The only reason I gave this place one star is that I couldn’t give it ZEROSTARS. The food was bad. Dried out chicken, foul tasting noodles. Everything tasted like it was overcooked and then put out on the steam table. I brougt back most of what I ordered and quietly asked for a refund. They argued with me in front of customers. Their solution was to dredge up more from the bottom of the pan. I will not return. I urge you to do the same.

Dang forreal, am I the only one that digs this place? Seriously the food is pretty good and it’s cheap! Okay, I admit, I haven’t tried much here, I stick with what I know and I usually get the meal for one which consists of a scoop of rice, an entrée, and your choice of soup(hot & sour or wonton) + your choice of potstickers or eggroll. That’s hella and it’s less than $ 5! Whaaaat?! Seriously, good price for some good food. I usually get wonton soup, eggroll(hella good!) and for my entrée I get the black bean spare ribs. Hella good. Although it has been slacking in taste these past couple of years. Whatevs, it’s still delish. Not only that but the little filipino lady is just so nice! My mom made friend’s with her and she always gives a hefty amount of food. Not only that but she always compliments me. hahah So what! It makes me feel good. She says I should go to the Philippines and become some TFC star ’cause of my charming good looks. What can I say, she has good taste and if you did too you’d give this place a shot. But only order what I order, I’m not too sure how the other things taste. haha

I stopped by to pick up dinner after a trip to Lowes. Inedible. Going in the garbage right now.

I only come here for one thing, and that’s their Rickshaw Delight with Lemon Chicken and Fried Rice. For $ 3.65+tax, it’s a deal since they give big pieces of fried white meat chicken and a lot of fried rice. Sure it’s really not the best Chinese food around, but it’s gets the job done for me.

OK, I’ve eaten here many, many times and it’s not as bad as everyone says. I actually am a fan of this place. I used to work very close by and would grab lunch from Rickshaw often. No, this isn’t fine Chinese dining, but what really is these days. I usually stuck with one dish, the veggie chicken. It was always tasty, fresh, quick, and really cheap. I would definitely say it was always better than any chain like Panda Express. Funny how so many people say it’s so awful but I’ve never been there without having to wait in a short line. Maybe I am smart and just order the items that look fresh and stay away from dried out stuff.

I’ve uploaded a couple pics of the food from this place but I have to say… it is disgusting. $ 4.20 for a rice plate for rice, 1 heat lamp warmed entrée(one can only guess how long the food has been laying there), pot stickers or egg rolls, and a cup of soup. The lady at the counter was very courteous; but, that still does not make up for the food that I’m pretty sure my dog would snub her nose at. The potstickers taste like potstickers, there was nothing wrong with those things. All I can say is that I want my $ 4.20 and my time back. If this was my first experience with Chinese food, I would avoid the stuff like the plague for the rest of my life. Note: The good news is that, you can’t over eat here.

I don’t know, I can see why people don’t like this place, but I really like it. And I’m a repeat customer. It’s CHEAP, which is one reason. Like under $ 5 for an entrée and fried rice to go. I almost always get the sesame chicken and bbq fried rice. I really like the fried rice, it’s one of the only places I get the fried rice. I like that it’s cafeteria style and you can see the food. I like that the portions are huge and the chicken pieces are long pieces of breast. As for taste, the chicken usually feels a little dry, but the sauce is good. I just don’t really think you can satisfy your munchies for much cheaper. It’s 2 star«chinese» food but the cheapness brings it up to 3 stars.

Lemon chicken and hot sauce. close to my home and the staff are great. Some times I show up just as they are closing, They make me a new batch to go. Price is also not bad. I also love the Good Karma point cup for the tip. What can i say I am a sucker. If you are not happy with food ask them to remake it. no big deal. I do !

