There was a time when you could walk into Freds and the staff was friendly and welcoming. not so much any longer. The guys at the register barely acknowledge you and grunt the cost of items. my last visit was yesterday and the cashier couldn’t have been ruder… there are plenty of choices in san Clemente where I can buy fine wines with a much nicer atmosphere …

This place will surprise you with great selection of sundries and booze! Best part is the people watching. The SC locals that go in and out of this place are interesting to say the least.

Well my Dad’s name is Fred. Thats a good start! I been going to this place for 14years + and its hands down the best liquor market in SC! Sorry Rami nice try and we all know you are not going anywere… you will always be runner up to FREDS! Suport your local market!

Fred’s beats Rami Dog’s hands down. They may not have the beer selection, but they are the nicest, coolest folks. Prices are fair too.
