. They have a lot of different products than most 99 cent stores. The cashiers could have better customer service.

Great produce. New, clean store. I go before the crowds get there. The only thing is that not everything is 99 cents, so they should change their name.(Not a great location and parking lot arrangement)

FINALLY! I really like 99 Cents Only stores compared to Dollar Tree. I like that this store is CLEAN, huge, bright and carries actual brands that you and I both love.(i.e Pillsbury brand whisks/ladles.) The lines are long but they move very fast! The customer service is professional and kind.

The outside looks beautiful and new. I have not gone in yet because when I tried the place was closed for inventory. 1 less star because I am surprised that the Mira Mesa Council allowed the 99 cent store to not have the electronics to contain their shopping carts within the parking lot like Walgreens did when they opened. I already see people pushing colorful purple 99 cent store shopping carts out in the neighborhood streets. BAD for the community to litter Mira Mesa with abandoned purple-colored 99 cent store shopping carts. Please do something to stop this. Please install that electronic shopping cart anti-shopping cart theft deterrent that will disable the wheels the minute the shopping cart leaves the parking lot. Mira Mesa Council, you folks goofed and approved the 99 cent store opening without considering the shopping cart litter problems that will be caused by this store.

Now this is one of the nicest Grand opening for a 99 cent location. There are hundreds of people in line waiting for there chance at a 99 cent steal today and for tomorrow.(t.v’s, holiday tree, coffee makers, an can openers, etc.) All for just 99 cent REFERENCETHEADVERTISINGTHATWENTFORTHEGRANDOPENING. Now this store is oddly located nozzle behind the carls jr, Walgreens, medical center and library off of camino Luiz in mira mesa. The parking lot for this store is very tiny. You would have to look for it off the main roads but they do have a large sign just off of camino Luiz that do display the 99 cent only logo. The store inside is beautiful of course. Lots of off brand items and some name brands. So come check out this location for yourself.

Looks like the Dollar Tree in Mira Mesa has some serious competition, because the newest branch of the 99 Cents Only Store has just opened! Tonight was their soft opening; the store doesn’t open officially until next Thursday. But that didn’t stop people from stopping by and seeing what the store has to offer — including this bargain-minded shopper. Like its brethren across the country, the 99 Cents Only has just about anything reasonably priced starting at under a dollar. House decorations, cleaning supplies, small gifts, and even groceries… you name it, they probably have it!(Even if some of the items on sale are a bit outdated; who needs a 3rd generation iPod mini case? Unless you have a 3rd generation iPod mini…) On this visit, as I was browsing the aisles, I remembered I needed some tissue for my desk, so I bought that and a few other items for the house. Total price for everything I bought — $ 6. At least my cashier Mauro was nice(a rarity at most discount stores), and he informed me of the opening day deals which I wish I can take advantage of. Definitely coming back here!
