Wow — I just experienced the worst customer service EVER. I just had dinner next door at the Wingstop and had a craving for something sweet so I walked over to the Golden Spoon to satisfy my sweet Tooth even though it’s pretty cold outside. Another gentleman was waking up right in front of me and be opened the door to let a family of 5 people out and was motioning for me to go in when some female employee grabbed the door — closes it and locked it while looking right at us. In shock — I had to look at my phone to see what time it was and read the sign on the door. THISHAPPENEDTOME: the employee closed the door in my Face and Locked it ! MYPERSONALEXPERIENCE ! ! ! The family of 5 told me the she kicked them out before they could finish their yogurt and they were in a hurry to close. It was exactly 9:30 on my phone which is when the sign said they close. In disbelief — I watched as this female employee walked down the line and pushed the off button on each machine in quick succession. Wow — REALLY — I hope someone from Corporate Headquarters reads this and informs the employee : 1) it’s Ok to lock the door at 9:30 but NEVERNEVERNEVER force people out the door at that exact moment. Give them a 10 minute courtesy at least before you kick them out in the cold 2) if someone has the door OPEN in their hand to come in to BUY Yogurt — go ahead and lock the door behind them — but serve the customer ! That other guy could have driven across town to get his fix — I inly walked over. .. But still — HOWRUDE ! So now I’m enjoying a Peanut Butter & Chocolate shake across the parking lot at Smashburger while I am writing this. It’s probably much better than anything the Golden Spoon had anyway !

Had the salted carmel no toppings. It was sooo good. All toppings looked fresh and tasty but I like the salted carmel without. It tasted like ice cream. Way better than other froyo places I’ve been to. Girl behind the counter was really nice too.

Their Cake Batter can’t be beat! You know how at any great restaurant(or yogurt shop) there’s one thing you’ll compare all others too? Well, cake batter at Golden Spoon is it for me. LOCATION(Rating 3) — The location is nice enough, although a bit small and the décor is typical«Golden Spoon» and kept in good condition and clean. They could use a few more places to sit and enjoy the yogurt. The parking is a little tough as it feels tight to me trying to back out and the handicapped parking is not close to the front door.(Temporarily handicapped with a broken foot, ouch) 08/11/2015 Visit: The sidewalk where the chairs are had yogurt drippings under and by almost all the chairs. Bummer… SERVICE(Rating 4) — The service has always been good over the last 6 months or so I’ve been coming here. There always seems to be one person that has allot of experience and one in training. It’s not a tough job, but it’s nice that they smile and have a good time. The owner seems to understand this and has been hiring the right people to date. CAKEBATTER(Rating 5) — So this is why I come and I’m really bummed if they don’t have it. Fortunately, it’s one of their main yogurts so it’s not often they don’t have it. I get mine with the mini, dark chocolate chips. SALTEDCARAMEL(Rating 3.75) This is my second favorite behind cake batter. They do a pretty good job with it, but I’ve had better. There’s has just a hint of bitterness that I can taste that’s not covered with the sweet caramelly goodness that I look forward to. A small tweak to the recipe and it could be a 5 in my opinion. VANILLAMALT(Rating 3.5) So if they don’t have cake batter, this is what I get sometimes. The vanilla is not overly pronounced and the malt I can hardly taste, but overall it’s a well balanced vanilla yogurt that gets the job done.

Not sure that i liked the while«you can’t fill up your cup yourself» the employees fill your cup and toppings. Any way, the employees are very nice and helpful, they aren’t skimpy with the toppings at all! It is a little expensive for the amount of frozen yogurt you get, but its very yummy and clean.

The salted caramel is the best!!! The service here is fast if there’s more than one person working. Their toppings are also fresh as well. I suggest getting something to go since there’s small eating space in there.

They cheat you on their expensive yogurt by barely filling the container and leaving a huge hole in the middle. You’re better off paying by the ounce at other yogurt shops. After several occurrences and to voice my frustration I sent a photo of an inadequate pour of yogurt and didn’t get any response. I’ve seen them pound the quarts on the counter to get maximum yogurt inside, and when I asked her to do it on a large, she said they only do it for quarts. Really, because the GS at UCI pounds every container, they’re not CHEATERS. I quit going here a year ago for this very reason.