This is all nasty slop. I’m sorry to put it that way but I’m not picky at all especially with Chinese food, but this stuff seems cheaply made and I couldn’t finish it. Thoughts of how dirty the kitchen conditions could be and employees tossing in nasty cuts of food kept going through my head. The building is pretty ghetto and the woman seemed tired and uncaring. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place folds up in the next couple of years. The«sesame chicken» was big chunks of chicken coated in what tasted like ketchup, pretty nasty. Not even really that cheap either, about $ 7 – 8 for 2 tiny entrees and rice, plus they don’t accept cards so I had to use the atm and pay for usage fees.

I rate this place GROSS. This place is great for dieters, because it’ll for sure kill your appetite. The prices are cheap — but for a reason. I don’t know what I was thinking. I had sweet and sour pork, and the pieces were huge. Like 3 pieces in one. That’s too much pork in one bite. Gross. Their fried rolls are good, but that’s about it. There’s better Chinese food in Tan Foran.

I would probably rank this place as a dare. Meaning I dare you to eat at this place or I dare you to eat this food!!! This place is really bad, came here once and man, once is enough. The fried rice was hard and I mean hard like in two day old rice hard!!! the sweet n sour pork was well sweet and not in Sweeettt! tt!!! but sweet as in someone added too much sugar or syrup sweet and the fried chicken or I think that was fried chicken, well lets just call it fried chicken was hard(as in stale) and totally greasy. So overall, I just couldn’t eat the rest. I would give it a one star cost wise, it was cheap! but then again so was the food.

So in the eastbay growing up there was a Rickshaw by my house and I loved the spareribs in black bean sauce. The place was always busy with people ordering that dish with the sauce over rice. So just having moved to San Bruno I was happy to see a Rickshaw. I don’t expect high end chinese food but man this place is really really bad. The spare ribs in black bean sauce was all oil and it was just not good. This place is a chain and they also always have a ginger chicken again not the greatest but at this location extra awful. Funny thing is I’ll probably go back. lol Kinda like C.F.‘s review the service is totally ambivalent and the food is lacking but its right by my house and when I’;m really craving chinese food gurenteed I’ll end up there for lack of a closer better option. That and it’s really really cheap. lol

I cut these guys a LOT of slack. Have you ever eaten regularly at a restaurant even though the food was mediocre, the staff was ambivalent, and there was absolutely nothing special about it? Maybe it’s a comfort thing. I’m comfortable going here, and I find the food comforting. The BBQ pork is good, and I recommend the spareribs, but watch out for razor-sharp bone fragments. Seriously.

Hey I think Chinese fast food is a pretty good concept. It’s healthier than McDonald’s or Taco Bell. Less chance of a screwed up order too. You’re there for the convenience when you’re hungry. There’s no impressive presentation… just eat. The usual dishes include fried rice, chow mein, deep fried pieces of chicken breast and pork and sauces to go with them, like lemon and sweet & Sour. Beef & Broccoli, garlic chicken, spare ribs with black bean sauce, egg rolls, pot stickers, steamed rice, and more. You can get dishes in small, medium and large. You can get lunch combinations and rice plates. They have won ton and hot & sour soups. It’s nothing fancy, and it’s inexpensive. Take out or eat there. Give it a chance.

I was running errands the other day on my lunch break and remembered that I haven’t eaten anything since that huge Valentine’s Day steak dinner I had the night before. I was craving rice and my only two options were Hawaiian BBQ or Rickshaw… I opted out for the Rickshaw and ordered the lunch special which included fried rice, chow mien, pot sticker or egg roll and one hot dish. It’s a carb lovers dream. Unfortunately, the food was bland and looked like it was sitting out for some time… The servers do know how to give you a bang for your buck as they overfill the containers for you. Next time, I guess I should just pick the Hawaiian BBQ as it does have flavor.

It’s not real Chinese food. It’s Chinese-esque fast food served by Filipino people, which, sadly, some of you think, «Close enough.» But the chicken with garlic sauce – on the side, remember, on the side is very important – with the requisite fried rice is a $ 4 meal that’ll just about get you to payday.
