This review is for Joe, the manager of the furniture area and his fairly unintelligent middle aged Hispanic woman side kick. So, I bought a mattress 6 months ago and I only bought it here because I was being cheap. Somewhere during my move, I misplaced the receipt which I NEVER do when there is a warranty involved. Ok so I call them 3 weeks ago saying I have the credit card and date of purchase for my mattress and I need new receipt printed so I can follow up with the manufacturer about my defective mattress. The girl tells me to bring in my card and they’ll take care of me. So I go there and the little special needs side kick looked at me with a blank stare and went and got the manager. This man had some HORRIFIC customer service and I believe he was also missing some brain cells. So I tell him what happened and why I needed the receipt. He asked if I have the mattress with me. Uhm yeahhhhh in my pocket dummy. Like I would just drive around with a mattress. So he tells me he can’t help me without the mattress being with me. So I said my last mattress from a furniture store had me call the manufacturer and they came to my home and replaced it. So he goes«well did you call them and have them replace it?» Are you freaking stupid? Would I have been in front of you if I had? And isn’t that why I’m here to get a receipt??? So he tells me I can talk to customer care and maybe they can help. I asked if that’s the people in the front. He goes«uh no… They’re in new York.» OK… What’s their number. Then he fumbles around and goes«I don’t know. Hold on.» And he goes towards the front of the store. Meanwhile, I Google it and start walking out of the store. I told him I got the number and I was glad that he has it now too. The whole time I was talking to this guy it really seemed like he was asking me questions with a smart ass undertone and he absolutely wasn’t trying to help me. Not once did he say«this is what I can do for you.» The whole time he asked me questions that were either smart ass or he’s literally dumb. I couldn’t tell. Either way, I saw a $ 900 couch i was considering purchasing but after this experience I’ll never purchase any furniture item again. It’s not even about the missing receipt. If I can’t get it, that’s my fault for losing it, but this guy was just really really… Rude or clueless. He needs a different job for sure.

Went here today 8÷19÷2015 at 3 pm and got some toys for my baby. The female cashier was telling me I had only $ 2 on my EBT card when I know I have a lot more than that, it was the candy that was $ 2. She finally let it go through, what a mean b**** she didn’t even say sorry. She did it on purpose.

Slow! Not to mention the expired food on the shelves. I recommend you double check the dates on things you buy. I purchased some soy butter, got home and realized it had EXPIRED2MONTHS prior! When I took it back and notified the cashier, he notified a clerk who found ALL of them on the shelf were expired and pulled them off the shelf. A few days later I noticed they were back on the shelf. I AGAIN notified a clerk, who again pulled them off the shelf. A month laterrrrrr I was there and thought I’d check to see if they received new ones in stock, the SAMEONES were back on the shelf! I know they were the same because they were all the same EXPIRED date!

I went for the first time last night. We were going to go to target but seen big lots and I wanted to check it out. We spent $ 100 lol I got some stuff that j was going to get at target but for way cheaper. They don’t have everything but what they do have is at a really reasonable price that’s why I love it. They offer name brands at a fraction of the price. They lines took forever. They only have two lanes open and the store was pretty full for the holidays. They need more coverage especially if the store is this packed they should be able to afford it. Customers hate waiting in long lines. Its a waste of time. The line was the only thing we had an issue with. The aisles were too messy.

They need to hire more holiday help. Holy crap, I went there on my lunch break and got in the checkout line close to 2pm and had to listen to Tamika yell at some garbage man on the phone(I know hwr name because she had to spell it twice) while the inept cashier decided to stop what she’s doing and listen in, meanwhile almost 10 minutes drag by & the line isn’t moving. I was getting one thing and I had to put it down and leave. Another woman got on her cell and put in a food order. The old ladies behind me died and the baby a few feet from them graduated from college. I guess I had fun picking my item out, but purchasing it would’ve been better. Take advantage of the low prices, if you can actually make it to the checkout.

Minus two stars for the really scary hobo who asked me for money and then cussed me out when I told him I didn’t have any cash(which I didn’t!). It doesn’t bother me to run into vagrants, but when they swear you up real good under their breaths, it’s a little unsettling. Out of the two Big Lots in San Bernardino proper, I would recommend the one in Highland. The area it’s in is a little bit better than the Waterman location, the store seemed more organised, albeit with a little narrower selection(not as much food/furniture). Plus, this location is close to the mall and the freeway so it can be more convenient in terms of transportation or doubling up on the errand run. It tends to be like most other Big Lots. And if you go to five in a day, they all blur together at the end of the day. The differences are minor, but this one’s location is its best feature as it’s easy to get to and in a better part of town than the other location.