Came to this location since they were given four stars on Unilocal! All I have to say is, BS! Found the name intriguing and thought I should give it a try. BADIDEA!!! Casey, the person who was attending us looked miserable and forced to be working there. Never again will I come here. Pinkberry all the way I say!

Fun clean location. Friendly service. Yogurt always tastes fresh as do the toppings. Nice value. Easy parking. Can get crowded especially on weekends after dinner. Wish there were a few more chairs out front.

I didn’t realize this was a chain and was super excited that I found a local yogurt shop. I was wrong but no matter. The girl behind the counter was really friendly and had no hesitations about giving us samples of their flavors. The pineapple yogurt she gave us was pretty good but I was in the mood for something chocolate-y. Ended up getting the espresso/mocha and chocolate mix. Tried the birthday cake as a topping and didn’t like it at all. Super dry and tasted more like bread crumbs. Still, it was clean w/friendly staff and good yogurt. Just would get different toppings next time.

Love their basic flavors(old fashioned vanilla, just chocolate, peanut butter), but the ones they switch out more often can be far too sweet for me. The thing that is hard to beat when it comes to Golden Spoon is the texture of their yoghurts! They’re so much thicker and velvety(more like ice cream) in comparison to some of the other yoghurt places that I’m generally happy to sacrifice the choice of flavors. I also like that they don’t and never have tried to push the«healthy» concept the other yoghurt places do. We should all know by now frozen yoghurt is not the big health leap away from ice cream advertising would like us to believe.

With all of the self serve frozen yogurt shops popping up all over the place it’s nice to have a chain where you still get served. They don’t skimp either. Before putting any fro yo into your cup they first squirt out the stuff that’s been sitting there and throw it away. So you are getting the freshest of the yogurty goodness. Then any topping that you want they press into your yogurt and they give you enough that you can have some with every bite. Plus they serve it to you with a GOLDENSPOON! So you feel like a millionaire. Well, not really, but it is a pretty nice golden plastic spoon, which I guess you have to make sure it is since it’s the name of the shop.

Have been coming here since they opened and love that their yogurt is tasty and a healthy alternative dessert. Last few months have been disappointing: raised prices and portions are about 30% smaller! We will be looking for other options in SC for frozen yogurt…

This golden spoon location is great(and I’ve been to a a lot!). Friendly staff and it never gets too crowded. They usually have pretty good flavors too — graham cracker and st. patricks mint are my favs. Mondays and Weds you get double stamps that add up to a free yogurt!

Although it’s spring, according to the car’s built in thermometer it was 85 degrees. Seeing a Golden Spoon sign from the street Jenny Y made a quick decision and pulled into the plaza for a pit-stop, awesome executive decision! Golden Spoon is much smoother consistency and more«ice-cream like» than other fro-yo places such as YogurtLand or Tutti-Frutti, personally seems just the right amount of sweetness and more substantial. How is this possible for something non-fat! I’ve been to other Golden Spoon’s before but this one was spotless! Bright and cheerful in the afternoon sunshine, entering the shop immediately lifted my spirits up. Since it always takes me a while to decide on what to order, I appreciated the employee’s unwavering patience and personal opinion on each favor. Four samples later I decided to combine two flavors for maximum enjoyment, opting for the Chocolate Mocha and Vanilla Malt, no toppings. I got the regular size in a bowl with cone, I thought it would be easier for me to eat that way. I am such a klutz! =p They do take credit cards, but don’t take AmEx. Final price for regular size was $ 3.15.

Stopped here on the way home from filling out my new hire paperwork at my new job.(Go me!) I needed a froyo fix badly… and I happened to notice this place as I was driving to my new work! This Golden Spoon is like any other place. Got a mini Peanut Butter with Rainbow Sprinkles as a topping. Service here was just ok… I’ve seen better. But the mix of froyo and a nice air conditioned room served it’s purpose on this nice, hot day! I think I will be returning to this spot more often now that I have a wonderful new job less than a mile from this location!
