That was not good. Being in San Jose and the South Bay maybe I was spoiled by Krung Thai and other great places. But this place felt like a Britain Arms with the bar playing sports at the entrance. You know you’re in trouble when the serving plate is the same size as the plate you’re eating from. 13 dollar Fried rice was wet with dry flavorless chicken. No question if we wanted spice on anything. Pad Thai was half assed with a hand full of crushed peanuts on one side and raw washed bean sprouts on the other. Tofu was dry and no flavor on the dishes. $ 25 for two dishes of flavorless food with no detail or care. Good luck on your business maybe the food is fine for locals that don’t know any what Thai food should taste like.

No star for a roach infested restaurant. We had a roach run across our table while they were serving our food. We scrambled to move away from and the servers ignored it. We told the hostess about it and she acknowledged it and left our table. She didn’t come back for the rest of the evening. There was nothing done to rectify the problem, not even an apology. Good food or not, we are never coming back.

Great food, friendly service and a classical Thai warm ambiance. We had tom kah gai, green curry, basil eggplant, fried calamari, chicken satay and fried banana with coconut ice team. All dishes had well developed and complex flavors with a very lean consistency. The soup was light and bright and I had hard time stopping eating it ;) Delicious!

Ok, so the place isn’t that busy and I wait almost 10 mins to be seated. Then I wait another 5 – 7 mins for water. Then another 5 mins to order. When the food arrives — the chicken satay were tasty, but the peanut sauce was entirely disappointing. Then the pad thai — you expect a Thai restaurant to get this right — it was lackluster at best. The worst part of all — the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, non-existent service. Will definitely not be back here.

We’ve only been here maybe four times in the last two years because we live in Florida half the year. Even though we’re not exactly regulars and our visits are months and months apart Toomy, the lady who runs things here, always remembers our faces and what we ordered when we were here last. And no, we don’t always order the same thing. Pretty amazing service! The only reason why I didn’t give five stars is because even though their food is quite good, I have had better Thai food elsewhere. However, this is is our favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. You must try this restaurant.

over priced, small portions, upset stomach. I had 5 pieces of small cut up chicken n my chicken dish, the rest was filler.

Came here with coworkers for the first time. Had medium spicy calamari with some steamed rice and stole some of a coworkers hot fried rice. The spices are noticeable but don’t overpower the flavor of the dish. The sweet sticky rice and mango is a perfect dessert! Would definitely recommend their house special fried rice and spicy calamari. Service was great, they gave us enough time to look through the menu without hovering and was more than happy to split our checks.

My husband and I love this place! We come here at least once a week. Everything is great and really fresh tasting. The service is great and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Finally, they were open during our visit. Friendly service but food is just kinda okay. A little bit pricey than as usual and serving is small. Parking at the back of the restaurant. Again, staff are very friendly and maybe they will get to know you. Too bad I don’t live in this area. So, the likeliness of coming back is not sure. But I was able to have a taste of Thai time.

We loved this place because of good food and service. However this past December the owner rudely turned us away as he was stressed out for being under staffed that day. It also happen to be the day when we went there with our nice friends from the gym. We have no plan to go back.

Got takeout and was fairly disappointed. When ordering a beef dish, I was told that their beef can be very tough and that many people complain. I found this strange in that they know their beef isn’t good but don’t fix it. I guess I appreciate him telling me so I didn’t order it but baffled at the fact that they don’t try to improve it(or maybe they’ve tried?). Pumpkin curry was spicy but flavorful. Portions were a bit on the small side compared with most Thai places. I thought the chicken in the dishes was rather dry as well. If the beef is tough and the chicken is dry… what’s the point, really?

The food was just poorly prepared and clearly contained sub-par ingredients. I had so much CABBAGE in my VEGGIE pad Thai… I get pad Thai about once a week, that’s my thang, and never have I had such a gross space filler added, and in such huge amounts! Jesus! Besides that, the food was flavorless. Not going back again.

Yellow curry with chicken had chicken with skin/fat still on. FORREAL. I practically had to do surgery on my meat before I could consume it. And for $ 18 I expect at least 60 – 40 catfish-eggplant!(spicy catfish dish)

They are super nice here and have great food. They are also really good about customizing or leaving out ingredients. The pumpkin curry is wonderful! I love coming here!

Everything was deeeelicious! I cannot wait to come back! The server that has been there for 13 or 14 years, I forget her name, was a riot and supper attentive to our needs. She didn’t even write down our order, and got everything right, and we ordered A LOT! Again, I look forward to eating here again. I’m already craving the yellow curry! Mmmm

I was referred by my friends to this restaurant, my brother, my sister and I ordered the pine Apple fried rice, chicken pad Thai and beef Phat si io. We all really love the pineapple fried rice and pad Thai was good. I like the restaurant environment and there is also a bar in the restaurant for people who want some special drinks. I think most of all I really like the friendliness of the owners and waitress. They’re so warm welcoming and sweet. Us siblings really enjoy the food and environment.

The food fits right in for San Carlos. The key to this restaurant is the dynamite drinks in the bar. Couple that with the food and you have a good time. Dated decore. But you won’t be disappointed.

Good food. Only reason i’m not giving it 5 stars is because the service is not so great. We reached 15 minutes before closing time and they hurried us up a lot! Very irritating. Food is good though and spicy! Be careful just order medium spice and you’ll be fine. Weirdest thing happened though — my friend accidentally put the dessert into to the entrée plate and the hostess actually told him to switch to the dessert plate. Very unprofessional. Maybe she meant in jest but it didn’t come off too well.

Believe it or not, it’s always been hard for me to find a good Thai place in the Bay Area. Most of the places I’ve gone to are bland and have teeny tiny portions, but thankfully that’s not the case at Thai Time. For one, whouldathunk they’d make me crave tofu? Their curry is great as well, and they even have a bar with German flags and beers for some odd reason. I just wish they’d kick up the heat a little bit. When I think of thai food, I think of a mouth-searing good time. There was some kick in my curry, but not enough to make me beg for gallons of water.
