Salon Mia Bella

I just had a facial today. It was wonderful, relaxing and my skin looks beautiful. Jocelyn did my facial, she is great.

Came in yesterday (2÷11÷16). As always Marjorie takes care of me and my second skin (my hair!). She never compromises the integrity of my hair for results that realistically are impossible to achieve (like bringing in Pintrest or Instagram ash blonde color hair styles), then again she always plays safe and never promises anything, but the end result always says otherwise! That’s why I love coming to her! So glad I took a chance and decided to see her. Love my ashy blonde color, she delivered although she made no promises! Honest as hell and that’s just good business ethics! Always keeping it real with me, thanks girl! See you soon!

She is literally as awesome as it gets. I first met her when I came in for a fix after a horrible haircut I got from a different salon (my mistake for not going to Mia Bella apparently). After that, I’ve probably gotten my hair cut by her maybe 3 more times. She is so down to earth, but at the same time will give you tips and tricks on how to care and maintain your hair. I have yet to get my hair colored by her, only because my schedule is not as flexible. But when I will, which will be soon!!, I have no doubt it’ll look amazing.

I went to Salon Mia Bella to cut my hair to shoulder length. I had never been here before but saw the great reviews that I figured I’d give them a try. I LOVE my new cut!!! Janet understood exactly what I wanted and asked questions to make sure we were on the same page! I’m so happy I came here rather than the salons in Westlake where I used to go because they never understood what I wanted. I’ve got tons of compliments from my new cut! It’s too bad Linda no longer works here. I remember my last review for this salon was in 2012 and I loved my hair so much from her!
Since then, I would come here to see Karen for haircuts from time-​to-​time. She does an amazing job and always understood what I was looking for. She always made sure I was 110% satisfied before she dismissed me.
Fast forward to my most recent appointment. Originally, I wanted Karen but she was booked during the times that I wanted so I opted out to go with Beverly.
I asked her if she could do a v-​shaped hair cut and she gave me her honest opinion that it wouldn’t look right. Mainly because my hair was really fine and it would make it look flatter than it really is. So she suggested just do layered hair cuts and cut the bangs enough to frame my face. I appreciated her honesty and decided to listened to her. After the cut, she went ahead to curl it without asking me if I liked the cut or not. When it was all done and curled, I thought it looked cute until I got home and washed my hair. I noticed the cut was extremely choppy and un-​even. The bangs did not frame my face at all. In fact, it wasn’t even layered…
I am beyond disappointed because I spent $ 240 before tip (I even got my hair colored by her which didn’t look all that nice either).

I had lived in the east bay for several years and when I moved to San Bruno, I continued to trek to the same hair dresser in my old neighborhood. One day, after spending 2 hours on the freeway each way, I thought to myself «I’ve GOT to find someplace on this side of the bay.
Welcome «Mia Bella» and my new hairdresser, Beverly. I had always liked the way my old hairdresser had done my hair, but now I LOVE my hair: the color, the cut, the salon and most of all, Beverly. Personable, pleasant, friendly and efficient.
All of us women know how nerve wracking it can be to find yourself in a position where you need to find someone to do your hair. Trust me, you won’t go wrong with Mia Bella and my fav, Beverly.

I’ve been coming here for four years. It’s a pleasant experience every time. Janet is excellent. On the few occasions that Janet was unavailable, I’ve had the opportunity to be scheduled with other stylists. Their level of service is consistent across the board.

Went in December 15^th, 2015 and met with Sandra, I had really dark hair and wanted an ombré rose gold and she worked some magic ! I am absolutely in love with the color and how it turned out she did an amazing job ! Thank you so much! It’s my first time going this light with my hair and I really picked the perfect salon to do my hair !

I got one of the best haircuts I’ve had here, a mediocre one, and currently the worst haircut ever! I’ve been wearing my hair in a ponytail for a month now because I just can’t do anything to make this look ok. Good haircut or bad, they keep wanting to blow out my hair, too. After insisting, they finally stopped.

I had a brassy ombré with an A-​line bob that I am trying to grow out. I initially wanted to go grey ombré with a shaggy Bob and bangs, but after carefully listening to my busy lifestyle and hopes to grow out my hair, they came up with a totally different suggestion. Ash rose gold ombré + razor trim, and I’m SO happy with the results! (Posted a pic in Photos.)
3 stylists worked on my hair, and the «hand-​offs» were seamlessly done, with lots of communication between them. Each stylist was like a long lost friend, everyone is so genuinely open and friendly.
I’ll definitely be back

It was my first time here and I had high hopes for this place based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll come back because my layers turned out very choppy and uneven. I probably have to fix the layers myself. I would’ve given this place 2 stars for my haircut, but I really enjoyed the customer service.
Pros:
— welcoming customer service
— hairstylist was friendly and provided lots of helpful styling tips
— clean store environment
— my trim was cut at the requested length; no longer, no shorter
Cons:
— choppy, uneven layers. some layers look freshly cut… & some layers look evenly cut. :(
— quality of haircut is not worth the price (paid $ 50 for wash, trim, and «nice» layers)

I have been to Salon Mia Bella two times and both times i have love it. The first time I got highlights and the second I went dark brown. The sisters are extremely nice and make you feel comfortable and at home. They also educate you on what you are getting and what to expect. I will definitely be coming back!

