Just moved here from the Vegas area last week and noticed our new home needed some additional plants. Went to Lowe’s and no one was even remotely helpful in the garden dept so right there, I googled San Clemente for nurseries and saw Shore — and I read their ad and thought, they are correct, support local instead of the crappy conglomerates that don’t care about you.
When I got there, I asked for help picking out my plants — needed many, and Quinn was so very helpful and knowledgable — he really took his time to try to get in my head and understand what I was trying to accomplish. He guided me with all the perfect choices and we are so happy!
The plants were delivered the next day at the appointed time by another very helpful guy.
I will always shop only at Shore!!!

These guys are awesome! I have lived in SC 10+ years and always enjoy walking around Shore Gardens in different seasons. Their plants are healthy and their staff knowledgable. Just today I called them up to get recommendations for people who could rip out my lawn and install drought-​tolerant plants (I have a design from a landscape designer). They were so helpful. It is great to have a business like this in town.

We love Shore Garden nursery. We have been a loyal customer here for years. Bob, Brian and Quinn are always available and very knowledgable. We have done several years of winter and spring crops with the team helping us! All our gardens turn out perfectly due to our gardening gurus at shore garden. The team is like family to us and one of a kind special. The prices are right on and the advice and knowledge from the team is fabulous. Brian is so rad with new insight on fertilizing, planting and rejuvenating older plants and large areas!

So last couple of weekends I’ve been really blowing my wad at this place because it’s so awesome. They have a really lovely selection of plants that makes me ashamed I ever bought those carcasses which used to be philodendrons from Home Depot. And if you’re looking for stag horn ferns, this place has alpha stags like cray.
In any case, I worked with Ryan (I think is his name) who must be the plant whisperer. He was super knowledgeable and really played a pivotal role in executing my vision. He coached me on my watering technique and provided a SWAT-​esque analysis on the real estate options these plants had available to them.
It’s a work in progress but I’ll post pics so you can see.

We live about an hour away from this location but our Daughter has been to Shore Gardens several time. I love going to places that are unlike your box stores because they alway have fun plants but this place was AMAZING! My Husband does not see any humor in me and he actually bought 2 plants and that is saying alot seeing how he was not happy about be dragging him into yet another nursery :) This was by far the nicest store I have seen and the most helpful employees.
My Husband actually stated when we need more plants he will drive to Shore Gardens, wow did not see that one coming :)

Shore Gardens has the Best prices I’ve come across from san clemente to san jaun. They have a friendly & helpful staff very knowledgable too! Great selection of all different types of plants from indoor to outdoor :)

We’ve lived in San Clemente 22 years and have always supported the local businesses, including Shore Gardens.
BUYER BEWARE: No plant replacement policy!!!
We just bought three Silver Sheen Pittisporum and 12 bags of soil amendment. The trees were planted exactly as we were told, and watered according to the instructions of the staff.
Two of the trees are thriving, the third died. We are out of luck. Had we bought the trees at Lowes or Plant Depot, they would have been replaced.

Great local nursery for all your home gardening needs, excellent seed selection, lots of organic varieties, and the most helpful service oriented staff. I’m always happy after I leave here, because of the friendlyness, helpfulness, and courtesy of everyone working here, like taking your stuff to the car for you. I will be buying all my gardening supplies here!

A fantastic local business! They offer a great selection of nice quality flowers & plants. Eveyrthing I’ve purchased has done well in my garden, and hasn’t died the minute I plant them.
What puts them over the top is their phenomenal knowledge & service. I’ve stopped by a few times for different things. Everyone I’ve dealt with is super friendly & knowledgeable.
I never felt like they were trying to upsell me. They are honest, and tell you what type of soil & fertilizer you need, even if you didn’t buy the plant from them.

Surprisingly knowledgeable staff full of great advice. I went here with no idea what I needed and got lots of info and guidance. The sales guy was nice enough to suggest that I buy their used pots for like .99 rather than new ones at $ 10+. He even carried my organic soil and fertilizer to my car. He was right about everything too– a month later my little garden is thriving.
