London Fish & Chips

Small hole in the wall place, but good food! The chips were just ok, but the fish tasted good!

1^st time here! This place looked like a cafeteria (not too clean). It’s not like a fancy place but tasted «OK»! We ordered the following:
–Fish ‘N Chips (OK but needed to put some salt to bring up the tasted)
–Chicken Strips (good)
–Onion Rings & Zucchini (just OK)
–Seafood Combination «Oysters, Prawns & Scallops» (good)
*The chef was nice. He said he gave us more than usual.

The food is greasy no flavor… the cook was weird and acted like he was intoxicated. They did not bother with any seasoning and the fish and chips all seemed old. This place should just go out of business.

Fine. The place in Pacifica is a difference story.
They are rude in a hurry even if there is no one behind you. Price is almost double. So if someone doesn’t want to talk to me and I save half the price that’s fine. Plus they have pin ball machines, that sums it up I would think.

This is a hole in the wall place, I usually don’t see people eating or taking food to go, so not sure how fresh the food is, but so far I haven’t got sick yet.
They give you a good size food portions for the price, but the food is bland it seems that their fish and chips aren’t made with salt.
Their sign on the door also says they close at 9 PM, BUT do NOT believe that, I’ve called to ask what time they closed and a woman told me 8:30 PM and I said I would come in before then.
I arrived at 8:06 PM and they were closed and gone.

This place is amazing i dont know what people are saying. There fish portions are huge and delicious i really like this place! There hospality is great.

This place is terrible. It should be knocked down. Bad fish, small portion and ketchup that was fermenting. Hope I don’t get sick tonight! Don’t waste your money!

Really was hoping they would be good, ‘chips’ tooo skinny, fish … zucchini was good… only reason I gave this place 3stars is cause they have awesome old video PAC man. I’m from NZ was hoping the bad reviews were just people unfamiliar w greasy f&c …but these are nasty :(head to Piccadilly f&c in SF way way better

Finding really good fish n chips seems to be hard in the bay. This place has been around a while and I still like eating here. They have a bunch of different combos of fish and prawns with chips. A few times it seems they used to much batter. But after eating here a dozen times Im sold.
They also have some old arcade games to play if your into that. The wait time isnt too long. Wish they had more places in the bay for good fish n chips.
The place can be kind of hard to find and you can drive right by it.

We walked in around 11:30AM on a Tuesday and no other customers were there. First impression of the place is that it was pretty clean, just run down. There was an awkward silence as it was absolutely dead quiet due to nobody being in there — no music was playing either. We walked up to the counter and were greeted by an older gentleman who took our order. He was not very personable, but that’s not a big deal to me. Ordered the fish and chips and chicken (strips) and chips. Fish and chips were deliciously greasy and the fries, surprisingly, were not saturated in oil and had a nice golden brown appearance and a slight «crunch». Prices were definitely very reasonable. Would go back again.

The reason I gave London F & C two stars is because the food was better than I expected… but then, I wasn’t expecting much.
First of all this place could use a good cleaning. not just wiping the tables down but a good bad ass hot steam pressure washing cleaning. I ate inside the restaurant and was leery about touching anything.
The Chips were decent. They came unsalted which I like as I prefer to add my own salt.
The Fish acted like real fish, not the pressed, frozen preformed shapes I might expect from a joint like this. I appreciated this. However, what I received was some of the most bland tasting fish I have ever had. It bordered on tasteless.
I did not try the tartar sauce as it came in squeeze packets. Obviously they do not do enough volume to warrant making their own. I just can’t to the squeeze packet sauce.
Two large pieces for $ 8 was not unreasonable. All in all, it wasn’t a horrible experience but neither was it enough for me to come back.

Well, this place may actually be authentic British, because all I had over there was just as greasy and all.
Similar to H. Salt and Long John Silver, but greasier.
The Codmother at the wharf is light years better, but this is not bad for the area.

Love this place. Always quick service and the food is not bad for the price. It would be cool if there was some light music playing somewhere.

Not the best fish & chips I’ve ever had but it wasn’t the worst. Incredibly greasy and needed some more seasoning but the fish was cooked pretty well. Wasn’t a fan of their prawns due to an over abundance of batter but as a whole the food wasn’t that appetizing.
The place itself left a lot to be desired though and the customer service was okay. Friendly enough but not enough to warrant a return trip.
If you’re in the neighborhood and cant go without your fish & chips fix, drop by. For everyone else though I’d give it a pass.

If you are a true eater of fish & chips. I mean, just love an occasional H Salt esq. type of fish and chip. This will satisfy. But if you are looking to get a fish & chips that are with a flakey beer battered coating, this isn’t for you.
Don’t read me wrong, I really am posting a positive Unilocal.It’s just that looking over the reviews, some were so disappointed. I think they weren’t savvy to the old type of greasy goodness.

1^st time and last time. the girl that took our order had her iPod headphones in her ear. First I was like wow Chinese people make fish and chips?! I could not believe as i walked in… then she gave us dirty looks. Common I’m the same as you why give me the dirty look! But yes i will never go again.
My friend asked for chicken strips but got chicken pieces. Are you serious?! I honestly think 1 star is too generous but they are Chinese, I’ll give them 1 star!
Drive way to the lot is so messed up. the Hump scratched the bottom of my car… =(

Salty!
Weird after taste!

While there isn’t anything terribly wrong with the fish and chips it was just ok.
While I was at seated at one of their tables, I found a bullet hole in their front window. I guess the person who did that must like Gorton’s fish sticks better.