I have never found a salon that I truly liked to become a regular… Until I found this salon! I was due for a hair cut and a touch up on my ombré and Sandra did an awesome job! She spent her time catering to what I wanted and since I am still new to this whole coloring business, she shared with me her knowledge on what I should do and what would look good. After showing her a couple of pictures of what I wanted, we decided to go with an ash brown ombré which turned out exactly like the picture. Although it turned out super pretty, I was not accustomed to having such light hair and the salon offered to tone down the color for free the next time I came in. After coming in to fix the color, I am super happy as to how my hair turned out and my overall experience at this salon!
Sandra and the rest of the staff at the salon were super understanding when I kept having to reschedule due to traffic and work. I would definitely recommend this salon to friends and family even though they are on the pricer side, but I think it’s worth the money feeling confident and pretty with your new hair!

Worst color and highlight ever, the owners are super rude, I went Friday to do a touch up color and partial highlight, The color looked horrible, highlight were so thin and greenish, they charged me $ 210 !!!my friends didn’t believe that I was at the hairdresser !! My hair looked horrible! I return 2days after (they close Sunday and Monday)
I explained to Anna (hairdresser who did my hair) my concerns, she talked with the owner and they both come to me with a rude attitude like I was the one in fault… they told me we ll fix your hair but you have to pay again !!! Worst experience ever, worst customer service, don’t waist your money and time there ! Not recommended

I can’t believe I lived down the road from this place for over a year before discovering it on Unilocal,and I’ve been a client ever since. On my first visit, purely from stylist availability, I ended up with Janet. She is now my go-​to. She gives me the kind of cut that still receives compliments several months afterwards. My hairstyle always grows out well, and even my wedding hair stylist told me that whoever cuts it, cuts it perfectly and to never change stylists.
I’ve grown my hair out from a long bob, and what could have been a frustrating process of waiting it out was made infinitely better thanks to Janet’s technique. I feel confident that I could go to anyone else, but I tend to stay with a stylist once I like her initial cut. Once again Unilocal saves the day, and now Janet is my hair goddess.

I came her for my first time with an appointment for a Keratin Brazilian Blowout, and my stylist was Beverly, and it was the greatest salon experience I’ve ever had!
She was so knowledgable of the product and explained everything she was doing, and even though it was a 2 hour treatment time flew by because she is a great conversationalist and we talked through the whole appointment. But not only was Beverly awesome, the treatment itself is amazing! My hair has never felt so healthy and been so manageable. The frizz is gone and I will definitely be a repeat customer!

I have never fully trusted any other salon since the one who previously cut my hair growing up moved away.
I’ve been going to Salon Mia Bella since high school, and although I have to admit it is a bit pricey, they do a FANTASTIC job. Hair cut, wash/​condition, and style afterwards. They really do take their time! I get my hair done by Marjorie, Karen, Janet or Thiri. I honestly can’t choose who to stay with because they all do so great! I always come out feeling like a rockstar, (or a new person just because they ALL know how often I change up my hair style).
Their response is pretty fast when booking online. I got a call almost immediately to confirm the appointment I made here on Unilocal.
They sometimes have great promotions going on in their website (like Brazilian blowouts) but I don’t think it’s always updated.
Customer service is great. Everyone is really nice and they always offer tea, water or coffee.
Salon Mia Bella in my opinion, is my #1 salon that I go to. I have to admit, there were times where I went to another salon just because I was ridiculously impatient to get a hair cut/​trim, and Mia Bella was booked and couldn’t accept walk-​ins at the time, and my hair always ended up fucked up!!! I regret going to a different salon every time!

Beverly did my hair. I was there to get an ombré and it was my very first time getting my hair dyed ever… She knew what she was doing and even picked out the color that fits best for me. I was there for 3.5 hours. The process didn’t feel that long because we talked the whole time. At the end, my hair came out exactly how I wanted it to be and it gave me a lot of trust in her. She is a great hairstylist!!! I will definitely come back :-)

I came here on an emergency a few weeks ago and these ladies were amazing!
I got my hair cut at Structure and it was a big Noooooo
These ladies gave me the best consultation to fix my haircut and gave me the cutest pixie cut! and I love the hair dye I have!

I love Janet. I had really long and drab hair. I wanted something different and went for a Aline bob. She walked me through the cut since I would be cutting off almost 5 inches of hair. I didn’t care and she did a fantastic job!
She gave my hair structure and did a undercut. I though she was going to shave the back of my neck but didn’t. She did some magic with her razor scissors.
She really took the time to look at every angle. The day after my haircut looked even better without her styling it!
