Well this place sucked and the fact they are closed down and replaced by Chipotle says it all. It’s not hard, serve good food and care about what you’re doing and people will come. I used to work at a taqueria and would make better food and I’m not even Latino! Chipotle… lol. adiós Salsa Verde.

I said a few years ago I would never come back to this place – and I can eat Mexican food almost anywhere and be okay with it – but this is hands down the worst Mexican food I’ve had. I had three chicken tacos that were bland. In addition, the chicken has been sitting in the steamer for who knows how long and tasted old and chewy; that is not to mention I spent 12 dollars for that and a drink. By the way, chips aren’t included. NEVERAGAIN.

Meat was kept on the steamer to long which made it hard and every bite was like eating a hard pieces of pebbles.

Options are limited when it comes to a mall court, especially when you’re not terribly hungry and need something small. Enter Green Salsa. Two tacos for $ 5.15. Your choice of meat include: carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, and al pastor. I’m pretty sure there was one or two other meats but I can’t recall. Nevertheless, you can’t come expecting a full-on Mission style taqueria in a mall. However, Green Salsa does have your standard Mexican menu, including: tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. I went with one carne asada taco and one pollo asado. Much like Subway they make your food in front of you and ask you whether you’d like salsa, cilantro, etc. Each taco is made on two tortillas and piled with plenty of meat and salsa. Not bad at $ 2.50 each. The tacos are not some of the best I’ve had but are perfectly acceptable for mall food. The carne asada and the pollo asado was not only grilled right but also pretty tender. There wasn’t tons of flavor but the salsa helped without questions. My friend had carne asada nachos and they were okay, but nothing more than average street food. Pros: + Plenty of meat options + Typical Mexican menu + Reasonable pricing and portions Cons: — Bland

they made me pay 6.95 for a soggy veggie burrito, with too much hot sauce. i got diarrhea afterwards. NEVEREATHERE! oh and the black beans have way too much water and it makes the tortilla super soggy. no flavors at all, just a bunch of lettuce, beans, corn, salsa’s, watery guacamole thrown together. their sign is hilarious, «best burrito in san bruno» says who??? they are not even close.

I don’t know how this place can claim to have the best anything in San Bruno! The food is straight up gross! There’s a reason there’s never a line here. My biggest gripe? Using the canned cheeze for nachos like you get at 7 – 11. No thank you! Go over to Taqueria San Bruno over on San Mateo ave to get good Mexican food!

Decided I should try this place since I could never pass up a burrito. I wasn’t too thrilled. My burrito seemed very bland and generic. No flavor at all. The shrimp seemed like it was canned shrimp. They were super skimpy w/the rice and the beans but gave me a whole heaping of sour cream. The salsa was sucky as well. All in all I ate it because for a burrito and chips the sucka was almost $ 13.00 :(

I almost wanted to throw my burrito away even before I got it in hand — the lady licked her finger before grabbing the foil and the tortilla, so disgusting… On top of that, she was busy chatting with the cashier the whole time, she stopped talking only once in a while to prepare my order. After the burrito was finally ready, I wanted to pay, but the cashier continued chatting with her friend as if I were invisible… When I finally got her attention, she over-charged my credit card by almost $ 2! Her solution was, I’ll give you back $ 1 in cash! I don’t think anyone can help this place…

I can’t be a pooper scooper with this review. I felt the ladies were super nice that helped me. I had a bean & cheese small burrito for $ 3. They heated up the burrito in a steamer to melt the cheese. The taste of the beans were just a step above Rosa Rita beans, but you know I was happy to be eating a burrito period. I wasn’t craving Asian food which the Tanfran has too much of. LOL.

I’m really surprised by the negative comments and reviews for Green Salsa. The chicken buritto was reasonably priced for a mall restaurant at $ 5.95. It came with tons of extras and toppings at no cost. The salsa was tasty and the cilantro was fresh. Green Salsa’s service was friendly and they did a great job with my buritto. A 4 may seem high for a value-priced restaurant, but it’s well deserved when you factor in the fact that it isn’t trying to be a top-notch Mexican food restaurant — it’s a buritto and taco shop in the mall. When adjusting for these factors and accounting for their service, quality of ingredients, tastiness of food, and price, Green Salsa is a 4.

Over-priced and tasteless! The only reason I went here was because I wanted to take some food – ok, somewhat non-junk food – into the movie theater with me and a burrito seemed like the best choice for fitting inside my purse. Yes, I ordered and clearly said«burrito» and couldn’t figure out why the female making the food repeated«quesadilla» back to me. Since when does«burrito» sound like«quesadilla»? After she was done making it, she placed it in the steamer and left it there until I told the cashier that my food was over-steaming. Except for the salty carne asada, it had no taste. No flavor, no Oh, wait. I forgot the over-load of onions. I guess that was supposed to give it flavor. It was the worst burrito I’ve eaten. I’m not sure why they have that ridiculous sign that says«the best burrito in San Bruno»??? Taco Bell’s bean burrito tastes better than their quesadilla… I mean burrito.

This place is in the Tanforan Mall food court. I thought their soft tacos would be small, like the ones served by the taco trucks, so I ordered 3. Big mistake, I could only finish 2. Had the carne asada and 2 of the lengua(tongue). The lengua tacos were so tender with big chunks. You have a choice of red salsa or chili verde salsa which was quite spicy. Didn’t like the carne asada as much, Gordo’s prepares a better tasting meat. 3 tacos for $ 7.50. The Mexican tamarind soda(Jarritos) was $ 1.95. Not sure I’d try it again, the taco trucks are far better.

Oh man, they changed the meat! The meat was much more tender and juicier then they went and changed the meat. The burritos are not the same as they were before and have down-graded. They are not the best burritos in San Bruno anymore. SF is where it’s at.

Didn’t have their burrito, just because La Tapatia in SSF takes the trophy for having the best burritos… I did have their Chicken Super Nacho’s. Stuff was great. Really filled me up. I didn’t notice any shady cleanliness factors, but was in and out rather quick. They lather everything on their nacho’s until the little nacho tray can’t hold anymore. So much that it sufficed for two guys to share and leave full. It was good though. All the ingredients seemed fresh except for that kind of cheese you get at the movie theater that’s super hot, liquidy cheese. I didn’t notice any rogue factors that would have me thinking twice about their food. Their menu was quite confusing. They had sizes for their burrito’s, one of the reasons why I didn’t get one. They had small, medium, and large size for all their burrito’s, even their Super Burritos. I found that confusing. Like, when you ask for a super burrito, usually it’s exactly what you think, SUPER, as in one size. Not a trio of sizes you can choose from. Complaints: Language barrier, prices, confusing menu, not the best burrito and I know it without even trying it, and they used that kind of molten liquid cheese you get on your nacho’s from like 7 – 11.
