Love San Clemente wines. I cannot think of another place in our area that carries high quality and unique wines. You’ve gotta check it out!

The best place in SoCal I can’t even describe what a great place this is. The team is so kind and accommodating. Tonight was my baby sisters bday and Jeff the owner and his team made this night so special. The meat and cheese trays were the best we ever had great selection and great prices. Fun place to get a glass of wine. I know this bar also doubles and a wine shop, but somebody please dim the lights. No atmosphere because of the lighting. Otherwise a decent plane.

One of our favorite places! The owners and entire staff are knowledgable, welcoming and super friendly. They have a great selection of wine at various price points, and delicious meat and cheese plates. The wine club is a great deal — as a member you get 10% off all purchases, and they do special events and sales just for members.

Great establishment. The bartender at the place was very helpful in guiding us through the wide array of cheeses and meats on the menu. They are knowledgable about wine and patient enough to guide me through their wine list. Also, they are an excellent choice if you want to kill some time while waiting for a seat at a nearby restaurant.

We are so happy to have found the San Clemente Wine Company. My husband and I moved to San Clemente in 2013 and were looking for a place to come and enjoy a bottle of wine and we are so glad to have stumbled (literally) upon this gem. Everyone that works here is so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about all things wine. We have found some great wines off of their recommendations. And don’t forget to order a cheese plate! They are huge! We quickly became members of the wine club because it is such a great deal. Thanks Jeff and Stacey for such a warm and friendly establishment.

The SCWC is absolutely the place to be. Folks don’t know what they’re missing out on until they walk-​in and receive a warm greeting from the very knowledgeable staff. All of the staff are certified Sommeliers, so be sure to pick their brain about what you’re drinking.
Good for a date, to hangout with friends, or to meet a new friend (s).

My boyfriend and I have been members of the wine club for a year and a half. We love taking the trip to San Clemente to pick up our wines and have a few glasses here. We like the local feel and the knowledge of the staff. We have had nothing but good experiences whenever we’ve visited. A true pleasure to visit.

We were going to Nick’s across the street, but my neighbor, who had planned the evening, forgot to make reservations, leaving us with an hour and a half wait for Nick’s. So, we started shopping and I stopped in here, figuring I would browse the «wine store» for a bit while we waited. When I saw that they had a wine bar, I asked Stacy if I could buy a bottle in the wine store and have them serve it in the bar. She said yes, and if we also bought some food, there would be no additional corkage charge.
So, we got a bottle of an excellent French wine (Domaine Cabirau) and a cheese plate with some jamon serrano. It was all wonderful, but the attitude of the staff made it so much better that this turned out to be an incredible experience. For some reason, we missed the call from Nick’s that our table was ready, and they had given up our table, but could have a new one available in another half hour. No problem. We had such a good time here that the extra wait did not bother us. Ultimately, we had a wonderful dinner afterward at Nick’s (who doesn’t charge corkage on the first bottle bought here and brought in), and we will definitely be back to San Clemente just to have some wine and cheese/​meat here.

So, I wanted to surprise my adoring husband for the ALCS game (Go Royals!). We both have a busy work schedule and we couldn’t make it to one of our favorite local hangouts… The San Clemente Wine Company. So I brought the San Clemente Wine Company home! With the help of the fabulous owners, i was able to gather 99% of the their signature meat and cheese platters. Needless to say, Hubby was extremely surprised when he walked in the door from work! Thank you San Clemente Wine Company!!!

I was served by Jonathan Zeiger who was very knowledgable about the different wines they had available at the bar and friendly. They had a nice selection of wines and craft beer! I want to come back to try the cheese and wine pairings next! Clean place and fast and friendly service !

New owners took over about 3 — 4 years ago. Stacey is sweet, but Jeff is unprofessional and lacks basic manners. We planned on making this our local wine stop until having 3 separate negative experiences (driven by Jeff’s desire to play the unnecessary and very creepy Dad role in my life) where he belittled my fiancé and made him out to be an insignificant customer and person. Not only is my fiancé polite and respectful toward me, but he is also respectful toward others and was raised with a complete set of manners. I defended Jeff on the first two occasions, thinking he was just being a bad joker and then decided we didn’t need to tolerate his behavior, as our desire for a local wine spot could be filled elsewhere, namely down the street at «The Cellar» or at «Barnoa Wine Bar» in Talega. No respectful and paying customer deserves to be treated the way Jeff treated us. After several encounters in town and no questions about why we hadn’t returned and no apologies for his behavior, I realized how naïve Jeff is to business etiquette, common courtesy and how easily he dismissed what could have been a couple of very loyal customers and referral sources. For these reasons, I thought I’d share our experience in hopes others won’t have to.

I went here with my Mom and wife on a Sunday afternoon to do some wine tasting. There was a book signing occurring, so it was a little crowded and lively in the back bar area, but we all found seats easily enough. We were quickly greeted and given an overview of the four flight options, including a special. The prices are definitely on the high side with most or all of them being greater than $ 20, however the pours are generous and the wines are good. Plus, the service is friendly and attentive. Checking in on Unilocal yields a 20% discount on a flight, too. All in all, it was a fun way to spend some time in San Clemente :-)

OMG! what a great place! had a meat and cheese plate tried two different flights of wine. everything was great! the service was amazing and the bartending was supreme. The owner stopped by to check on us a couple of times and to make sure we were happy. we are happy and we will be back!

I’ve only been once but it was way more than I expected it to be. Employees were super knowledgable and friendly.
We had to run to the spa across the street for my friend’s appointment and they held our tastings for us… super nice of them!

Came here just for drinks. They had flights for $ 10, which I believe is equivalent to 1.5 — 2 glasses of wine. Not a bad deal. The four wines with the flight were all really good. I’m not a connoisseur by any means, but I really enjoyed all of them.
They also had a good beer selection. Server was helpful and attentive. Cute little place to grab a drink with friends.

We were on our way to San Diego, but stopped in San Clemente for a bathroom break. We decided to walk around town to stretch our legs out and we came across San Clemente Wine Company. We peeked in the shop and it lured us in. We made our way to the back for a tasting; we decided on the Red Head tasting. The gentleman who helped us was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the wines. He gave us great descriptions of the wines we tasted, even had descriptions for the label art and he threw in an extra taste for us which ended up being one of my favorites. I was eager to try the cured meats and cheeses, as they had a wonderful selection, but we were on the way to family gathering with tons of food. Oh, well. Next time!
