Unique Gifts

I just went in and did some Christmas shopping today. I’ve been coming here for well over ten years and Krita always greets me so warmly and remembers my name and my husbands name. This is my go to place for special and unique gifts. I will always come back year after year.

Cute lil’ shop. The guy behind the counter is nice. I purchased a TY Plush for under $ 5.
Probably won’t be back because it is pretty over priced. Most of this is I could get on eBay cheaper.

My review is based on my interaction with this business but it actually occurred outside of their store and it was not a pleasant experience. A few weeks ago, on a Saturday morning, I was driving near UCR and was on a two lane street in the right lane. A black Toyota pickup truck was a few car links BEHIND me in the LEFT lane. Apparently the driver of this truck decided that s/​he needed to get over to the right lane and make a right hand turn at the upcoming intersection. However, instead of changing lanes behind me which would have been the safe, courteous, obvious, and logical thing to do, this rude driver decided to speed up and abruptly cut me off and didn’t even bother to use a blinker. As this rude driver made this abrupt, unsafe, and unsignaled lane change, I noticed the Unique Gift website contact information painted all over the truck.
So, a few minutes later, when I arrived at my destination, I went to this company’s website and sent them an email explaining that they should warn their employees and/​or anyone else who represents their business out in the community to drive safely and courteously, particularly when they are driving cars which make it really easy for the other drivers who they piss off to complain about them to the company they represent. Well, like I said, this was several weeks ago, and I still have not received any sort of reply, acknowledgement, etc. Either they couldn’t care less about how poorly their field people are behaving in the community, or the rude idiot who cut me off is also the person who maintains their website, and s/​he deleted my message before anyone in charge could read it. Well, if that’s the case, then at least they cannot delete my Unilocal

Unique Gifts is a great family owned store. Pat & Krita are fantastic friends of ours. They have a wonderful family that is very involved and the staff is awesome as well. The store with all of the selections and ambiance lives up to its name…“Unique” Gregg & Susie T.
