Sweet Connections

Went here after lunch with a friend on a weekday. The place was pretty quiet. I got the mango ice cream and it was good. Had a good variety. Enjoyed lounging on their couch and chatting:) Also had a back room with some toys that can be reserved. I wish they were open later on weekends for late night ice cream cravings, but I totally understand the needs of a family run business. Clean and had a nice color scheme.

Super kid friendly joint with frozen yogurt, ice cream, and lots of seating! The back room can be reserved for birthday parties and events and contains some toys to entertain the little ones.
The place is clean. Staff is friendly. I only ever get the frozen yogurt so can’t say much about the ice cream. It’s just a decent nice place to get your sweet fix — but compare it with some legit good creameries it does fall short, hence why I give it only 4 stars.

Great place to satisfy your sweet tooth. Staff totally friendly and welcoming. Had the brownie ice cream, wanted to try more but had no more room. Will be back again. A decent variety of flavors, you won’t be disappointed.

Cute little shop with friendly staff and lots of flavor choices! Ice cream was good quality and delicious. Why has no place on the east coast used Andes Mints as a topping?! These guys got it right!!!

We had our baby shower in the back playroom at this place and it was amazing! Belle and her staff helped my friends set up and decorate the room, and our guests really loved the Double Rainbow ice cream. It was the perfect place to have our baby shower, the customer service was impeccable, plus very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!

Let me keep this review very simple. Sweet Connections has Double Rainbow ice cream. Let me repeat. Double Rainbow. In my mind, the best in the Bay Area. If you don’t know, now you know. Enjoy and thank me later.

A great place to get Ice cream, or frozen yogurt and shaved ice, or an Italian soda. I like the fact this shop funds a literacy program. A great private space for children’s parties is in the back too.

I heart Bella and her crew! Great selection of ice cream with exceptional service. Also has big screen to help you keep up w the Dubs or Gigantes! Ample parking on the street and lot in da back. Great for parties in the playroom so nice we been back twice. AAA-​rated place.

I have never written a review about anybody on Unilocal (even the ones with horrible service and terrible food), so this is my first review. Belle and staff at Sweet Connections were just perfect! I have attended several parties there prior to having my daughter’s birthday party there this past weekend. Everything went smoothly from booking it up to the part where you pay the bill. They were professional, courteous, and very helpful. I highly recommend having your event here if you want a no added stress to your party planning (because we all know how stressful planning a party is!).

Great local place with a lot to choose from. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There a room in the back that kids can play in.

What a great place to go for dessert. Very nice people and they made my banana split to perfection. Very tasty ice cream.

Nice ice cream shop with lot of flavors and it got a children play area. Great place to bring kids in on a hot day. Lots of chairs and table to sit and relax, not a cramped up little shop.
Service is good and very friendly. Overall great experience.

I order the s’mores sundae. I have to say it’s absolutely delicious, their ice cream is not too overly sweet. One of the best ice cream in San Francisco. They were very helpful when you need to ask something and ask for recommendations. Definitely coming back here soon.

My family loves Sweet Connections! The location is large and comfortable. The ice cream is outstanding. Most of all, Belle (the owner) is fantastic and does everything she can to make customers happy. We have had a party in teh back room and had some folks show we didn’t count on, but they were able to adapt quickly and keep the kids happy and fully loaded with sweet treats.
On the side Belle and her team go out of their way to help with the community and particularly youth centric events. They are working to improve literacy in the area schools and bring a true sense of community to their work.
We look forward to coming back over and over again!

We’ve been here a few times. Our son loves it. Not because of the ice cream, but because of the play room in the back. On a quiet evening, my husband and I will enjoy our scoops of ice cream and our son will play with all the trains. Works out perfectly.
We’ve been lucky to get there when they didn’t have parties booked, so we had free range of the room.

I can’t rave enough about this place. We had our daughters 5^th birthday party here and everyone loved the place and the atmosphere. Ice cream is delicious and the owner Belle is so nice! She lets you set up early and doesn’t watch the clock. Sweet connections is a charming little local treasure!

The pumpkin/​fall harvest concoction is phenomenal — graham crackers, pumpkin ice cream, fudge sauce and MARSHMELLOW sauce… add walnuts and it’s the best sundae I’ve had.
They have a super loud band playing some Saturday nights, which was kind of annoying since there is no outdoor seating.

This is a great little ice cream shop that we’ve visited a couple of times during our travels to San Francisco.
The staff are friendly, the ice cream is great, and there are lots of toppings to choose from. Be prepared for quite the feast if you order the hot fudge sundae, as it’s on the large side [this is not a bad thing] — you even get to choose what ice-​cream it’s made up of [not just vanilla].
The coffee is self serve, which is great, and refills were offered [I’m not sure if this is by default?].
I’m sure we will be back, this place is a joy.

Me and my wife discovered this charming little gem as we were walking down San Mateo Ave after lunch. She asked me if I wanted ice cream, I said sure why not? We soon discovered that this establishment was available to use for events. With my wife being pregnant, we both thought it was the perfect spot for a baby shower.
Not to be biased, but our baby shower was by far one of the funnest we ever attended. Alot of our guest told us as well. In additions to our decorations, the place looked great. Just enough space for about 80 people. Everyone loved the ice cream! Overall the baby shower was a success!!!
Belle and her staff were the best! They totally accommodated our needs. We rented the place for 3 hours. She gave us an extra hour before the event to setup. Not only that, they cleaned up after we were done. All we had to do was take home our stuff and that was that!
If you have a kid’s event, this should be one of your first choices.

Coming in here is like walking into a little girl’s room. Pink walls, light colored furniture, pretty simple decorations that may attract bystanders outside. It’s pretty spacious in here, and there’s another room in the back for little kids and their parents to play in.
They serve Double Rainbow ice cream here! I’m not exactly sure how many people work here at a time, but there was only one worker and he was pretty attentative and patient. Their selection isnt too big, and their menu is simple: frozen yogurt, ice cream, smoothies, parfaits, and snacks.
I opted for a parfait. This is made with your choice of yougurt, fruits, and toppings. I had the vanilla yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, and granola. A small is $ 4.25, and a large is $ 4.95. While the cup is fairly tiny for its price, the worker was generous with the serving, and i got strawberry, blueberry, granola, and yogurt with every scoop :).
I REALLY like their yogurt here. It’s not the goopy ass kind of yogurt but its smooth and easy to scoop out. It was also cold and it tasted fresh. The fruits also tasted fresh and didnt seem like they were out in the open for a while. The granola was a sweet blend and it was crunchy, not stale.
They accept cash and card. Parking is a hit or miss since it’s along San Mateo Ave.
